Great service and very prompt. But the call out charge of £90 to be told they can’t fix the boiler is a little excessive but seems aligned to the general market unfortunately.

Hi John, I've looked into this situation for you. Unfortunately we do have a standard call out charge which has to apply. I understand from the engineer who visited that you're having a new boiler installed soon. If SGS were installing that boiler for you we could have looked at the call out charge but it looks like we were never given the opportunity to quote for the boiler. Excellent, on time, smart, clearly knew his stuff - only engineer in 9 years to identify persistent fault in system, he identified it as being a part that should have been fitted when it was originally installed, not I hasten to add by SGS. Well done

All completed 1st time. Positive first response when calling for service 08.15am. John took time to ascertain fault and identify part required . Visited 1 pm same day? Engineer Ray rang beforehand to check make of valve . Came with the correct part . All fitted well . Amazingly ,and first time ever with SGS , all completed 1st time, no 2nd visit. Congratulations.

Courteous and knowledgeable service. Used for several years now. Had a couple of occassions when appointments have had to be changed as engineer/plumber held up etc but has been dealt with in a professional manner. Better prices than British Gas. Would certainly recommend.

They spent a good hour or so checking the system and the property before compiling the quote for a replacement boiler which gave me the confidence that they wanted everything to be right for the install day, and that there wouldn’t be any surprises. There was also no hard selling. The install day went well and with minimal disruption, the engineer was able to answer all of my questions and also took the time to talk through what he had done. All staff have seemed very professional and friendly at all times. I would use SGS again and even consider SGS for the other services they provide.

Ray was really friendly and gave us great advice about what to keep an eye out for with regards to boiler pressure, how we can keep on top of it, and he upped the temperature for us which has massively improved things like running a Bath and filling the sink up to wash dishes, meaning we have to use loads less of the hot tap and can use more cold water. He also let us know about the benefits of joining your monthly scheme to cover our boiler / annual service, which we will be looking into to see which plan is best for us. Thank you, Ray!

Got my oil boiler serviced by Gavin today. The service given was professional and easy to arrange. I have used this company in the past for a variety of jobs (log burner and radiators) in my home and will use them again in the future

The engineer that visited to service the boiler spotted a water leak and tightened the water connections under the sink to stop it, which was really kind. Previously had positive experience of the company when the boiler broke too.
