Our first lesson with David was absolutely fantastic. He took the time to get to know our son and assessed his abilities in a relaxed and fun way. We were amazed that even in this session he made progress. David was gentle and reassuring with Ollie and made him feel completely safe. So far we have been very impressed and are excited to see him grow further in confidence and skill as his lessons continue.

My swimming instructor Lisa was amazing and she would get 5 stars. However, the company is poor. When you are having lessons, constantly phoning to get you to pay for more lessons (which are expensive). Call at weekends and emailing constantly. Before I finished, I was due a certificate. Didn't arrive in time. Emailed repeatedly with no reply. Eventually they emailed back and said they would post one. It never arrived. Not interested as didn't need more lessons. Something as small as a certificate is easily done and is worthwhile, but they were not interested, extremely poor condisering how much it costs for lessons. Only interested in money not the actual customer.

In my opinion DO NOT book swimming lessons with this company! A course of 6 lessons cost me £270 - so £45 per 30 minutes. Not insignificant by any means! The lady teaching me - Lisa me was lovely. Not her fault at all! My huge issue with the swim school occurred when my mother in law was taken unwell a few hours before one of my lessons. She had to be taken to Stoke hospital and by the time this was established by the Paramedics I knew I would have to miss my lesson. I couldn't leave my very unwell mother in law in ED alone and confused. I emailed the rep Graham, and also mentioned it to Lisa on the next lesson. However, all Graham could say in his return email was that they operate a strict 24 hour no show policy and I would lose the lesson. This happened around six weeks ago and I've been away from home since. I've recently returned home and contacted Graham about the matter again. I explained that I'd booked 6 lessons upfront before I went abroad. I just wanted some lessons beforehand to help me in the water a little bit and It would have helped at the time If the school could have offered me another lesson maybe a day or 2 later, as the situation was unavoidable. Graham hasn't responded at all. I've had a WhatsApp message today from Simon (manager?) responding to my query???? but instead advising me about taster lessons, swimming lessons and locations near to me!. Even if he were to offer me 1 lesson now, that wouldn't help. I've been on holiday and don't require any further lessons now He also says to ring or message him back which I have . Surprise surprise no response - I've done both. I'm sure If I was ringing to book lessons the response would be more or less immediate. (It certainly was when I did initially book) Certainly not at the extortionate price of £270 ( I was desperate at the time) I'm not even necessarily asking for my £45 back. I feel as If that's lost now! I just expected better customer service at the time for the money paid I rarely write reviews. This whole situation has annoyed me hugely and I just want to warn other people off this company.

Professional service iro booking lessons. My instructor, Joanne, contacted me and let me know exactly what to expect and also to ask what my experience was. Lessons were always on time and filled with teaching and practise. I finished my set of lessons with much improved confidence and the ability to relax and enjoy the water. Th as no you so much.

Millie has been absolutely amazing, my 9 year old daughter hadn’t had swimming lessons since before Covid and had really lost her confidence. Millie instantly put her at ease, and I can really see the progress after a few weeks. My daughter never enjoyed her swimming lessons before coming to Swim Now, but now she can’t wait to have one. We feel so lucky to have found Millie, as she has a real gift for teaching and such a lovely manner.

At my first session I was made very welcome by my instructor, Helen right from the start. She made me feel safe in the water immediately despite my mobility limitations. She was very attentive to my specific needs & gave very clear instructions & encouragement throughout. I felt that I was making progress very quickly. An excellent session.

Sheffield - Gareth dealt with everything quite quickly. I had Pete and Flo who were both very patient with me (adult beginner). Nice hotel and pool. I would recommend.

Very poor communication, receive interesting email 6/8 re adult crash course lessons (very interesting in my own situation) used the "drop message" option to request more info the same day. 7/8 get an automated email back directing to website (that makes no mention of the course) and asks to leave a number for a call if questions not answered. Well, definitely not answered so left details, a request to leave message if no answer as not always possible to answer call...and....no calls after 7 days. Don't get me wrong, I wasn't expecting a call the next day - but for what suggests to be a busy promo - no call Mon-Fri, directing to website that has no details up - really poor. This may actually be the 2nd time I've tried to get info/book with these folks (unsure re situ the first time) but after this - they obviously don't need the money- unsubscribed and going elsewhere

My daughter started her swimming lessons with swimming coach Robyn at Swim Now, Macclesfield, Everlast Gym which has a lovely pool as well as good parking. My daughter suffered a traumatic incident when swimming with school, she was asked to jump into the deep end of the pool when she cannot swim (complete non swimmer), the teacher who was taking the children's class on that day did not know their capabilities. This left my daughter very afraid of water and I did not think she would ever get in a pool again. Since swimming with Robyn at Swim Now she has made significant progress in such a short amount of time. Robyn is very friendly and she has gained my daughters complete trust. I would recommend Robyn at swim now to teach anyone of any age/capability to learn how to swim. Needless to say as a mother I am so thankful for Robyn & Swim now.

You have to pay a not un-significant fee of £35 for a 'taster' session. They took this in advance and I then had to wait for over 4 weeks to be scheduled into a session by which stage I had already given up and scheduled another instructor elsewhere. I had to cancel the taster session at late notice. I was then offered another session with no mention of another charge, only to be told a few days before the session that I would have to pay another £35. I would have no issue paying the fee if this had if been explained when the session was offered. Rather than apologising for the lack of transparency, your customer service rep, Gareth Mills, got incredibly defensive on the call and then hung up on me. Terrible service all round!

We spent a long time looking for a swimming teacher for our very nervous 5 year old. From day 1 Andy made him feel safe in the water. His way of teaching is fun. We signed up for 12 lessons but soon booked another set and another because the progress was amazing. Our son will miss his lessons when we finally stop! Lessons may not be cheap but the intense one to one with Andy make it worth it!!

I had only done two lessons with Andy. A person like me who had never done swimming got so much confidence to be in water. Andy really made me feel comfortable and gained my confidence in water in the two lessons. If my health permits me I will always go to Andy to learn swimming. Really a good trainer.

I had a fantastic experience learning with Pete! I’m a beginner swimmer - I could swim to stay afloat but I didn’t know any proper techniques. Pete helped me break down the moves for breaststroke and front crawl, giving me easy, buildable drills to practise the proper arm and leg movements. He also helped me practise good breathing, so I could be more efficient. His explanations were clear and he was very patient with me as I figured things out! I feel like I made so much progress in a short time, and now feel confident swimming 4-500m at a time - and it’s actually fun! I really recommend Pete & the Swim Now team :)

Can highly recommend David at Swim now. My son was a very nervous swimmer and was struggling to make progress in regular swimming classes. After 12 weeks of 1-1 sessions with David my son has gained so much confidence and is swimming really well. Thank you so much David and Swim now!

Our son was taught by Andy and really enjoyed his lessons. Andy made the lessons fun and our son looked forward to them each week. He has now become confident in the water making it easier to teach the actual skill.

Nate recently completed his 3 months with Millie. We started with an apprehensive little Autistic boy who screamed the place down at a main stream swimming lesson so we were worried even getting him into water again could be hard, and ended up with a different child who not only wants to go into the water but found ‘swimming with Millie’ to be the highlight of his week. Teaching a non verbal autistic child is an art and needs the patience of a saint at times, Millie not only got him enjoying his time in the water but occasionally grabbed his full attention and had him swimming a few strokes. We both recognised the biggest issue in his last couple of lessons was he could stand up in the pool and did not need to swim. We are on holiday this week with a small private pool 5 foot at the deeper end and he is swimming several metres unaided and with a big smile on his face. So thank you swim now and the wonderful Millie.

I had lessons with Pete before lockdown, I was immensely impressed with his patience and skill with a 60 year old non swimmer with a number of back and shoulder issues. I thoroughly enjoyed my holiday that year I was confident in the pool with my grandchildren it was awesome. Then lockdown came and I lost all my confidence so I made the decision to invest in a further set of sessions recently in preparation for my family holiday. What can I say?? Pete is so professional, always kind, but firm with high expectations of me. I am delighted to say, I have improved my confidence and stroke because Pete broke it down for me and thought about the best way to instruct me - I am better if I see things done, which he did, many times. I am eternally grateful to SwimNow but even more grateful to Pete for his skill, expertise and unerring patience. Thank you Pete I feel like a swimmer again. I would highly recommend both Pete as an instructor and SwimNow
