Friendly staff, nice atmosphere, no pressure. Ryan at Darlington SG Petch made everything really easy, i didn't feel uncomfortable as a lady car shopping on my own asking daft questions. He was helpful and I never felt under any pressure, or rushed. He was equally helpful when I collected my car, a Kona, which I love driving. Thankyou

Excellent service throughout - sincere thanks to Chris Boyce. We have just completed our purchase of a used vehicle, and have been impressed throughout by the service received. Car was covered in what appears to be tree resin particularly on the sun roof,very difficult to remove. Telephone calls not returned. Part ex price given without seeing car.

i bought this car and paid top dollar on condition the wheels were conditioned from being scratched etc. These were repaired through you in the most poor and cheap finish possible. Who sprays wheels over outer wheel weights which shouldnt be fitted on OUTER alloy wheel rims anyway.Who sprays wheels without smoothing and preparing and removing rust. All 4 wheels need doing again properly at my own cost DISSAPOINTED IS AN UNDERSTATEMENT

From the first time I took my new car for a test drive to the moment I picked up the keys and drove away I received amazing service. Reg went above and beyond to help me with finance and when I had a worry about something on the car Manager Andrew told me just to pop down and he would have a look. Within seconds he reassured me that I had nothing to worry about and explained what I could see was part of the chassis. Would highly recommend and will be back when I’m ready for my next car

I thought SG Petch matched my requirements very well. Grahame was very good and a Joy to deal with . I work at Portakabin in York and would have no issues recommending SG Petch to colleagues and friends and family.

I came to Petch to assess and purchase a new CX5 AWD to replace a 3 yrs old Honda CRV. I visited the Honda dealership and they gave a similar part ex valuation but I was annoyed with them as they loaded the deal with alloy wheel insurance, Diamond Bright and 5yrs servicing. A new alloy wheel even for a top spec CRV or CX5 can be obtained for £100 to £140, Diamond Bright a waste of £300 and I would only ever use 2 out of 5 yrs servicing so Honda loading an extra £1800 really annoyed me so I came to Mazda and Petch and I was equally annoyed when somehow or other my new CX5 Sport AWD ended up with Diamond Bright added. I missed that in the negotiation but has left me disappointed in Petch. Your sales reps probably get a £50 bonus for each useless Diamond bright you sell but it alienates customers. I had three top spec CRV's from Honda but no more. looks like Petch will go the same way.

Went to look for a new car for my wife, salesmen (Reg) was friendly and informative without being pushy or overbearing. Quickly organised a test drive and discussed a deal before calling back two days later to finalise everything. Car was well prepped and ready when we went to collect it, noticed a small issue which was missed from initial inspection but sorted instantly and received a follow up call a few days later to check all was ok.

Due to the current restrictions my transactions with SG Petch were conducted remotely. However, there was considerable communication during this time. Every question was answered rapidly and in detail. I was kept informed of everything at all times. It is clear to me that this garage provides a first-class service, with the customer at heart. I would heartily recommend their services.

Went to buy a car from here after lockdown as I've always heard good reviews. Disappointed when my appointment was double booked but someone else looked after me. Ended up buying a brand new car from here. I kept ringing up and told my messages were being passed on but they never were. The sales man gave me his mobile number to combat this, which he shouldn't have had to I complained regarding the difficulties and received a free tank of fuel - although I had to remind them because no-one had actually passed it on, so communication clearly hadn't got better after my complaint. I have had the car a few months now and even after a few reminder emails, I am still waiting for my service plan to be set up. I'm extremely disappointed that I have had to write this review as SG Perch York has always been well recommend by everyone locally. They did only have a fraction of staff back due to covid, which I did account for with timings, but they were still promising things would be done in a timely manner when it is clear that it is not able to with a third of the sales team in. SG Petch, you need to be more honest with your customers regarding timings and improve on communication between staff and departments. I'm really disappointed that I have had this service, especially after spending such a sizeable amount of money. Your company has been one held in high regard locally but you have really let yourself down. I do not feel like a valued customer at all and feel as though other customers, as well as new ones, are being put higher on the level of importance to you.
