Slims branded packaging? No where in sight. The packaged arrived poorly packaged and tears and holes everywhere. All the bottles were scratched. By spending £30 you'd expect goods to be boxed... No... Dumped in a crappy bag...first order, was not best pleased.

Hi Shane, apologies for the delayed response. I've looked into your order and can see that we haven't met our high standards here. We have since put in an order for smaller boxes which will protect orders of one or two bottles from the wrath of the courier. I received my Slims detailing creeper/stool and pot of Valet Pro Back to the Future in good timing. Actually got passed the items at the door and wondered 'What an earth are these' The only reason i haven't given full marks is because before i ordered i had actually emailed them through the website with regards to the discount code not working for first time buyers. I was at the time only ordering the creeper and not even the bank holiday discount code worked. I can only assume, as with the Bank Holiday code it wont allow you to use it when ordering accessories and tools. As it discounted the Valet Pro stuff. However it would have been nice to have had a reply even it was to say 'No'. But after waiting a few days i gave up waiting as it was actually a birthday present for me from She Who Must Be Obeyed. Ha ha. I did notice on Detailing World they had replied to someones comment about discount codes not working. However i read that after placing the order. Oh well.

Hi Joe, thanks for your recent purchase from Slim's and subsequent review. Firstly we can only apologise you didn't receive a personal reply, it's my fault as I thought you and the customer show commented on Detailing World were the same person (mistaken identity, it would seem). Therefore I thought I had replied with the correct information. Our promotional e-mails, social media adverts & the basket page on the website all state, that equipment/machine polishers are excluded from discount codes & other promotions. We source our own equipment at a very competitive rate which we cannot discount any further as they are already heavily discounted to meet demand. Again, I can only apologise this wasn't clearer as you made your purchase. We are obviously disappointed you have given us a slightly negative review as despite the above you were still happy to place an order for the products at the normal retail price. We pride ourselves on our great service and as a new company take any comments like yours very seriously. In light of my comments above (and my case of mistaken identity - sorry again!) - I would ask if you would reconsider your review rating for the service provided. Hi Trivini, I've looked into your case. Your initial parcel was delivered ok with a note on the invoice letting you know the remaining items were to follow. Checking with the courier they will be with you today. Apologies the items were not sent together, with high demand for some of the products we sell - unfortunately some items can be delayed. To confirm again, your items were not forgotten, they will be with you later today, one working day after your first parcel which included the note that this was the case.
