Family and friends have tried to teach me how to swim to save myself but unfortunately they have failed until I have started Swimnow and I was introduced to professional trainer called Pete who is great person overall. I had water phobia for long time and I used to panic even during lesson until my trainer Pete has recognised this issue and made me overcome the issue gradually. Pete’s swimming methods and techniques are unreal as it helped me- I am hard to train whenever am panicking especially in water and I am glad to say his methods have helped me build confidence.

Only had one lesson so far, but Amy is absolutely great. Tailored to what I needed, and helping me with my confidence massively. Can't wait for my next lesson, and was initially nervous.

Andy was very positive with our children and they made great progress in their lessons. I would highly recommend one to one lessons and hope to be back in the future. Thanks Andy!

Pete is a great coach. Made me feel really confident in the water. I'm doing this in preparation for a military assessment and Pete took that into consideration straight away. Great teaching style and super engaging. Would highly recommend swim now for anyone of any age!

As a complete beginner and in my 60s, I have started to swim front and back crawl after three lessons. I am more confident in water and increasing stamina with each lesson. This is all due to excellent individual teaching by Ryan who teaches you the correct techniques and explains beautifully. I would highly recommend Swim Now to anyone who has struggled to learn swimming even if they are in their 60s.

After a knee operation my consultant told me I couldn’t play football anymore but I was allowed to swim!!! Unfortunately I was useless at swimming but I researched adult swimming lessons and found swim now. I’ve now had a number of lessons in Sheffield with Pete and I can’t recommend him highly enough. He is a natural coach - bright, patient and encouraging and has made the lessons really enjoyable. I feel I’m making progress in terms of technique, fitness and flexibility and it’s great for wellbeing too.

I done a bunch of lessons with Andy and it really improved my technique, muscle endurance and overall fitness level. I was also given exercises to do, outside of my lessons which really helped to bring me on.

I would rate this 5 for the swimming coach Kim, I do feel the costs are on the high side for the company as a whole.

Good and accommodating swimming teachers, however the prices for private tuition/ lessons are very expensive compared to other companies, in fact SwimNow rates are almost double the rates of other reputable swimming companies in similar location. Otherwise good level of service so far. Best wishes

Well to start off.... Before coming and taking these swimming lesson I was so scared to the point I was crying when I first met Amy. Taking these lessons has been life changing from 28 years of dreading the water to now wanting to be in it all the time. Amy was incredibe she was patient but also pushed you when you needed it, it was like going swimming with a supportive friend than a teacher, I can't recommend this company enough! It isn't just swimming lessons it's also therapy to help you realise why you are scared of the water and gain control. Thanks again Amy! You have been amazing! ❤️

Learning to swim as an adult is daunting but Pete is very patient and I now feel comfortable in the water and I am doing things I never thought I would. I plan on carrying on because I don’t just want to be confident in the water I want to swim properly to enjoy family time and time in the pool with my daughter….. definitely recommend!

After years of not going in swimming pools due to being a poor swimmer and feeling very self conscious i finally decided to book some swimming lessons to help improve my swimming and confidence in the water. Tom at Durham was a brilliant teacher. He made me feel at ease from the very beginning. I had three sessions with Tom and the improvement i felt in such a short time was amazing. He was very patient with me and showed me where i was going wrong and how i could improve. His teaching style was very relaxed and friendly. Thanks a lot Tom!!

I was very hopeful when I booked my child onto the 3 month swimming option with a promise that my child would be swimming by the end of it. It's very very expensive but I was willing to invest if it was to get my child swimming. No such luck. Every week I watched while my child was taught basically nothing. Stuff that I could do myself aty local baths. Very disappointed, hundreds of pounds worse off and back to square one.

Tom at Durham helped myself and my husband go from years of slowly making our way from one end of the pool to the other without style, grace or speed to being absolute dolphins in comparison. We are both closer to 70 than 60 so thought it about time we did something to correct our appalling swimming strokes. Initially I signed up for 12 lessons, but Tom’s professional tuition meant that after just 8 lessons I was so happy with my progress that I transferred the remaining 4 to my husband who is also now happy. We joined a gym with a pool to ensure we could practice what we’d been taught each week and can now zoom up and down with style and grace overtaking those who have not had the benefit of this programme. I would thoroughly recommend anyone who is considering taking lessons to do so, especially if you live close enough to Durham to be able to learn from Tom. You might think it’s an expense you don’t need, but if it saves you from years of ridicule from your kids it’s worth it. We both wish we’d done it years ago.
