I bought an iPhone from this Smart Cellular on 3rd Feb 2026. It didn't work (wouldn't connect to internet) and so I returned it for a refund, but due to lack of internet connection couldn't prepare it properly for return, eg it was still passcode locked. They requested the code which I emailed to them twice. And they confirmed receipt of it twice. They sent no other communication, saying there was any problem but they kept asking for the code. We kept saying they had it. Then they returned the phone to me. I can see that many people are happy with this company but it seems to me that if there is a problem they don't sort it out. I have tried phoning them but the "Sales and Customer Services" telephone number given says "you are in a queue" and then "no one is available to answer your call, please leave a message". Avoid this company.

Great service from Smart Cellular. I contacted them via email after ordering to change the storage option and they called me to confirm everything quickly. The phone was dispatched the same day and arrived the next morning in perfect condition. Fast, efficient and excellent communication — highly recommended. I would definitely use them again.

Sent in iPad that I was offered £109 for on receiving offer reduced to £9. This I declined and requested my iPad returned, even with follow up email this has not yet been resolved and no response to my email. Absolutely disgusting service.

I would strongly advise caution when dealing with Smart Cellular. Should be 0-Stars! I was offered £505 for my phone, sent the device promptly, and then received a revised offer of £250, later increased to £350 after I challenged it. The justification given was that the phone was “likely bought under contract” and that they needed to purchase “additional insurance”, both of which are irrelevant to the value of a fully owned device. The phone was purchased via Apple finance and has been fully settled. Even more concerning, I was told I would need to pay for insured return postage to get my own device back if I declined their reduced offer. This feels like a clear bait-and-switch tactic: • High initial quote to secure the device • Significant price reduction after receipt • Added friction and cost to recover your own property I am currently disputing this and will be escalating further if required. Proceed with extreme caution!!!!

I was very sceptical to buy a used mobile phone from Smart Cellular, a company I hadn’t heard much about, however I purchased this iPhone XR for a great price, the condition was excellent as I had asked for and it arrived on time with a 24 month guarantee. The phone and battery life are working extremely well and I’m delighted with my purchase. I feel I really did get a great deal!

Once payment was passed to their payments department they paid fairly quickly, however the whole process was slow and very disconnected. Was quoted one price, they received my phone and massively reduced the quote, then over the course of a few weeks going back and forth they finally agreed to pay the going rate for my phone, I had originally requested it be sent back as I was happy with the requote, then another requote and finally a sensible price, took them around a month from initially receiving my phone to payment. If you do decide to deal with this company make sure you take pictures and videos of your phones condition and take your own functionality tests (record this too). Personally I wouldn't use them again. Originally posted out on the 5th of March and finally got payment on the 7th of April

I recently attempted to sell my phone through this company and the entire experience was awful. Their online valuation offered me a sum that was noticeably higher than other companies, so I completed the sale and posted my device. It arrived with them the next day and I then received an email offering me a dramatically lower amount. They confirmed that my phone was in perfect condition and exactly as described during the online valuation. Despite this they gave weak excuses such as prices going down or their insurance costs being high. None of these explanations justify such a large drop in value in the space of one day. To check their claim I went back onto their website and ran the valuation again. It still offered me the same original amount, which makes it clear that the advertised price is used simply to draw customers in with no intention of honouring it. I refused the reduced offer immediately and asked for my phone to be returned. They then began a series of delaying tactics including offering tiny increases in small steps and repeatedly asking for the same information such as my delivery address. At this point I was genuinely worried that I would never see my device again. After around a week of back and forth they finally agreed to return it but only after I paid an additional fee for postage. Overall this was a horrible experience. The business model appears to rely on people giving up and accepting a much lower price because it is too much trouble to challenge the process. In my view this behaviour is completely unacceptable and should not be allowed to continue. I strongly advise others to avoid this company and spare themselves the stress and frustration that I went through.

What an truely awful, unreliable company. I ordered an iPhone 13 Pro, 13 days ago and delivery should have been 2 days later (payment was taken when phone was ordered!). Initially, 4 days after the due delivery date, they emailed to say they didn’t have the colour I ordered, only a Granite. I messaged back to say any colour but Granite would be ok (I sent a screenshot of a blue phone from their website, which was showing as available). I also spoke to someone on the phone and they said they would call me back within the hour. Since then, NO response to any phone calls/ emails. I’ve left messages to call me/ email to discuss options, but nothing back from them at all. I have no idea when I’ll receive my phone or a refund.

Order was placed on 27th March and marked as dispatched shortly after, but as of the 31st it still hasn’t arrived. I contacted customer service and was told delays were due to a high volume of sales, which honestly doesn’t feel like a convincing explanation. Overall, the experience has been disappointing — unclear dispatch updates and slow delivery with little accountability. Based on this, I would advise others to be cautious before ordering.

Avoid this company at all costs. This has been one of the most frustrating and poorly handled purchasing experiences I’ve had. - After the advertised delivery date had passed and I hadn't received my handset, I got in touch with the company. -They later contacted me to let me know that they didn't have it in stock and offered me a lesser model with a partial refund to match that handset's advertised price. - I had made it explicitly clear, on two occasions, that I did not want this lesser substitute they had offered and requested either the original item ordered or a refund. Yes two occasions because their response to my request was to give me the same offer again. - Despite this the handset that the company had repeatedliy attempted to push the same unwanted handset onto me again. Ignoring my clear requests it was ultimately sent it out anyway, completely disregarding my instructions and further prolonging the process. I returned the item as instructed. Royal Mail tracking confirms it has been delivered to them, yet a week later, they have not even acknowledged receipt—let alone processed a refund. Communication has been consistently poor. Responses are generic, scripted, and avoid addressing the actual issues. Requests to speak with management have been ignored entirely. As well as my initial requests for a refund, should they not be able to fulfill my order. The phone number has no answer, and it's probably best your conversations are clear in text available to both parties anyway. I am now in a position where they have both my money and the returned handset, and are simply not engaging. To make matters worse, the same item that i origionally ordered has still been advertised on their website throughout this process. Which I have pointed out on multiple occasions, however there it remains able to trap others. This is not just bad service—it shows a complete lack of accountability once they have your money. I would strongly recommend purchasing elsewhere unless you are prepared to be faced with completely unnecessary stress, chase, repeat yourself, and potentially fight to get your money back.... for no benefit whatsoever.

I ordered a refurbed iPhone 15 described as immaculate. Always a bit nervous buying used, but it turned up on time, simply packaged and was IMMACULATE. Very pleased with the speedy service and a phone that looks and works like new.
