“I received my first order from Tastesmiths recently and have been very impressed so far. Before i ordered I used the instant chat facility on the website and had quick, thought through, friendly responses. The website warned that deliveries were taking a little while at the moment due to heavy demand and short staffing due to Covid safe measures. Once ordered I was kept informed of the delivery status with regular emails so was never left wondering what was going on. So far my experience as a customer with your company has been very positive.”

“I had the Goan Prawn pack - it was stunning, a real authentic taste and so easy to do as virtually all you need is in the pack. I tried this first but have now ordered more, especially as you can freeze the pack. No more buying jars of spices just for a teaspoon then they sit in the cupboard for ages. Thanks Tastesmiths.”

“Our set of 6 curries were well packaged and presented, with good clear instructions. We have only had the Tila Masala so far, but it was delicious with added chicken. Looking forward to the rest!”

“Love these packets.. So easy to use.. Instructions are dead simple.. Only thing I would suggest out my own personal opinion would be a longer date but that is me just being picky!! Honestly I have recommended these to anyone I know!”

“Website did not warn of long delivery wait until after I made my purchase. Site said approximately 1 week for delivery this turned in to almost 2 weeks. When items arrived they only had 5 days left before they were out of date, a shame considering I ordered 8 items, ended up having to freeze most to ensure we can use them which is disappointing as one of the main reasons for ordering is because they were all fresh ingredients. Will not be ordering again.”

Hi Denise, have you contacted us for support on this? Sounds like a Royal Mail delivery issue, unfortunately. All our orders are sent tracked and packed to order so should reach you with around 2 weeks on their dates, if they're not we're happy to supply replacements for the cost of postage.

“I've tried 3 of the 5 curries so far. The Rogan Josh and Persian curries were excellent. The Tikka Masala was very good though I preferred (slightly) the Spice Tailor's one. they were all easy to prepare but gave one the feeling of making the curry one self.”

“I have only tried one of the six packs I ordered. (Shish kebab marinade). The service was very good, quick delivery etc and the packs look really good and exactly as advertised. It’s great that you can freeze them as well! The shish kebabs were amazing, the instructions where very easy to follow. If the other packs are as good as the kebabs I will definitely be ordered again.”

“Tried 2 out of 5 I bought wasn't impressed with the tikka masala one. Both me and my wife said we wouldn't order another one. Gave the madras to my daughter who does a lot of cooking. She Made it to the book.. Was very tasty but dry... No sauce at all Was a lockdown moment of madness ordering. Don't think we will be placing another order”

“I bought a pack of 8 mixed curries and so far have tried only two. The first, a Timatar Masala, was delightful but I have to say that the Balti, which I tried next, was sadly lacking something. Not sure what was missing but afraid it wasn't quite up to the authentic Balti taste of someone weaned in the Balti Triangle of Birmingham.”

“So far we have tried the Jerk marinade which was delicious, the Persian Khoresh which was fantastic and the Goan fish curry which was sublime. The ingredients in the packets were wonderfully fresh. The packs contained clear instructions for making the dishes meat or veggie. I will be buying again and when this pandemic is over I will use them to cook for friends.”

“I have now used 2 of my packs. The Tikka Massala and the Piri Piti chicken. Both were excellent and tasted exactly as described. Won’t be buying takeaway Indian again. I have 4 more to try and am looking forward them. Instructions are also excellent.”
