“My purchase required some technical expertise. Installing Windows 7 from online link. I was told off by chat line operator who said the chat had been 2 hours. It hadn't. I'd gone out shopping for a new USB stick in that time. (I didn't realise the first one wasn't clean). I don't think it much to support the person who's installing even if they have to leave the installation to do other things and come back later. So I think I needed more support than was offered. I still haven't been able to do the install. It didn't work for me. It says to contact them but I've no access to a phone at the moment. And the telling off has put me off contacting them again.”

“Good price. Reviews were great but I failed to activate no matter what I did. It was not the product or Software Geeks faulty, it was my lack of computer knowledge. I tried for several hours on three evenings but could not do it. So will stay with my windows 7 instead of upgrading to 10.”

Hi David, This isn't true. You're referring to the dummy key sent, which we clearly state in the instructions is only to be used upon upgrading from Win 10 Home to Pro. You cannot activate using this key. You would have received a seperate key to activate Pro once installed. Softwaregeeks

“I'd understand all those people looking at this website and being sceptical of the prices of the software but honestly it's legit! Paid £22 for my copy of Windows 10 Pro and within seconds I received an email with the key needed to verify my software and it worked first time. After saving £80+ for my first computer rig, I'd definitely recommended these guys to anyone. Great buy!”

“After spending hours loading and reloading Windows 10 on several HDDs with it refusing to boot for one reason or another I decided to go back to Windows 8 when my last Windows 10 working disk packed in on booting. Unfortunately, not having 8.1, I tried to upgrade from 8 which had worked before but not, for some reason, a few days ago. After updating about 180 items as advised which took about two days it then reverted them taking another long period to get back to the beginning. As you can imagine I had had enough by then as I couldn't use the computer. By a stroke of luck I found Software Geeks and ordered 8.1 and 10. I loaded 8.1 without any problem and it managed to update 220 times without reverting any of them, amazing! I have not yet tried Windows 10 but I do not expect any trouble with it. These free upgrades to 10, I think, are full of bugs that need sorting out. I sent a return e-mail saying "thanks" as I was very pleased with the lack of hassle.”
