Never got the package, USPS did not deliver properly and sent the package back. Sad thing, I got charged $ 60.00 for nothing. Oh well what can you do.

Hi Philip Thanks for reaching out here on our review site - we did attempt to contact you by email about this? As you weren't around to take collection of your shipment it was taken to a collection centre for you to pick up. Only once you didn't collect it after a week was it returned to sender, which is the point we of course let you know and refunded you. Really sorry you didn't get your foam but hopefully you can see from the tracking information we sent you that we did make every effort to get it to you. If you can possibly respond to our email we can always explore re-shipping for you if you still need the product? So sorry again that it didn't work out for you.

I think this product is overpriced for the quality I received the shadow form and it wasn’t even cut straight. It had wonky edges, not happy at all with this product.

You should check your data because I already wrote a review immediately after receiving the parcel... I received a single piece of the thickest foam (yellow !), which size was half of the packing box... totally unsuitable for my needs... So the answer to your question is : only way you would have done more poorly is by sending nothing !

Foam did no peel in layers, once I cut neatly the base underneath was a mess, ended up throwing the lot out after lots of attempts. Had the foam came in layers would of given 5 stars, £25 down the drain 👎

Not impressed with the current batch of shadowfoam. As an existing user of the product, which was a high quality, smooth, flat and sprayed finish product consisting of a fairly dense foam that was easy to cut and manage. The original foam appearing to be denser had some natural grip which meant it was firmer and held tools in place without deforming. Over the years my toolkit has expanded and I needed to redesign the contents of my tool cabinets, so I bought some more blue shadowfoam. What a disaster! The sheets don't sit flat, the foam is so course that it is difficult to cut, and when you do cut it it rips and after a very short period, the scalpel blades go blunt. The top surface of the foam is lumpy and uneven. I spent an evening cutting out a very full tray of small tools, the cut outs deformed as tools were pressed into place, and in the end I had to throw the entire evening’s work away. I am very disappointed with the changes made to the foam and will not be investing in your product again unless you return to the original high density sprayed foam. Pictures supplied show original against the new, and a comparison of flatness between original and current. The new stuff is dreadful, will not buy again.

Hi Tommy So sorry to read this, I have been trying to contact you for a week. Your order was returned to us due to non-payment of import taxes which I messaged you about on 9th February as soon as it came back to us and we knew about it. I asked if you wanted it refunding or re-shipping but then a week later when we hadn't heard back from you we just went ahead and refunded you anyway. Really sorry it didn't work out for you on this occasion, perhaps if you could check your emails from us and respond if you have any further queries on this? Thanks

After cutting I’d expect the layers to separate but no! It all comes out unevenly. Really poor quality product in my opinion

Hi Michael Thanks for the feedback, and from what you mention this is almost certainly something we can help you with. The layers are intentionally designed not to separate too easily... otherwise the foam would fall apart over time and you'd need to replace it very soon, and that's obviously not what we want. I can see you didn't order any cutting equipment with your foam so the first thing I'd suggest is that we can send you one of our cutting packs which will absolutely help with this. But also we have heaps of tools and resources online that help you with the best techniques for both cutting and peeling the foam. I will send you an email separately with some links that will definitely help you and hopefully we can get this resolved for you so you're happier with your product. Thanks again.

I was meant to receive a free sample box of some of shadow foam products but instead it cost me $85.00 in shipping to receive 1 peice of foam. What a joke i hope other people dont get caught out like i did

Hi Tracey So sorry to hear you are disappointed with your free sample, maybe you can let us know how you think the listing could be improved? So here is what we sent you in your sample pack: Shadow Foam Sample Piece Complimentary Cutting Pack And that is how the pack is listed on the website too - so, from the listing, is there someway we can make it clearer what you'll be receiving? I note you used a discount code from an affiliate which waived the usual £5 sample cost to get a totally free sample, so what other Shadow Foam products did you expect to receive, or do you think it would be useful to receive in your sample pack? I wonder if your disappointment is more in regard to the cost of the shipping of the sample...? Obviously we ship these free of charge to the UK, and the cost for shipping these to Europe is relatively low too. But we do of course have to charge the cost of shipping for overseas orders. Shipping to Australia is clearly a little pricey at £46GBP, but hopefully the price was clearly displayed to you at the checkout when you ordered and paid? Is there some way you can suggest that we may make the cost you are paying clearer? Mon colis est resté bloqué à Paris pendant plusieurs jours car je devais payer la TVA(vat): 18,50 euros. Alors que sur votre site, c'était indiqué "inc.vat". Je n'aime pas être trompé de cette façon.Un commerçant doit être clair avec ses clients, encore plus pour les étrangers comme moi qui ne maîtrisent pas l'anglais.Votre site devrait passer automatiquement à la langue du client connecté.Et vous devriez écrire en gros ce problème de TVA depuis le Brexit.En plus j'ai payé plus de 13 euros de frais de port et le colis a mis du temps à venir.Dans ces conditions,je n'ai pas une grosse envie de revenir acheter sur votre site. Unfortunately, I was very disappointed with the shadow foam I received. I ordered 2 of the Stanley Fat Max Deep Pro foam inserts. The process of removing layers of the foam was hindered by the layers being stuck together so well that I could only remove sections in clumps, making my project look very untidy. I was following the shadow foam YT video showing the Dewalt battery storage idea. The guy in the video removes the layers with ease whereas I was unable to do the same with the shadow foam I received. In the end the layers were stuck together so well that I had to use my scalpel sideways to cut into the layers and remove the foam in chunks. Not very impressed given the price paid and I won’t be ordering any more!

Hi Damian - so sorry to hear you've been having trouble with peeling your foam, if only you'd been in touch to let us know, as we can absolutely help you out with that. It's great you watched the Dewalt video, another great resource would be our "How To" instructional videos we direct you to on the delivery note which are on our website. So here's where you're given a step by step guide to both cutting and peeling the foam. I can see you didn't get any cutting equipment from us so I will send you an email to direct you to the tools we recommend for cutting and also a link to the videos which I think will be really useful. It's wholly intentional that the layers are bonded together firmly... this is to stop the foam falling apart over time and is there to make your inserts last you a long time. That's why using our recommended techniques for cutting and peeling is really important to help you get the best results. You've used a good technique there for flattening the bottom of the peeled area by using your blade on it's side, but we also have other methods and products which will help you with this too - again we will email you with more detail on this. I'm also sorry to see that you rated our quality of service just three stars as we shipped your order the very next working day and it was delivered the following day as advertised, and we've had no contact from you to advise of any issues regarding this. But hopefully if we are able to resolve the issue you're having with using the product you will feel you've had a better experience with us. Got the foam, not great quality, very expensive for what it is , I had Kizan foam for my other tool boxes which is much better quality and cheaper to buy. Expected better product, was disappointed

i got the foam. Yes well packaged etc. Anyways went to cut the foam that went well however when i tried to pull the layers off it was soo bad. Its like there is too much adhesive on the layers and i could pull it off without it looking tatty. Im not that happy with the quality of the foam underneath the top layer. I am trying to find my order number at the moment so i can possible contact shadow if they can help me with this.

If I could give less than one star I would. The delivery was a week late and on the day they did say they would deliver they didn’t it was another day late. As for the shadow foam it wasn’t cut square and different widths, cuts were also not straight. I ordered blue top surface to the shadow foam and there were different shades of blue so all in all not a good experience. And I don’t expect I’ll be winning my any amazon vouchers either

Product comes in with a serious warp/curvature in it making it impossible to use in tool draws without gluing it in the drawer permanently. Attempts to communicate with Shadowfoam were at first positive but went rapidly downhill after they failed to deliver replacement material. They now ignore all emails and queries about what is happening with the replacement product promised by them 4 months ago.

Ordered two pieces of foam to be cut to size. Both pieces were short and one was the incorrect thickness. Complain via their web site and received an apology and was told they would be replaced. Parcel arrived with only one piece of foam cut to the correct size and thickness. No sign of the other piece.
