Both times I have used SGS I felt that a good job was done, particularly on the plumbing side. I think the prices are higher than some other companies though.

We have entered into a contract with SGS for the continued maintenence of our heating system and boiler. It has been identified that some work needs to be done to remove the exclusion clauses you have placed against our system and I understand this is going to take place in June but to date no appointment has been made or if it has we have not received any communication regarding it. Our past experience of heating engineers, and plumbers coming to our home has to say the least been absoloutely unacceptable and in a desperate last ditch effort we have entered into our contract with you to ensure we get the best professional service that should be expected by any home owner. Hopefully that will be proven when you have finally updated our system with what needs to be done in June. The engineer who came to our home definitly appeared to know what he was talking about and gave us the confidence that we should not be placed in the unsatisfactory situation we have been in over many years and poor workmanship from other plumbers and heating engineers that have attempted to keep our heating system serviceable and safe. We were happy with your engineers visit and we look forward to seeing what we have been told being carried out.

SGS quickly diagnosed the problem, restricted circulation due to a fault in the pump. Once the service engineer had come the pump was replaced in about ten minutes.

Reliable and efficient workforce. However, when setting up an annual contract, for monthly payments, I was baffled to understand why the first payment wasn't due for nearly 2 months in advance of accepting the plan. It would be good to set it up online and for the first payment to be taken almost immediately, so starting the cover, at that point. I needed 2 call outs within a couple of weeks of each other and I was informed that "The System" didn't allow the contract to cover the cost! Who is in charge of The System? It needs sorting! Anyway, they did cover the call outs without cost after my complaint, to be fair. Otherwise, I do recommend them.

Expensive! Failed to satisfactorily fix leak in toilet after 2nd visit. Failed to return a phone call when they had promised. Would not quote for a straightforward job over the phone.
