After several days and many many attempts I have abandoned any hope of upgrading an old Vista computer to Windows 10. One of the links in the instructions could not find the microsoft page required. Consequently could not download a tool that apparently was essential to load your software.

Hi Rodney, We've had no communication from yourself whatsoever on this matter. All download links sent are direct from Microsoft, and of course they work. Why not contact us asking for the required help you need, rather than leaving a negative review? Kind Regards, Softwaregeeks

I have purchased a software, the email with the installation guide was sent however, the software was not able to be installed. Since, I've already obtained from a different source I no longer require it. I've contacted the scuatomer service and no refund was offered. Very dissatisfied with the company.

HI Eduardo, As per our exchanged emails, this was an error with your local machine, which you're aware of. The source of the software is Microsoft, there is no other source. We already advised that a refund cannot be offered for a non-faulty license key. This is clearly stated in our returns policy. Please try to leave fair reviews in the future. Hello Malcolm, The software is direct from Microsoft. You're also send full step-by-step instructions with each purchase. My link/download which was sent was corrupt. I had a few people try just to make sure but still no joy. Trying to get my money back from paypal (real headache I could do without). Sorry but its the truth Brett

Hi Brett, The download is not corrupt, it's corrupt locally on your side because of your internet connection, which we've discussed on email. If it was corrupt, it would be corrupt for thousands of people each day, which it certainly is not! The software/link is direct from Microsoft. Regards, Softwaregeeks

The code that you gave didn't work on my laptop so I had to pay out £100 to have software put on so the 14.99 that I pay out I want that refund into my bank please

Hello David, You purchased a Windows 7 Professional license and have Windows 7 ULTIMATE installed on your machine. A Professional license will not activate a copy of Ultimate. This is your error and the license you purchased is perfectly valid. No refund will be issued in this instance. Please leave truthful reviews in future. Kind Regards, Softwaregeeks

The software I purchased would not install and the support from Software Geeks was poor. The issue was not resolved and I did not get a refund. I ended up purchasing direct from Microsoft and the software installed first time.

Hi Robert, Why would you leave a negative review asking for help, instead of contacting us via the website, or sending an email in reply to your order? Where's the logic in that? I have been unable to download windows 10 and warned while my attempt was in progress that there was a problem with the setup. Frankly, I have felt completely at a loss and been led to the conclusion that my purchase has gone down the drain. Needless to add, a full refund would be welcome.

In my opinion the product I received was misleading (Read the small writing). The customer service was poor and thretend me with legal action.

what can i say, i`m NOT an expert on pc`s, i needed a new edition of windows 7, before purchase i looked on SOFTWAREGEEK`S website, read there description on purchasing this item, and thought after reading that it was a straight forward item to buy and install,what i DID NOT realsie is that you either need to burn a dvd or buy a memory stick (your convienently NOT told this on the website, APART FROM under terms and conditions) and WHO reads these...........as i said earlier, i`m NOT great on pc`s, so i contacted SOFTWAREGEEKS and asked them to explain to me in simple"layman`s terms" how to copy and install the software i had purchased, i used there "online chat service" and they just kept sending me the same pasted items, i might as well have been talking to a brick wall, ALSO they have NO LISTED PHONE NUMBER so forget trying to ring them and talk to a human................ so overall, NOT happy with this company and the only thing i would reccomend if your NOT computer savvy is to stay away from this company

Dear Jeremy Keele, We talked you through every step of what you must perform to install your purchase on your machine on the online chat. We did not/nor do we, 'paste' replies. You purchased a LICENSE from ourselves, we provide download links and instructions in addition, free of charge. Are we to blame that you assumed you could install an operating system without a USB stick or DVD? That's impossible. Should we have known you were expecting this before purchasing? No. It's not logical. We do not offer phone support, nor do we state we do before you purchase. You could have checked this prior to purchasing, if that's what you expected. We offer email and online chat support Mon-Fri 9am-6pm. Given that you have/purchase a blank DVD or a USB stick, the instructions and installation are VERY straightforward. Purchased windows 7 as I was still running vista, paid my money, downloaded the software all ok. However no software key was sent, chased this up and was told it would have been on an email that would have been sent - checked all folders no email received so chased again but no replies even received. No I wouldn't use again and No I would not recommend to anyone. Poor service is an understatement

Software Geeks refused to refund the purchase of Windows 7 because it claimed it sold only the licence key not the software nor the method of download and installation. The links in the download and instruction sheet did not work or reach the correct versions of the software nor did the Windows 7 Service Pack install correctly. Very quick to emails however failed to take any ownership of the product that was sold - it was advertised as a legal Windows 7 SP1 download - I would not recommend this company to anyone. There is a far more reputable supplier on eBay who will send you a download disc and licence key and very thorough and robust instruction guide.

Hi Lindsay, Everyone is sent the same download links and instructions, they're actually both from Microsoft. They do work. You were given links to every version of Windows 7 we sell. It's up to you to download the correct one in accordance to what version you purchased. We don't understand what you mean by the service pack, since it's already combined in the ISO file; it doesn't install separately. It is a legal Windows 7 download. We fail to see what you mean by this comment. You would not be buying a genuine disc and license for this price on eBay, and the "reputable suppliers" you speak of are not even companies/nor disclose their full names. You will also be aware that the claim you raised on Paypal was decided in our favour since all evidence was provided that the product purchased was completely valid. Regards, Mark Softwaregeeks.

I could not use the windows installation key as the steps provided by the company where incorrect. Therefore I've asked for a refund and that was declined

Windows 10 that i bought for £25.00 was a disaster! Full of malware and the slowest boot up time that I ever witnessed, and to top it alit of software and plug in hardware that I use didn't work with Windows 10! Had to roll back to Windows 7, I might as well have chucked my £25 straight in the bin! Very, very unhappy.

Hi Thomas, The Windows 10 download links are direct from Microsoft. It's an impossibility that they contain malware. If you machine became infected with malware, this would be a result of having no anti virus installed, and/or visiting questionable websites. Windows start-up times depend on your hardware. Most plug-and-play devices which work in Windows 7 will work in Windows 10. You should check with the device manufacturer if they're compatible with Windows 10.
