“I had bought an Iroda soldering iron from Maplin, and had struggled since to find replacement tips, so was pleased to find that Switch stocked the brand, and indeed seemed to carry many of Maplins previous lines. The parts arrived within a few days of ordering, so very pleased, and will no doubt use again.”

“I ordered wire wound resistors from you. These were to help me repair my classic car's bosch fuel injection system. The reason I bought these items, was hopefully to replace a heater on a by metal strip. Unfortuately I damaged it when learning how the item worked that had a fault on it. As the heater was a 24ohm wire wound resister that was shaped to go round the bymetel strip, and was 40 years old I could not find a replacement. To get a second hand unit would have cost me £450- £550. So looking on the Internet I found Switch Electronics in Hull, on your Web site you advertised various wire wound resisters. I found some that might solve my problem. These cost me approx £4 including postage. With a bit of thought I managed to fit this resistor to the bymetal strip with some heatshink to hold it in place. I soldered it onto the original connections and gave it a test. So far it goes a great job and the device does what it is made to do. Thanks for being there to help me out, and if my problem is solved, I have saved lots of money. If no I still have 4 more resistors for future repairs. Thanks, Derek retired engineer.”
