“Very good course, it will dust of any cobwebs you have with Microsoft word and in an online social setting (I've always been an anonymous user online) and develop some confidence. Could have been a little longer with a bit more content as 10 days goes by so fast. Our tutor "Janet" was highly competent, professional, patient and done everything she could to make us pass, even the few course members who couldn't fully keep up for a range of reasons. I reckon Microsoft Excel and Google Calendar could have been added in the course. It was a little bittersweet that it ended so quickly. Strive itself could do with making sure everyone who signs up to their course has a laptop and Microsoft word it will just make life easier for the student and the tutor. Someone at Strive set up a Microsoft account for me with my name and details, I didn't give permission for that, that didn't fall under data protection GDPR 2018 (what else could I have been signed up for unbeknownst to myself?) one of my few complaints but that had nothing to do with the tutor that was more admin. There was a couple of other things with my ID, but I will leave that for a Trustpilot review.”

“If you are going to repeatedly chide and admonish students on punctuality, please remind yourselves of this: Your initial e-mail instructed us to meet at NewCity College at 9.15am so that passes could be issued and the course would start promptly at 9.30am. If the first sign of you is at 9.27am without the correct pass names then this sets a poor tone. It was unprofessional and first impressions do count. Then to be repeatedly told off for lateness (admittedly some of our were) was rather ironic (that's my polit description). The course in parts was rushed and maybe this was geared by for a Friday lunchtime escape to an airport.”

“From this course I’ve learned how to improve my CV and make it look more professional, as well as write a cover letter that really shows my skills and experience. I’ve also seen how useful feedback is for improving. The group activities helped me feel more confident with communication, and the mock interview gave me good practice in how to answer questions, especially using the 'STAR' system.
