“Very pleasant when they came to view property but a few factual inaccuracies which they refuse to take on board and evaluation had no relation to four estate agents who came to visit They based it on the selling price of two local houses, one of which was empty for years and the other needed refurbished and had a water problem in the garden. Not a fair comparison.”

“I was very impressed with the surveyor - Neil Thomson - who visited my home to inspect the property for the purpose of producing a Home Report. Mr Thomson arrived promptly and presented as courteous and friendly. He proved to be very efficient and professional. He emailed the Home Survey for my information timeously, and when I mentioned in reply that one item surprised me, he pointed out that he can only report what he sees (which I knew) but that he would slightly amend the wording in a way that did not change the outcome. I did not expect that, but I was touched by such kindness. I cannot praise Mr Thomson and this Company highly enough.”

“We bought a house we got little information about, since probate had been granted to the previous owner's sister. For that reason, we decided to go for a building survey, and found the availability and report to be comprehensive and well-detailed. We called for extra information, and were happy with the answers provided. Would definitely recommend!”

“Unable to follow basic guidelines put in place by the RICS and requested an EWS1 form for a building that clearly does not require it (6 storey brick building, less than 25% coverage of timber cladding on the upper floor, etc). Just a scam to keep their buddies in business, forcing people to get unnecessary expensive certificates. Step 1: Yes --> proceed to step 2 Step 2: No (6 storeys) --> proceed to step 3 Step 3: No --> proceed to step 4 Step 4: Yes --> Proceed to step 5 Step 5: Less than 25%, does not span/link multiple floors --> proceed to step 7 Step 7: Yes, Balconies --> proceed to step 8 Step 8: Vertically stacked --> proceed to step 9 Step 9: Balustrades and decking not constructed with combustible material, balconies not linked EWS1 Should not be requested”

“We recently decided to sell a house that had been vacated by a long term tenant, leaving the house in poor condition, with some issues. Shepherds were asked by our estate agents to advise us on essential repairs before putting the house on the market. They responded immediately and were extremely helpful, giving good advice. They subsequently completed the home report in an exemplary fashion. We are very appreciative of their help in arranging a successful sale of the property.”
