Agree with all previous reviews that they are overpriced, but hey you know the price before purchase and thought we were getting "bespoke" What was unexpected was the quality of the fitting. 3 day job took 5 days so no excuse for not enough time to get it right. We ended up with shelves that are half blocked and useless, panels that don't line up and joints stuffed with filler. Doors that don't close and damage to walls and ceilings. And the response from Sharps? yes it's bad, no we're not going to refund or compensate we'll rip it out and start again! Appalling quality and customer service, find a joiner and buy the materials. DON'T be fooled that it's designed and precision made in a factory, all that was delivered was sheets of laminated chipboard and standard size doors which the fitter had to use to build it from scratch. You've been warned!

Ridiculous price. Apparently we got 50% off and we were still shocked by the price, there is no way in hell it costs £6k for a 3 door wardrobe!!! We stupidly agreed to do it after our extremely pushy sales rep made us feel very uneasy and extremely pressured in giving him a deposit right there and then. Reminding us how far he’d come just for us, that it was Friday and he’d rather be at home but he’s here for us so let’s make him happy and go ahead etc. As soon as he left we thought what have we just done?! Now a week later we are still trying to talk to an actual human being about cancelling our order! They took the money quick enough but looks like it’s going to be a while before we get it back.! We have since gone to a local joiner who is going to do the job for us for £1.6k instead. Would not recommend sharps to anyone

Ridiculously high price even in the half price sale. Designer had no interest what so ever in helping me get what I wanted. There are much better and cheaper companies, please don't waste your time and money on these clowns

Not a great product for the price paid. The design to best utilize the space was very poor initially and had to have a fitter back to make "modifications" on what the designer had initially suggested. The first fitter also managed to damage the ceiling while fitting the door. Didnt even have the decency to own up to it which I probavly would of said not a prolem and repaired myself Size of exterior frame is way to big compared to other competitor wardrobes I've seen...total waste of space. Hinges are very poor quality, very small, constantly squeak even after lubricating, non adjustable, and dont allow the doors to fully close. Also the "wood" is just laminated chipboard. Not a bit of hardwood insight. Weve since had another room fitted by a rival local company. The rival was cheaper, produced a far superior design and end product for the same sized space. Wont be going back to sharps ever again.

Abysmal Service. I booked a representative to visit our property for a design consultation. While this appointment did occur, the service thereafter can best be described as utterly abysmal.  Five weeks have since passed, with little to no explanation and, more importantly, no quote for the desired product and service. I received one email from the regional sales office three weeks ago stating they would look into the matter and reach out to the appropriate store: however, despite again reaching out numerous times, there has been no further response. I would recommend all to steer clear and engage one of their competitors. I have done this for my other properties and they are well equipt to actually provide a service, managing your expectations from the outset. Sharps, take this as constructive feedback; you need to do better. If you are unable to follow through with the basic element of your service, do not attend properties during a pandemic; the last thing that people need is a stranger pandering around your property for no reason.

My ultimate was to have Sharps bedroom fitted wardrobes. Had them fitted December 2019. Product good but they use self employed fitters. Unfortunately the fitter made a very poor job. Sharps took several weeks to sort. Kept getting fobbed off by customer services. Eventually got to speak to customer services manager who sent a really helpful and good fitter to put right. However, I’ve still never had a receipt for my final payment, nor the guarantee as promised. Would never want to deal with customer services again hence why I’ve never bothered to chase. Feel very let down by service and the whole experience. Just goes to show spending a large amount of money isn’t always the best option. Sad to say would never use Sharps again.

Very happy with fitted bedroom furniture in 2 bedrooms, however I wanted 2 more chest of drawers, I explained this to the lovely lady in the show room and arranged a visit however when the man turned up he told me he couldn’t help as I have to spend a maximum of 1, 500 plus they don’t stock my one anymore it’s not that old about 9 years, so I will now have to get drawers that don’t match. He said they might still have it in warehouse to go back to shop... well I don’t know when that will be so I was told 2 different things, very disappointed and one unhappy customer and not a very helpful man

CAVEAT EMPTOR (BUYER BEWARE) A terrible arrogant, and untrustworthy company one could ever wish to have dealings with. We were taken in by their mr Kevin Bradley sharps senior design consultant who visited our property as a salesman to quote for units and shelving to two rooms in our property. He was completely polite and courteous on his visit assuring us that the product was bespoke made and of good quality i.e as our kitchen that he spent time in during his visit i.e hardwood. We therefore proceeded with the order which was agreed at £12,000.00 which according to the salesman and in his words was fantastic value as believe it or not there is a promotion on at the moment ending soon of 50% thus meaning the real price was £24,000.00 what a bargain.??? So taken in by this catalogue of fairy tales and lies we placed the order paying a £6,000.00 deposit as per the terms of the contract on the day. Prior to mr Bradley leaving we reiterated once again the quality issue ,including showing him the hardwood top on the dresser in the kitchen and showing him the master bedroom hardwood tops which he verbally assured us would be the same no problem. On the visit of sharps surveyor 27 days later the first warning/ bombshell was given by this person that sharps do not fit hardwood tops however after contacting Bramley we were informed and decided to go with the tops being painted white with a £500 reduction. The next payment being due prior to delivery was made 7 days prior to arrival £ 4350.00The product was delivered to our property on the 3rd December the delivery crew were courteous, polite and respectful in every manner. The fitter arrived on time on the 7th December to commence fitting again he was polite and extremely and professional and very tidy. After fitting of the base units it was clearly obvious this was not what we had ordered or paid for as the whole product was CHIPBOARD with melamine tops and doors and of appalling quality i.e cheap and nasty and certainly not 24k as advised by mr Bramley. We immediately informed Sharps by telephone of our dismay And disbelief and instructed the fitter to stop fitting the rest of the order he fully understood swept up and bagged the shavings into sacks and left. The Customer service department are very arrogant and really couldn’t give a damn basically saying you signed the contract etc etc with the exception of Briggite Rhodes who was extremely polite and courteous in reporting on investigations which resulted in nothing. We have therefore handed the file to our lawyers with the instructions to recover monies paid via the courts as this will maybe protect the public in future and expose this company as what they really are CROOKS AND LIARS. The product is terrible cheap and nasty and not fit for purpose steer clear of this company and its tactics.

Sadly I feel so let down by the whole experience. In the attempt to give a fully informed review will detail start to finish: Sales visit: arrived on time and listened to our needs and a plan was put together in prep for survey. We used the brochure and online details to decide what we wanted and committed to 3 rooms. Initial impressions were good enough for us to feel confident it was an informed choice. Price wise was ok but the so called positive reviews and warranty meant we were felt it was worth the premium. Initial niggle was then securing a price match on an updated sharps offer. Managed to negotiate a reduction but not fully price matched. Survey went ok and we were able to make minor alterations (handles etc) and no cost. On both these visits we explicitly checked it would be ok to completely clear just one of the 3 rooms and allow enough room in remaining 2. All ok apparently. Delivery day, tried to offload in all 3 rooms. Eventually after calls to office agreed all would be stored in the cleared room. Fitter arrives a day late (first fitter could not attend due to current health reasons but only found 2 minutes before deadline). After being initially rude about not listening to clear instructions to go to front door and me challenging him to get out of back garden (we have dogs) he got to work. He was not happy that the allocated room was very crowded but eventually cleared enough space. Fitter took great pride in his work but was let down by damaged materials and the doors were nowhere near the expected colour as per online samples and brochure. Call to customer care (well some office outside of any form of customer care) and engagement with technical team with pictures sent to highlight mismatch in door Colour replacements would be sent. I advised at this stage and sought reassurance that the doors would arrive as per online colours and was told that they would. Finally new doors arrived a day late and I was at work so daughter (adult) afforded access. Guess what same colour. Rude and abrupt email finally received from customer care team saying sharps fulfilled contract. Wrong. If there was any doubt why would you originally agree to send new doors? We also had never seen any real samples but here assured the driftwood door finish is grey. It’s not. Everyone we have shown pictures to says it is Elm. We now have paid out thousands for a product we don’t like with zero recognition nor support. The customer care team have even stooped so low as to advise us we had been shown samples before. We absolutely had not seen anything on the door colours in real life. Logically it would have been sensible for sharps to send a sample before replacing doors? I will be seeking council regarding my rights Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 immediately and will not be bullied and lied to by Sharps period. It is alarming how frequent this is becoming and totally unacceptable as a so called reputable market leading provider. Devastated does not even come close. Damage and worry has extended far beyond just the financial commitment. Never have we felt so upset and angry. Whole process has left us feel stupid and naive. Such a shame, if the doors were the colour we expected the end products we would be happy with but the underlying attitude and forceful tactics and responses from our customer Advisor is shocking (via email too). She even was overheard telling the fitter just to plough ahead and fit them despite me raising the issue with the doors again with total disregard for my wishes as a customer. Unbelievable. Clearly the idea was to force fitter to finish in my absence and bully the contractural commitments we now have in their world. Never ever will I get sharps to offer their services and will have every intention of exercising our consumer rights. Please if you choose them look at real life samples and don’t take the word of the sales Advisors (who lie). Don’t let the covid excuse prevent them showing you these.

A Sharps delivery lorry completely blocked the road both ways for all traffic to get past today, just so he could pop into a house without having to park his lorry in a safe and proper place. I was stuck for 20 minutes causing me to be late for an important appointment, despite my protests to the delivery driver he wouldn’t move his lorry and all I got was a refusal to move and a load of cheek from him. If that’s the kind of person that Sharps employ then I would advise you to stay clear from this Company.

We should be moving house in around 8 weeks and called into Sutton Coldfield branch with diagram with measurements and photo of the bedroom to get an idea of design and cost but was told we could only have a visit by one of their designers and he could only work to architect drawings. Very dissapointed at this attitude and needless to say we won't be using a company which doesn't want our custom. The sales assistant was an elderly gent who didn't seem to have much of a clue how to deal with customers and was poorly dressed for what is supposedly higher class retail.

The product is good. The fitter professional and helpful. Customer service was poor. The delivery had 2 large boxes of drawers and wardrobe shelf missing. The items had to be reordered? I queried that they must be somewhere as all made to measure and completed for original delivery? My son had to make a special journey to lift the heavy boxes into my flat after they were delivered. Wardrobe shelf still missing! It all took 2weeks rather than 2 days. Customer services didn't seem bothered throughout the saga. I spoke to manager twice then it was passed over to another member of staff who at least kept me informed near the end., I did get some money off the final payment after some negotiations but I wouldn't recommend Sharps to anyone else due only to the poor customer service.

I had to cancel my new bedroom due to illness one week after I had ordered it. I was so disappointed and was really looking forward to it. I was refunded my full deposit within three days of cancelling. I will definitely use this company after I get through my illness and can go ahead with my new sharps bedroom.

Do not use this company. Sheila in Horsham shop so rude that even my husband had to tell her to shut up and listen to the customer! Designer ok, but wanted payment once agreed on design. Dressing table and wardrobe. Surveyor was ok but also fairly abrupt. The fitter. Suffice to say that he was a joke. Smoking wacky backyard outside. Leaving my cloakroom a mess having over 5 days had wee’d and pood in my brand new cloakroom. The rubbish he left in the bin a disgusting disgrace. The dirt and dust left in my house,on carpets a disgrace. No dust sheets are provided. My bedrooms were covered with dust and sawdust. Radiators covered in dust, lampshades covered in dust. My garage covered in dust,my freezer covered in dust. No attempt to get the house cleaned and left how it was. On completion fitter asked for final cheque. I was so upset with what filth I was left with I cried. I had to pay nearly £200 to have professional people/cleaners in 2 days later. The photos that the cleaners took I submitted them to Sharps. The customer service was diabolical. Rude and arrogant. Amy springs to mind! I told her to submit the photos to the directors. Over night I decided to phone my bank and STOP the final cheque. The filth and rubbish they left behind was a disgrace but at my insistence they sent a rubbish collector to remove the filth. We used Sharps 20 years ago and were very impressed. This time very disgusted. If you are contemplating on using them -Don’t!!! They knew they were in the wrong and consequently have not pursued for the final payment and if they did we would take them to Court. Wished I had used Hammonds instead. Please do not use the company. They deserve to go out of business.

Inflated prices for very poor service! Avoid. Our Sharps bedroom furniture has just been completed (almost) but has taken a total of five weeks and we are still not totally happy but have given up. We have spent just under £7000 for something we could have got for less than half. Not the 'quality' we were expecting, from the product which is ok through to the Customer service which has been dire. I exclude Joanne Smart from this review, the only CA who seemed to genuinely care and try her best. The Sales Consultant promised us that all fitters use dust bags to avoid mess everywhere. This is NOT TRUE. Our first fitter James had left on the final day before we got home from work. The mess I walked into almost made me cry. Cardboard packaging and all the offcuts left in the room, everything, including the insides of the wardrobes covered in sawdust. I spent five hours cleaning before able to use. During the fit my husband, a builder himself, questioned the quality of the fit due to a chunk missing out of one of the plinths which the fitter had painted over, hoping we wouldn't notice, gaps between joins where plinths had been cut too short, a vertical divider that had been fitted which was three inches short of the ceiling (the fitter assured us that this was how Sharps made them, later completely denied by the Manager who came out to look at the install who agreed that it had been made wrong and needed replacing), bare MDF showing at the corners because they hadn't been fitted properly, plinth held up with wooden wedges because it was cut too short from the floor, glue residue left on the insides of all the wardrobe doors, three drawer fronts marked which were eventually replaced, and the drawer unit under the wardrobe not fitting flush with the doors which stuck out like a sore thumb. Now I know that nobody likes to have the quality of their work questioned but when it is costing the same as a brand new small car my husband felt entitled. The fitter took exception to this and after my husband left rang someone on his phone slagging him off, unaware that my daughter, working from home in the next room, heard every word. Totally unprofessional and unacceptable! Over the next four weeks we endured fitting appointments made and then cancelled literally two hours later, a customer service advisor confirming an evening appointment at 10.30 in the morning and then the fitter ringing 15 minutes later to say he was on his way - we were all at work so this was cancelled. A fitting appointment made which again was cancelled at the last minute which meant I used a days holiday for nothing and generally just a load of stress. We had to postpone our carpet fitting for three weeks because the room wasn't ready but finally Sharps sent Andris to sort things out. Finally a fitter who clearly takes a pride in his work. It took him 8 hours to put things right and still now we have the glue residue on the inside of the doors because as hard as he scrubbed it will not come off! Sharps are well aware of everything that has happened and despite many discussions, some quite heated, have only given us a discount of £427.55 for our troubles and this was only after I rejected the first offer. My advise to anyone thinking of buying from Sharps is to avoid them and go elsewhere. You can get just as much, if not more for far far less money and probably save yourselves a lot of hassle and upset too. We have learnt a very expensive lesson.
