We've had a very bad experience with Sharps. The first fitter was very bad and left the two wardrobes unfinished with a panel bowed, exposed end pieces, exposed wood on Pelmet, shelves cut incorrectly, lights in the wrong place, doors not adjusted and very poor scribing. The second fitter resolved the issues over the course of a long day but noticed some hinges had been damaged and ordered replacements. The replacements arrived but were completely wrong (Sharps CS attempted to blame that part on me), so the third fitter had to be called off. The job was originally supposed to take 3 days, its been 3 weeks and still not finished. The customer services team have been poor and the general level of incompetence is shocking for a company like this. PLEASE research alternative and smaller local companies as they seem to try harder!

Had an appointment - no 'person' turned up I had to ring and chase and chase where the 'person' was, to then get a call an hour later to say some 'person' will be with me in about 45 minutes - shocking customer service, wasted my entire day waiting in...3rd world problems I know but just ring people let them, know what's going on.

Really unhappy as I thought Sharps would be a better service. The sales guy didn’t do anything I wanted said I need to change it all. Then he wouldn’t leave my house until he got a sale. It put me off using sharps so I went with someone who listened to me and wasn’t pushy!

worryingly, the only 5 star reviews here seem to be mostly anonymous.

Thank god for all the reviews. What a nightmare some poor people have had, I have just cancelled my order and saved myself thousands and unwanted aggro!

I ended up with cheap looking and tacky wardrobes. Poor value for money and the entire experience felt like a cash grabbing operation. I am already seeking to have them removed. I advise you to seek better quality wardrobes elsewhere. A regretful and disappointing experience with this company.

Sharing this so you can all avoid the upset, distress and utter disappointment of being ripped off. This is the finished walk in wardrobe installed by SHARPS BEDROOMS. Today was the final fit after 2 weeks of faulty doors, lights, shoe racks, you name it. Money taken before completion and this is what we got! Substandard, unfinished, poor fitting and everything left filthy dirty. Let the battle commence! Avoid! Don’t waste your money. Get this put right Sharps! Call yourselves a premium brand! Unacceptable all all fronts!!

I ordered my wardrobes back in October and have waited 4 months for fitting. Delivery of my goods was Monday so I booked the day off work, the delivery didn’t arrive so they rescheduled for Tuesday. I am then suppose to have my wardrobes fitted today, got up at 6am, got my daughter out of bed cleared all my daughters room moved her bed out and the fitter has messaged me 30 minutes before arriving saying he’s not coming as he is ill. I know people are ill but everything has been last minute. I have had x2 days off work to be let down on both occasions yet they have had 5 months. I will not use this company again and I will not recommend them to anybody. £1500 for wardrobes and the service has been shocking

Awful. Designer couldn’t be bothered clearly. Had already decided we couldn’t afford the service. Kept asking if we “have any idea how much it will cost” and pushing us to choose a cheaper option. He was rude. Arrogant. Questioning our every decision. When we tried telling him our needs, he kept trying to tell us we “don’t really need that” and was an absolute idiot to be honest. It’s sad because we were so looking forward to having a creative designer with us and he wasn’t at all creative or interested in listening. We came up with a design ourselves and then he simply wrote a long list of numbers with no relevance or indication as to what they were in relation to, ending with a 4 digit figure over £6k and then kept saying “oh I forgot something” and write down another number or two to add on. At this point I’d like to say we could more than afford to go ahead, but honestly had no idea what we were paying for, and the end number was really over inflated, though we may have not thought so if he’d told us what we were actually paying for. Note they only build you a skeleton, there is no back to wardrobes. The wall is the back. So for such a basic set up with no service, creativity and very very basic finishes of MDF you’d expect some itemisation at least with a little idea of what you’re paying for… overall an absolute horrible experience with a company that profiles you before even talking to you. Oh and to top it off, he said “you won’t need long hanging rails, hopefully your son won’t be into dresses fingers crossed” - he was talking to a same sex couple, and knew it. Shame on you sharps, hiring bigots.

Appaling service, product not at all worth the price, we were given wrong parts and bits were damaged. The worst of all is their customer service - so bad and just don't answer any questions or take accountability. Would never reccommend to anyone. Could get much better quality for far cheaper elsewhere.

We had a fitted wardrobe put into our 4th bedroom. On the day of the fitting it was noted that there were gaps between the sliding doors and the framework, big enough to put a file through. We reported this to sharps who sent the fitter back to make adjustments. This made a small but still unsatisfactory difference. We contacted Sharps again to state that we were still not satisfied. In the end they sent an Area Manager out to look at the workmanship and to write a report, which included re-ordering several replacement materials. These were due to arrive am on the Friday, but failed to arrive on time. We contacted Sharps and advised them of this, and stated we could not stay in any longer as my wife had a hospital appointment to go too. They agreed to put the materials on the van on Monday. No delivery on Monday. Contacted Sharps again, who said there had been a problem but the goods would be there by 10:30am the next day, as a new fitter had been appointed to our "job" and he would arrive at the same time. He duly arrived at 9:30am, we pointed out the materials had not arrived. The new fitter looked at the project in hand and made a few adjustments and pointed out that the original fitter had put the shoe rack in the wrong way around, which he showed us before correcting his previous colleagues error. The materials were finally delivered, but there were some "door stops" that had been ordered not present with the order. The fitter requested that they be sent direct in the post to us. We spoke to Amy in Customer Services who confirmed that they would be put in the post that night and would complete a file review to see if we would get any compensation because of all the problems we had had. 16 days later the "stoppers" have still not arrived, neither have we heard anymore from Amy. We were recommended to Sharps by our daughter in law, as part of the referral agreement, they should have received a £50 M&S Voucher upon completion, but they have not received anything. DO NOT BUY from this "over priced" company who do not have the qualified fitters or an appropriate Customer Services Team

Terrible Customer Service, Sharp take no ownership when the cupboards have missing parts i.e. hanging rails missing in a delivery, and i had to sit in cupboard waste blocking my whole lounge room for 7 days, even though sharp forgot to send the hanging rails. Terrible company, wouldn't offer to assist until i payed last 10% of uncompleted works. Customer service team were rude and they outsource a lot of the work so they can avoid responsibilities.

RUDE and VERY UNPROFESSIONAL RUDE: The designer called at 8.47am in the morning to reschedule the appointment. He came without wearing mask, which was fine because my wife and i put ours on just in case. My wife sneezed (not in front of him she was minding her own business) and he asked if she has covid. Seems he's very busy to finish his job and pushed very hard to get the sales, he finished his 'design' (on a piece of paper) in approx. 20 mins after visiting --- for your reference, we asked for fitting a dressing room not a bedroom. UNPROFESSIONAL: He can't CAD, probably the first interior designer i met who can't CAD. He asked us for the measurements of our old wardrobes. I told I have 3 wardrobes for now then he said so the double rails should be fit. I then asked how about night dresses, he said we can put one single rail if you want. 'Then how about drawers?' 'Yes we can have drawers.' 'But how many?' 'It's up to you.' I don't want to be harsh but honestly this is exactly the same job i can do on IKEA planner with a much cheaper price (2000 vs 7000 with discount) and better visual (at least it's 3D).

Sold the dream - anything but. After needing some built in wardrobes i contacted sharps as apparently one of the best in the UK. We had a design appointment with a man who did not stop waffling and what was supposed to be a 30 min appointment turned into over 2 hours. We were sold the dream from this guy, best in the business, amazing installers. The whole process has been a disaster, the fitter it was his first week on the job, was told it would take 2 days max, on the third day my bedroom was left a bomb site, dust everywhere, new carpets and underlay had been hacked and the wardrobes no where near finished and what had been done was an awful standard. This was when the installer proceeded to tell us that he had no idea what he was doing, he had no support and was about to quit. To be fair to sharps they have rectified this within a few weeks however its nearly two months later and i am still constantly chasing the complaint i made. There is absolutely no customer service in this company its disgusting.

The finished product is just OK, but I definitely would not recommend the company to anyone else and I wish we had gone elsewhere (and should have read these reviews before committing £3,500). We ordered built-in cupboards for a bedroom. The order was made in early July and the installation was done in mid October. There was poor communication throughout with a complete disconnect between what different people were telling us. For example, the installer bitching about head office and the sales teams and telling us they only look out for themselves. For the time you'll have to wait and the cost you'll incur, definitely go elsewhere.

from start to finish this company are the worst I have dealt with. they overcharged, took ages to have money returned, they were rude, finish is to a low standard, doors are discoloured, whole experiance was a stressful due to the lack of communication between staff. would never recommend and in my opinion they should be closed

Please do not not use Sharps! We paid for fitted wardrobes for our dressing room and freestanding furniture for our bedroom. This cost in the region of £8000. 1. Sharps installer did not show up on the first day of installation. When I called them they advised one call was made the night before (no missed call on mobile). They confirmed they couldn’t leave a message, but made no other attempts to contact me. 2. Installation started two days after original start date. The Sharps installer was 2 hours late. No calls made to let me know. 3. Sharps had advised that the reason the installer could not start on Monday was due to a family emergency. However, the installer told me he was the one due to start on Monday and then confirmed he’d been in London on Monday and Tuesday having cosmetic dentistry. 4. A few hours after arriving, the installer advised that Sharps had left the wrong materials. The correct materials weren’t dropped off until Thursday afternoon, causing further delays. 5. We were advised that the fitting would take 2-3 days. It took 6 days spread over 2 weeks, as the installer advised he did not work weekends. 6. Once the installation was done, we were left with all the rubbish and packaging and advised we would have to dispose of it ourselves. 7. The installer advised us to clean all the wardrobes ourselves (they leave all the furniture covered in dust). Whilst doing so I noticed that a lot of the furniture had a sticky residue over it which was difficult to get off. 8. Whilst cleaning the freestanding furniture, I noticed that there were scratches to our bedside cabinets and chest of drawers. 9. I contacted Sharps and advised that due to all of the previous issues, we wanted the freestanding furniture taken away and given a refund. We were told by Sharps that they wouldn’t agree to this. It was only when I told them it was my statutory right, as per the Consumer Rights Act did Sharps agree to providing a refund. 10. A further appointment was made to have the furniture removed. The guy was an hour late and then advised that he would just be taking the furniture down and we would have to make another appointment to have the materials removed. 11. Numerous emails were sent to Sharps relating to the above issues. I had to chase responses and when I asked for a refund initially Sharps’ response was borderline rude. I never received any explanations for any of the issues, just the odd apology. There was an outstanding balance of 10% owed and Sharps said that they would write off £100 that we still owed. Given all of the issues above I believe they’ve got off very lightly. PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!
