Took out a first time policy, and was disappointed that I was unable to register my account as the website did not provide a way of getting a password, this was sorted after a phone call when I was sent a link to create a password. I then tried to download the application which did not work as the app software was not suitable for the latest version of Android. Another phone call this time there was no solution, they would need to talk with the software developers and get back to me in a few days time. I await with anticipation and hope.

Hi Paul, when you take a policy out with startrescue a welcome email is automatically sent which includes your temporary password, this needs to be entered first to allow you to change the password to one of your choosing. We are sorry for any inconvenience caused in relation to the app, our app was undergoing a refresh, however this is now available for customers to download again. I've bought the service, but before cover has even started I'm being asked to review it. Bizarre. How can I do that?

Have not had a breakdown yet so cannot comment on this was a loyal customer for a year with no call-out on renewal did not get any discount hence the 2 stars

far too expensive. Unfortunately, I'm on hols in a few days and have no choice Not happy, you have doubled my premium. Ridiculous.

Although we have renewed this year we were not happy with the service during a call out, we had put 4 new tyres on the car a couple of months before. We were in Southsea when we got a puncture, called recovery and when the driver came he simply drove the car off the hotel car park onto the low loaded and took us to the tyre shop here we had to purchase a new tyre due to the repair man driving on a flat tyre even though there was a puncture repair kit in the boot. This cost me £100 not good, and then you put up my renewal by £6 to £40, not happy.

I only used the service once and the problem was not resolved, accidentally fixed it myself after the technician had left. Not very impressed . Renewed automatically

Wasn’t aware of renewal price until the money had been taken , far to expensive compared to last year , ripped off . Wouldn’t have renewed if I new how expensive it was

I was taken to Start Rescue via a comparison site as they were the cheapest breakdown cover for our two cars, with the lowest excess fee. Whilst attempting to pay for the cover, the website crashed but the money was taken from my account. I emailed about this and received a call promptly to take more details and was told someone would get back to me. The following day someone did get back to me. They had reversed the payment and asked if I was happy. However, by this time my previous cover had lapsed and therefore our cars were not covered for over 24 hours. Luckily, no cover was needed during this time but I had paid for cover and not yet been refunded but remained uncovered. I was then offered to take out cover again and that I would be covered 24hours later. I feel due to the situation and the fact the the money had been taken from my account the 24hours should have been waived, however it was not. I also then had to pay more as they could not give me the same offer that I had opted for on the comparison site. That being said, communication was good and all of the call handlers were polite and seemed to really care about my situation even if they didn’t have the means to rectify as well as I would have hoped.

I had your state 5 or 6 identification questions.. too many.. more than a bank query... WHY SO MANY.. I wanted to make a quick acceptance of my renewal. this took far to long. as I was in a rush I renewed with you.. probably not next year

I purchased a policy and believe it or not, they made it very easy to purchase it. There is no way I'm going to give 5 star rating of Start Rescue just for purchasing a policy. Send me a link to review it, if I've ever needed to use you, not request a review for just for purchasing the policy (as to me that's a little misleading and a little bit cunning)

Difficult to review as my only contact has been to pay the annual fee. I have not had confirmation of this and no further word. Previously(two years ago) my contact details were clear and Start Rescue was very helpful when I needed them. Am hoping for the same support now that I have become a member again

I have not had a breakdown that required your services, so cannot comment on this. However, I was disappointed with the last quote you sent. Telling me that I am a 'loyal and valued customer' and then increasing the premium by 60% didn't add up for me! When I rang, I was told the quote could be reduced, giving me an increase of 36%, which I have accepted. But I don't feel like a valued customer! Perhaps with fuel costs as they currently are, you might consider investing in electric vehicles??
