approved claim then no booking for tumble dryer. enginer After 7 phone cakes and promise to call back. still no booking 7 days. avoid this comonay

Smart cover are the cheapest Home emergency cover however they have a long list of small print which you will never read nor did I. What is a home emergency? Losing entire power in Winter is an emergency I am sure you would agree however Smart cover refused to come out as they had no engineer for 2 days? My Shower bar was leaking they replaced it with a very cheap replacement 8 months later the bar is faulty but now its not a emergency therefore will not come out I always though you get 12 months warranty with any new part not with Smartcover and their small print. Be aware please they will look for all get out clauses to visit and repair. Pay a bit extra and use Homeserve or British Gas I have used both and I had no issues. Lesson learnt with Smart cover never will go back a waste of money I ended up paying for my repairs myself plus paid premium to Smart cover

Very fast appointment and the plumbing issue was resolved in one visit, I like the call service appointment confirmation system.

I have had Smart Cover for 2 years now. They have fixed and replaced things without any strings attached. The people there are responsive and courteous

Very poor service, not willing to help in any way, I wouldn't use this company. All they want is your money and don't help with a solution. Said to read policy in my email but not even recieved the documents. Convince u it be a good idea to go with them and your covered and then not telling u all the extra hidden fees. 75 pound a year but then 250 excess on top. More than the tumble dryers worth. It's all designed and set up for u to fail. Don't care about the customer just want your money. Shocking company and jist cos its there policy doesn't make it legitimate. Its a form of malpractice and there a conclumerate company coning u out of your money. Do not use this company

Got insurance for my fridge freezer made a claim as it wasn’t working properly engineer cane out told us it is not fixable, smart cover contacted me said i need to pay £168 to get a new fridge freezer which i dont have, what the point in getting insurance when i now am left with a fridge freezer not working properly

I had a claim with smart cover in August 2022 the engineer that came couldn't find the fault,said that he had touch some wiring and it “seems” to be working ok, the following morning no hot water and the boiler stops working again and has to be reset. I called smart cover only for them to say it is classed as a intermittent fault and that the underwriters will not cover that, and suggest that I call glow worm and get them out to repair it, at my own cost of £299 fixed repair price which I could not afford. After a over month of the boiler having to be reset every morning it has finally stopped completely, I called Smart cover this morning to be told that because I didn't contact glow worm in August they will not cover the claim ABSOLUTLEY DISGUSTING BUISNESS ETHICS!!!!!. So now I will be cancelling mine and my mothers policy both due in December. DO YOURSELF A FAVOUR AND FIND ANOTHER COMPANY!!! ZERO STARS IF I COULD

Very pleased with my communications with firstly, Aaron who was very helpful, and then Steve who was able to confirm I was covered and arranged for plumbing engineers to call out to me. Steve then found a new drainage company for me when the first couldn't attend for 3 days. Very impressed with your customer service, thank you.

Don’t waste your money on this insurance my toilet was leaking they told me it was due to maintenance and refused to fix it

What an absolute RIP off don't waste your money. Got leak under sink rang for to be informed they'll just turn off and then I'll have to pay for a plumber to fix. Isn't the whole idea of insurance for them to fix .. definately never renew with these...

have used Smart Cover for a number of years and really would highly recommend this company. Over the last few days I have had the pleasure of dealing with an extremely friendly and efficient chap by the name of Shane who has dealt with my dishwasher problem admirably. Initially they had an issue locating a part for the faulty dishwasher but then Shane came to the rescue and sorted the whole thing out by replacing the original dishwasher with a new one (like for like). True to their word Smart Cover honoured their insurance promise. Very impressive indeed. Many thanks.

Very pleased with the service, and the engineer was pleasant and easy to talk to. Althought had to recall the engineer back after the first fix to the appliance as, although machine was now washing, after the cycle finished and shown END and lock light went out, an E01 message was on. Engineer came out again no problem now completely working well. Just one downfall, the time I was without my machine working.

We moved from one insurer to Smart Cover a few years ago ( having never made a claim ) because we felt the cover was better and slightly cheaper. About 3 months ago,on fast spin, our washing machine started to make a noise like a jet aircraft taking off and getting worse each week. We decided to call Smart Cover for advice and spoke with a very professional lady called Denise. She organised,within a couple of days, a local investigation and the fitter ( who was also excellent ) confirmed the problem was serious and changed the parts there and then ! From the start is was speed and efficiency which really surprised us - well done Denise and the team

Terrible fraud company, not so smart after all, Smart Cover Insurance. I wanted to get my boiler fixed as had no hot water or heating, so called Smart Cover. They denied I had boiler policy cover (I had both on my email and I hard copy certificate including it). I called them back to deal with my claim which they tried hard to deny but they need evidence of my last service. So I tried to call my previous insurance company, due to covid they had staff shortage nut they finally managed to get the doc for me. FINALLY I get an engineer who used the manual, called several friends and told me 3 different parts were needed before settling on one. An expensive one. After chasing for whole day I finally get a call back to confirm next steps. £560 for a gas valve, I’ll have to pay for the costs after £280. The firm then say if the boiler still has problems that I’ll be liable for any extra call out charges and parts... Speak to a gas engineer friend who confirms this cost is too much for what’s being offered. I think they’re trying to rip me off for being a single female and decide to try another option...

Do not go near this company. Boiler broke down. Twelve days later still not repaired. Mother is 98. They do not care. J he Neil.

called yesterday day for boler repair this morning had a message saying an engineer would call in 3 days to repair somone was out in 20 mins after calling for call back now i have been told 3 days for part to be ordered keep you posted on this will be calling back tuesday morning
