Order through them if u want to loose your money and have the worst experience ever to claim it back.
On 12th June, 2024, I placed an order with Smart Cellular for an Apple iPhone 12 (128 GB) Unlocked Black in Pristine Condition, costing alot.
Although I selected Guaranteed Premium Next Day Delivery, my order arrived on 15th June, 2024, three days after the purchase date.
Upon inspecting the item, I discovered that the charging was extremely slow, there was a scratch on the front screen, despite being advertised as Pristine, and the phone tended to get warm. I promptly contacted Smart Cellular multiple times via Live Chat, phone, and email. Following Frankie's advice, I emailed on 17th June, 2024. Frankie responded, instructing me to return the handset for an exchange or refund and to retain the postage receipt to claim a reimbursement of £8.50 for postage fees. I opted for a replacement of the same item.
On the same day, 17th June, 2024, I posted the handset and requested a refund of the postage fee via email. I provided my bank details for the refund and attached the proof of postage receipt. The handset arrived at the facility the next day.
Frankie informed me via email on 18th June, 2024, that the postage fee would be refunded within five working days. On 20th June, 2024, I followed up via email regarding the replacement of the handset. The Returns Team responded, confirming that my request had been forwarded to the dispatch team.
Despite not receiving the postage fee by 21st June, 2024, I contacted Frankie, who escalated the issue to the Accounts Department and Senior Managers for prompt processing. I also reached out to Steven/Amy, who assured me that my request had been escalated to the relevant team for an update, but no update was provided.
On 22nd June, 2024, I contacted Steven/Amy through Live Chat, and they mentioned that my request had been escalated for an update, promising to provide an update by the following Monday.
On 24th June, 2024, I reached out to Smart Cellular and was advised to wait an additional 10 days. Despite having paid for the item, I have not been receiving adequate updates and have been repeatedly asked to wait longer.
On 25th June 2024, During a phone call with Smart Cellular, the representative I spoke with was speaking in an aggressive and rude manner, rushing the conversation and insisting that I wait another 10 days, with little regard for my concerns. It has been almost two weeks since my initial purchase, and I had considered taking legal action to secure a refund due to their delayed processing.
After filing a claim through PayPal and filing through Resolver I received a phone call from the same rude representative which I believe was Frankie. The representative questioned as to why I kept sending emails, and if I didn't understand about the 10 day period. I explained that it was not me who was sending the emails but the third parties I filed the complaint with. Few minutes later, I received the funds immediately through PayPal. It is only that I filed a claim through PayPal that I am receiving my funds and not waiting the additional 10 days.
On 26th June 2024, I contacted again through Live Chat to get a status update on my postage fee refund that was promised to be receiving on this day. I was connected to Claire, where I was told to wait 10 days for it to be processed. I did not tolerate this, and tried calling Smart Cellular Customer Services, no one picks up. Right at that moment, I got an email from the Returns Team that my refund has been processed.
Tim Roland sent me an email twice that I could claim a pair of free earpods once I leave a review. Hoping to receive this 👍
It is important to note that some reviews may be misleading, possibly posted to obtain free earbuds. I strongly advise against placing any orders with Smart Cellular, as my experience suggests they may engage in fraudulent practices and mishandle customer transactions.
