“On this course I have developed many new skills. It has been more than 14 years since I last had to search for a job, complete an application for a position and prepare for an interview. I have learnt different ways of searching for a job; how to build my own targeted C.V., compile a cover letter and fill out an application effectively and respond to interview questions using a specific criteria, STAR method.
I can now read a job description carefully, making links between the job requirements and the skills I already have. I can reflect upon, and give examples of how I have used these skills in previous roles. I have also practised using psychometric tests.
I have come away with a renewed confidence in searching for the right job for me. I also have a professional looking C.V. to help me when applying for positions.

“Useful course as a highlghter for Civil Service opportunities, covering process and application scenarios. A good mix of practical content with interactive sessions and on-line elements. The Employability portal is very useful for composing CV's & Cover letters and is available after the course as well which is great feature!
