My relationship with this London gem is longer than the average skateboarding trick name, and Slam City has never failed to amaze. First off, the customer service here is legendary. They're like the Yoda of the skateboarding world – wise, friendly, and totally in tune with the needs of skaters of all ages and skill levels. Whether you're a young Padawan just starting out or an old Jedi of the streets, these folks give everyone the royal treatment, offering sage advice on everything from kickflips to culture. Their selection of hardware and clothing is so good, it might as well be enshrined in the British Museum. I've lost count of the number of decks, trucks, and tees I've picked up over the years. More recently, I've been snagging some of their stylish clothing, which, let's be honest, has improved my street cred (and my wardrobe) significantly. Their raffle system for limited-edition items is fairer than a game of Monopoly with a 5-year-old, giving everyone a fair shot at snagging those coveted pieces. But wait, there's more! A big shoutout to the Slam City team for sending out a PDF of the Verdi character for my daughter. It's not every day you get to see a kid more excited about coloring than screen time! Thank you, Slam City Skates, for keeping the stoke alive and the wheels turning.
