“The new lids are not as good as the old lids as they make the drink difficult to drink from. I appreciate that they now close and hold the drink inside preventing spillage, but if drinking is difficult from them, there’s something not right with the design.”

“Disappointed. Put the bottle on my gym bag and halfway in my walk my bag was Wet. Don't turn your bottle upside down as it leaks. V disappointed and wont be using for the gym again. Updated = sent a new lid quickly and efficiently.”

“Overall a nice company with aesthetically pleasing products. Fast dispatch and receipt. One product was great and one was not what I'd wanted, but I'd potentially shop for other items again.”

“Coffee mug is well insulated. Feels comfy in the hand and the drinking opening is easy to use. Unfortunately it must be carried upright, or it leaks through the lid seal and through the air hole in the middle of the lid.”

“I like the look of the flask and the fact it comes complete with spoon. However, I have only used it twice. I was a little concerned when it arrived given the numerous "warnings" on the small label, coupled with a QR code for you to scan to see the full set of warnings!! This seemed to me to be a lot of caveats on why the product may not perform as you would expect. Whilst the website details do say it works best at keeping food warm when the flask is full I didn't think it would be so poor when it was 3/4 full. I had used it for a fairly thick soup and had heated the soup well to give it the best chance. However, after arriving at work, when I took the flask out of my bag I noticed the lid itself was warm to the touch. Surely if it was properly sealed the lid should not be warm? Anyway, I didn't think much more of it but when I came to eat the soup at lunchtime it was barely warm at all, vey disappointing. Something else I hadn't considered and which is purely a personal detail is that eating from a metal flask with a metal spoon was pretty noisy, something I found quite off putting. Unfortunatley, currently it has been assigned to the cupboard but I will try to use it again at some point and hope I feel better about it next time around.”

“I have quite a few bottles. I have recently bought two of the Calix coffee cups with slider lid, I was hoping that it was leak proof as stated. Unfortunately the coffee or tea comes out the small hole on the slider part. You have to wait for the coffee to cool a while or it forces up the lid. So I am disappointed, as all of my other bottles are good.”

Hi there, Thanks for your feedback. I can see that you've been in touch with our support team about this? Unfortunately, as explained, the Calix lid cannot be used with drinks hotter than 60 degrees Celsius as the pressure from the steam at these temperatures will cause push on the lid and cause it to lift like this. “Love Sho products, been using them for years and bought quite a few of their bottles and flasks. Sadly one flask does not keep ice cool compared to the others. I wasn’t able to send back without something I threw away”

Hi Liz, This doesn’t sound quite right. As long as the Food Flask is being preheated, completely filled to the top and the food is put in as hot as possible, it should be keeping your food hot for up to 10 hours. “Burnt myself on the lid . The cup certainly kept the drink warm but the lid didn’t cool down to drinkable for more than half an hour (I made the drink in a separate cup and transferred it).”

Hi Sarah, Thanks for your review! Due to the nature of an insulated product, we recommend that you do not use freshly boiled water if you want to drink from your Calix straight away as the drink will not cool down to a perfect drinking temperature for a very long time. To be able to drink your drink straight away, we recommend either letting the boiling water cool before making your drink or leaving the lid off to allow it to cool to a more comfortable temperature before drinking it. A good way of looking at this is if the lid is too hot to drink from then the liquid inside the Calix will be too hot to drink from too. “The bottles are lovely but it’s annoying the straw lid costs so much more and it isn’t clear when you choose them that it isn’t included. I won’t be ordering again as a result.”

“Love the look and feel of the cup but I'm afraid the lid is a massive let down! I bought one originally from amazon and @ £19 and it arrived with an unsealed lid that would be no use to travel with. So I then went on to the SHO website and bought 2 lids and another cup, again I was disappointed because when you drink from the lid the coffee trickles out as the air hole is not big enough. I would love someone to contact me about this as I would like to buy a cup and enjoy using it.”
