“We came to look for a vehicle for our daughter and started looking at the New cars. We asked Gary if they had any used mint green Fiat 500’s. Gary should us the perfect car and we pointed out a few marks on the alloy wheels. Gary sorted the wheels out, gave us free number plates for our daughter, had the car MOT’d , and put balloons in the back. He didn’t try and push us to a more expensive car or sell us things we didn’t want. He was honest and very knowledgeable which is why we bought here. On the day we picked up the vehicle Abby oversaw this and was equally as professional. I would defiantly recommend SG Petch to anyone.”

“This is the 6th car my family have bought from SG Petch and on every occasion we have found the branch in Middlesbrough to be exceptional. We always receive a warm welcome and the service they provide to us is first class. If we have a problem it is sorted out straight away and we are never inconvenienced. “what can I say on delivery to me parts of the car including engine were filthy. this was rectified but too late. the thrill of purchasing a brand new car was squashed as mine resembled a second hand car. whilst rob the salesman and the sales manager were great this car was far from the standard I expected. valeter get your finger out”

“Josh Lane, who I dealt with was excellent. He was helpful, not pushy but answered all my questions clearly and fairly. My car was ready on time, beautifully valeted and a pleasure to drive away in. We have now had 5 cars from this garage and have been pleased each time. Keep up the good work. And Happy 😊 Christmas 🎄”

“I am really happy with the car I purchased. When I came to the dealership Ryan helped me with all the questions I had about the car. Ryan was very helpful, making sure I knew everything about the car before I bought it, and went through all the cars buttons and bits to make sure I knew what everything was. Ryan made sure I could get the car on my day off, and sorted out all the paper work etc so that I could pick up the car quite quick after buying it. Ryan was very polite and kind, making sure I could get in touch with him if I needed any help or had any questions in the future. Overall I’m very happy with the service and would definitely recommend.”

“Really pleased with the service we received from SG Petch and George Hope - from our first visit to the day we collect our car, nothing was too much trouble and they were very willing to assist. Their customer service was a major influence in our decision to buy a car from George as other dealerships we had visited did not seem to be really interested in what we wanted even though we were definitely in the market for a new car. Thanks to all the team there for helping us.”

“Well, my experience isnt over just yet. When I first saw the car I wanted in the Durham branch I called and was told it was only available at the price on the website with a 50% deposit but didnt say this on the website. I contacted SG Petch on FB who contacted the dealership and resolved this fairly quicky and I got it at the advertised price but it was a little annoying and I almost left the car. Test drive was enjoyable and getting the paperwork signed was easy. However another issue arose and because my address on my licence was different to my actual address they could not put the finance through on the rate agreed and offered me a higher rate instead to bypass this issue. Had a little issue with getting it sorted and a mix up in who was dealing with me after getting passed around a few times. However I spoke to the manager and it was a system issue but he resolved it swiftly for me and I got the original agreed APR deal. Picking the car up was fine. Had a few daft advisories like a loose exhaust I personally found unusual but they explained it was just part of the age etc. I accepted that because the car was 8yr old after all. On collection day I was told they offered delivery and then told they didnt. So I collected the car, was straightforward and easy. Anyways, I had the car 1 week and 3 days when it broke down on my mother. A friend towed it back and it seemed fine so put it down to her maybe getting mixed up somewhere. However, a day or so later it broke down on me. I called SG who told me to get it recovered to them, so I paid for recovery and off it went on the 9th of November. I also noticed then that they didnt stamp the service book for the service they said they did on collection. After around a week, they said the parts from Ford have been delayed so with all due respect they offered me a Hyundai i10 courtesy car. Its a nice clean car and they insured it for me etc. So cant ask for more here. So, at the time of my review the car is still in for repairs and just waiting for the call. Wish I bought the Hyundai i10 now but the experience overall has been fair. Frustration ensures but not all the fault of the dealer, cars do breakdown, the reason for the review being 3star was mainly the little issues that built up.”

“I went to pick up my car and it was covered in bird muck, dirt marks and some micro scratches. Inside the car had not been detailed very well with muck on the drivers instrument display binacle. Dispite the sales man having driven the car to fuel it he had not thought it necessary to sort it out and had to be asked three times to sort it out. I also negotiated a full tank of fuel with the sale but was only give 3/4 tank, a small but annoying thing after the rest of the issues.”
