Pdi on the van was poor, wouldn’t say it was ready sticky tape left on front windows and roof light, outside of the van had several minor marks which only got cleaned after I picked them up, other issues but I will say they were due to the heat. The sales process was good and easy although the sales manager at the time was shouting at our sales man! Service and shop team 100% Jim and Dave are a real asset. The only reason I gave 2 was due to the sales manager and pdi.

Hi Mr & Mrs Boulton, Thank you for your feedback and please accept our apologies that our level of service fell short of what is expected on this occasion. For your information our sales manager in Reading is no longer with us, this isn't the first time we have received poor feedback. His replacement will be starting in the new year and joins from a reputable dealership not far away, bringing with him a wealth of experience and knowledge which we're sure will improve the customer experience at Reading Caravans.

Called this morning to see if they could check out a potential electrical issue in our new Swift granted not purchased through them but they weren’t interested in helping at all we live local just hadn’t purchased as we bought on impulse whilst tenting in the Summer elsewhere wouldn’t set foot over their door to buy a spoon never mind another Caravan when we are ready to upgrade I’ve worked for another company like this in the past and they went bust due to lack of support for a product they sold after sales and workshop being the same so enjoy being the biggest doesn’t mean you are at all the best and certainly won’t live forever when you don’t help genuine customers and potential customers will be steering clear of Oxford and Reading branches too very short sighted and people talk word gets round

Hi Lindsay, We're sorry that you feel this way. Unfortunately due to capacity limitations in our workshops and the need to concentrate on customers who purchase caravans from us, we are not able to do any servicing & warranty work on your caravan if it has not been purchased from us. This policy has now been in place for a few years and is clearly stated on our website. Should capacity increase then we would look to review this policy. I think you will find that the majority of dealers operate in exactly the same way. Your supplying dealer should have made you aware of this when you purchased the caravan.

Purchased the caravan in November last year 2017 all went well sales staff very helpful, Collection all good very helpful explained everything. Service department is where it all goes wrong, On the first outing the water heater and fan heater wouldn't work managed to get it booked into the service department in April parts repaired and everything worked well. Took the caravan back for its first service all good so i thought. Went away the following week end and the water heater wouldn't work again, phoned the service department twice on the Saturday and they said someone would get back to me,Nobody ever did. Emailed them 2 days ago and guess what NO REPLY. Would not use Swindon caravans again for service. But the sales department are good and couldn't fault them.

As 1st time caravan buyers we were pleased that we were guided through the various formats and makes / models rather than sold to. The way that the vans are laid out with all of the same variants in a row was really useful in confirming that the Challenger was the right van for us. The handover was detailed and thoroughly performed. I would highly recommend Swindon Caravans, especially the Swindon branch.

The salesman, Lewis, and shop salesman, Aaron, were friendly, knowledgible, and efficient at all times and stages from initial enquiries, to purchase and collection. The advice they offered was exemplary and at no time did they just suggest the most expensive but the best option for us. Everything we ordered had been put on the caravan prior to collection and the caravan had been cleaned. The caravan and accessories were competatively priced and discounts offered.

Very good company which supply a excellent service. I travelled 3 - 4 hrs because of my location and they completed the deal to suit me from point off and time of availability through to dispatch, and allowed me time in the shop to purchase awning, towing cover and other spares. Aftersales was also first class and supplied a spare set of keys FOC. Cannot praise Swindon Caravans highly enough from the very first phone call right through to the aftersales team, they gave us total confidence with the open transparent policy, polite and honest opinions with all there professional experience. After purchasing an old Bessacar 550 GLD privately we then found it had major damp, after a few trips away we went into Swindon Caravans just see if they had something that better suited the car and also had the layout we really wanted. Within minutes our sale rep Tina not only found exactly what we wanted, we was so pleased we purchased it same day. All the staff since have been so helpful and kind. Even resolving a couple of small issues we had with our Baily Ranger 460/4 we purchased, no fuss and nothing was too much trouble. We now recommend Swindon Caravans to all our friends. 10/10 service from sales to after sales and indeed the staff in the shop.

Hi Mr Powell, I understand your frustrations. As discussed via email, all the parts are currently on order with Lunar. The lead times on parts with Lunar is currently 8 weeks so we would expect them to be delivered by the end of the month / early November. Unfortunately we are unable to control this. As soon as the parts have been received from Lunar we will collect your caravan (as agreed) and undertake the remedial work. Regards, Tom

Very happy with the service we received on buying our new caravan. It was a huge deal for us as we were importing it into NZ without being able to visit the dealership. Communication was great, service was great. We will definitely use Swindon Caravans again for my future caravan purchases!

my caravan leaks and they will do nothing to help us i admit I've missed a service but its only two years old a lunar quasar and they know that lunar have problems as the service manager told us they get loads back well thats £20,000 wasted no help offered at all
