Setting-up a Savings Bond on-line was quick and easy as was the transfer of funds. A very slight hiccup to this process was experienced as regards the precise details of one of the forms identity required before an account could be opened, but this was quickly resolved by staff via E-Mail. Otherwise, all plain sailing. There is just one niggling minor point regarding E-mail letter correspondence . . . the mail-merge programme used picks up both my Christain name and middle name in the composition of the opening greeting i.e. Dear + . The usual convention in the UK being to use only the person's Christain name or the surname or both together . . never the middle name. I have seen this issue occurring with other on-line service providers and believe it arises from the use of "Off-the-shelf" software which makes no provision for recording middle names in a separate data field in the customer database. I have already advised Shepherds of this issue.

I have been let down big time when I was falling sick and the manager have discriminated me , I have not been paid as per agreement that I have signed for Please guys be aware to spend your money and never get help when needed, I’m still going to take it further and if not sort it will take it to court Definitely not recommending it to anyone who wants to have peace of mind simply because it’s very stressful

Opening a Fixed-Rate Bond account was very straightforward. When I needed help with a couple of points a phone call, which was quickly answered, soon put my mind at rest. The staff are friendly and very helpful. I highly reccomend Shepherds Friendly.
