“We have just bought a second hand caravan from the Reading Caravan Centre. From start to finish we had excellent, friendly and helpful service, from Michaela in Sales, Andy in Technical, Ian on Handover to Jim and Lynn in the shop. Even when we made silly beginners mistakes (and we are not beginners) they were very patient with us. They answered all the questions thoroughly, were quick to provide advice and flexible with our change in requirements. The caravan had been efficiently cleaned inside and out. This is the second caravan we have bought from them and would recommend them to anyone.”

“I recently purchased a pre used van from Reading Caravans and the service from all was excellent from Sales, Simon and Michaela who made the process exceedingly easy and I felt they had my interest at heart. The shop staff were very helpful in sorting out specific Items I required for the new caravan to comply with the insurance requirements. Last but not least Andy in Service who was very helpful during the PDI work. All in all, and excellent team to do business with and I would highly recommend them. I will go to them again for my next caravan purchase at them again for my next purchase.”

“I have been asked that if I am happy, to write a review. Unfortunately, I am not at all happy with our new caravan and the amount of serious problems we are having, from breaks not working and Alko hitch problems, along with many, many other less major problems. Fortunately, we were able to get the breaks fixed at Oxford Caravans, but we have not been able to get a refund on the £250 we have paid out to have the hitch repaired 3 times, or given any advice on how to prevent it happening again! The 2nd time it happened when the caravan would not unhitch from the car, we had just arrived home and were blocking ours and our neighbours home. Luckily we managed to get a local mobile repair man out quickly. The 3rd time, just a few weeks ago, we were on holiday and were stranded for 4 days because we could not travel anywhere. We had gone to be near the sea, but could not visit the sea because we had no car. Oxford Caravans say they cannot do anything about it or refund what we have paid out on repairs. They also say that Alko cannot help because our Warranty is for only 18 months and yet the caravan is not yet two years old. We have been caravanning for almost 30 years and have not had this problem with any of our previous four caravans. I will be writing to Alko, Bailey and the Caravan Club because this service is not at all good. If I purchased a new car and had a problem, I would take it back to the garage I had purchased it from. A Not at all happy customer! WE HAVE BEEN REFUSED 2 REFUNDS.”

Hi Mr Withers, We're sorry to hear that you haven't been happy with the service we have provided. It seems you had a few minor issues initially but these were rectified on your first service to your satisfaction. You then called us at the end of July to say you were going on holiday but were having issues with the fridge. We managed to get you in the next day to repair the fridge. We also noticed an issue with the hitch damper and managed to fit a new one at the same time under warranty. The first time you raised an issue with the hitch pads was 10 days ago and you had paid £110 for which you wanted reimbursement. Unfortunately, as explained, the hitch pads are not covered under warranty because they are items subjected to wear and tear. We would be more than happy to discuss any future requirements should you wish.

“The whole process from an initial off-hand viewing, through to post sales support, was exemplary, we were very impressed. They sales team were professional, supportive and not at all pushy, handover was excellent, and post sales support from Sales, Handover and Engineering (we used them all!) was exceptionally quick. Beyond expectations. And although we have a couple of teething problems with our new caravan we are in no doubt they will be resolved.”

“We found all the staff at Oxford Caravan Centre very friendly and approachable, they had a large selection of new and used caravans/ motorhomes to choose from. We chose to purchase a 2 berth caravan and was helped by Lewis Sirett who was very knowledgeable. When we went to collect the caravan Lewis went through all the details and was extremely helpful. If you are looking to buy a caravan I would highly recommend visiting Oxford Caravan Centre.”

“We have just purchased a Bailey 640 GT75 and as first time buyers were a bit unsure and had little knowledge when we visited the Reading centre. We dealt with Simon who gave us all the information we required and allowed us to look around various caravans at our own pace. We felt at ease and trusted his advice. We had a handover from Ian, who was a font of all knowledge and thoroughly explained all the functionality and demonstrated with patience all the relevant and important aspects of our new caravan. It was a great experience from start to finish and the team were professional but relaxed, which we really liked. I would highly recommend the Reading caravan centre and glad we bought from our local supplier. Looking forward to our many adventures ahead!! Kenny & Danielle Mark”
