The part I ordered was not in stock and this was not made clear at the time of purchase. I had to wait until the part was sourced from the supplier. If I had known that at the beginning I would have looked elsewhere.

Sadly my experience of Swinnerton is quite poor. 6 weeks to deliver a single Mountain Bike tyre with no communication or updates.

I ordered a chainring online. I had a saved address from some years ago which I did not checked properly before completing the order. When I received the email.confirmation I spotted this error. I telephoned the store direct and spoke to someone who updated the address on my order. Unfortunately they'd update the billing address not the delivery address, so the item got sent to my old work address from 4 years previous. My mistake, but I thought if sorted it out when I telephoned. I then had to pay for my old work place to (very kindly) post it onto me. The moral of the story... check your delivery address properly !! A lesson learnt from me, but sloppy from Swinnertons who didn't change the delivery address. Very disappointing 😞

I pre-ordered a part for my bike - which claimed it would be in stock in 10 days. I received it about 50 days later. I sent multiple emails asking about the delivery time, and also confirming that the part I had ordered was actually the one I needed (it had a somewhat ambiguous title), and zero of my 5 emails were replied to.

The folks at Swinnerton cycles were very friendly and helpful, but the overall new bike experience was very frustrating. The bike, Ridgeback Errand, as originally delivered was damaged to the point of being unrideable. Swinnerton ordered a replacement from the supplier which was also found to be damaged when they inspected it. Another replacement was ordered and hand-delivered by Swinnerton, which as nice, but then I had a call from them to say they might not have tightened all the bolts, could I check? They were right, those bolts were loose, so i tightened them. When i was setting the bike up for me, I found the mechanism in the adjustable stem had been tighted to the point that it was jammed and wouldn't release. After several calls on how to adjust it, Swinnerton advised I should knock it out with a hammer, which I did. Then it worked fine. Then the split link in the chain was oversized (too wide) causing the gears to jump under power when the split link passes through the rear mech. I couldn't face another series of calls to resolve it, so I've bought a new chain which I hope will solve the problem. To be honest, the majority of these issues could be due to the manufacturer rather than Swinnerton, but if Swinnerton inspect and prepare the bike before sending to the customer I would have expected these issues to be addressed before the bike left the shop. Getting a new bike should be a happy experience, but unfortunately that wasn't the case this time.

The item was not described correctly, all info correct but should have said that the thru axle didn't fit X Fusion McQueens. Have sent back for a refund but RM have lost the package:(

Negative review for two reasons: the first that the packaging was really poor; the second was that the stickers to be applied to the fenders were not the right size!

After enquiring by phone with 2 separate people at Swinnerton we were assured the price included the connecting lead . This was not the case. When we queried this we were told it was obvious from the discounted priced that the lead wasn't included. It then took nearly a week to advise us which of two leads we did need before we could order. We chose not to use Seinnerton on this occasion as we felt we had been ill advised in our original purchase. Shame because we like to support smaller businesses but staff need to have accurate product information to pass to customers.

The Vittoria tyre I purchased exploded off the rim after about 200km of riding. I was doing 50km/h down a straight section of road and damaged my Roval CLX-32 rim beyond usable. I've written directly to Vittoria to request they look at the tyre to find out what the problem could be.

Product ordered in August, delivered in December. Item came in and out of stock twice but wasn’t dispatched, had to contact repeatedly for updates.

Great product line. Good prices. Of the three or four times I've ordered, twice the sent the wrong size. They fixed the problem both times with alacrity and good cheer. But still, it's a disincentive to order again.
