“Naomi was very knowledgeable and helpful throughout the process - I wasn't sure what would fit and what would not, so Naomi's help and understanding of my situation was fantastic. The blind was for a shape & size of window that I hadn't come across anywhere (it's a loft conversion from 1966!) so none of the standard sizes would fit. The blind was easy to put up, fits perfectly, works well (I went for the Blackout option and is really does shut out all the light when closed, just what I wanted) and it looks great. I would recommend this company 100%.”

“I bought 2 small manual SkyFit and 1 large electric LanternLITE blinds for our extension. I didn't find anyone else offering DIY fitting or serving our area, but the price seemed good. The SkyFit is a small, inexpensive but well made, blind suitable for lanterns, skylights and windows. It is as easy to fit as anything that size on the ceiling can be. I would have liked more substantial fixings, but it seems secure. The operating pole is a bit tricky to use and needs a strong pull, but works well with a bit of practice. They didn't fit at first because I wrote down the wrong dimensions, but they were helpful and fixed them for a very reasonable price. The LanternLITE is a well made blind which keeps the light out and the heat in well. It is more difficult to fit; a competent DIYer will have no problem, but I think a beginner will struggle. It needs 2 people (strong people for a large blind) and 2 stepladders to fit. It comes with a good set of instructions, but I have a few tips: 1. You have to unroll a bit of the fabric to fit it into the side rails; you should then roll it back when fitting the roller into the headbox, otherwise you will need to reset the motor limits. 2. The motor has a thermal cut-out, so it stops for 10 minutes after a few operations. This isn't a problem, but was a nuisance when testing it. 3. The blind stuck at first when closing. This is easy to fix and there is a video about this in the troubleshooting guide, but the mountings have been re-designed since the video was made. Now, you don't have to take the plastic strip out, just slip some packing pieces behind the side rail. Overall, I am very happy with the blinds, the price and the service.”

“Great product as a first timer with this product there is a need for a more detailed components list as some bits was not connected to blind and I was lost in the fitting instructions to where they go but plenty of help over the phone and emailed videos they sent over.”

“We purchased our lantern blinds a couple of months ago. After the intense heat of this summer we wanted to be prepared for the future. We were sceptical that they would be such an excellent barrier against the cold spell we are having right now. But the difference is amazing and the blinds definitely keep that end of the room much warmer. Add to that the customer service we received from Skylight and we are very happy with our blinds.”

“Installation of the blind was a pain. The connections for the frame and the side rail blind driving pins were not very tight and kept coming out. The frame appears to be mainly held together by the tension of the driving cord. When moving the frame it is easy for it to separate enough for one of the motor shafts to disengage. When first assembled the blind only moved about 30cm. Fixing this may have been covered in the "Motor Setting Manual" but this is difficult to make sense of. In the end I drove the motor until it stopped before installing the drive shafts and this worked. On a positive note the people that I dealt with in the UK were very professional. It was not however made clear until after order that the main blinds are in fact manufactured in Dubai! The installed blind looks good and I hope that it lasts”

Thanks Iain sorry this installation wasn't straight forward and I am glad the blind is working fine now. Our Honeycomb Openview blind is made in Dubai but all customer services is in the UK.
