Disappointing Experience and Non-Compliance with Cancellation Request I recently ordered an existing private number plate through Swiftreg and, unfortunately, had a very disappointing experience. I selected the fast track service which allowed me to choose a transfer date. Shortly after placing my order, I was notified that the plate owner was on holiday and that the date I selected was not guaranteed (despite it saying nothing of the sort on the page where I chose the fast track service and handed over my money.) This date was very important as it was for a relative's birthday that has recently been diagnosed with cancer. So I decided to cancel and immediately notified the vendor, requesting a full refund before any processing took place. The order was still in state "AVAILABLEWAITINGPROOF", so clearly nothing had progressed. Despite my clear and timely request, the vendor proceeded to produce and dispatch the physical plates the following day, ignoring my expressed wishes to cancel. Even more concerning, the vendor dispatched the plates before confirming the necessary DVLA registration transfer, meaning the plates are legally unusable until officially assigned. I called the DVLA Number Plate Reseller Service, who informed me that Swiftreg's actions disregard the DVLA requirements, which mandate ID verification and assignment before production. Now I am left with unusable plates, and my repeated requests for a refund have been repeatedly ignored and/or denied. The lack of transparency about cancellation policies and failure to honour a legitimate cancellation request has left me frustrated and disappointed. Had I known this beforehand, I would have been very cautious and possibly avoided dealing with this vendor, as they did not meet my expectations for professional and compliant service. Mark (who is apparently company director and major shareholder) has been extremely unhelpful and patronising in his responses, referring me to their terms and conditions and refusing to explain to me why they ignored my cancellation request and fast track shipped the plates. I am now having to waste days and days of my time raising a dispute with my credit card company, sending evidence of regulatory breaches to the DVLA, and pursuing Swiftreg in the small claims court in order to get my money back! I also have concerns about the integrity of their reviews score. They did not send me an invitation to leave a review and I have only been able to leave one after contacting reviews.io and sending them my proof of purchase! When companies sign up with REVIEWS.io, they are expected to send review invitations to ALL customers who have make a transaction. REVIEWS.io emphasises that businesses should not selectively send invitations only to satisfied customers. They didn't send me an invite as they knew I had complained!!!

Lost money on my first plate when changing my car as registration was associated with a sorn vehicle and wasn’t offered any diccount on purchasing another ! … not happy

After buying a reg as a gift only to realise car on 07 & reg 57;so not entitled to go on car contacted swift reg just to be told in not so many words tough !!!! Nothing they can do even though not as reg 28 days terrible service steer clear !!

Customer service absolutely diabolical. Within an hour of ordering I tried to contact them by only method possible E-mail! No reply! Subsequently sent 3 other E-mails and still had no reply to any! In their confirmation E-mail states reply to this E-mail or contact us by email… Nothing!!!!!

Very disappointed with this service although it states you can’t cancel when you order. I tried to change a number plate I ordered not cancel the complete order which I done on a Sunday and emailed them this. Surely nothing would have happened on a Sunday but when I phoned on the Monday I was told I would still have to pay a cancellation fee although I only wanted to change reg I had previously chosen. This being another £75.00 Not very impressed

Very poor communication didn't even have this registration number had to purchase it them selves first waited a month to get it and couldn't get it in my daughters name just came on a transfer note will look elsewhere next time!!
