I came to trade my original car on finance for a newer one on a new agreement. I felt Ryan at SG Petch Darlington helped me make the right decision on car model, with storage size being a priority as a new mother. Ryan was friendly and professional throughout and I felt he got the best finance deal for me.

SG PETCH DURHAM can highly recommend this garage along with Ray Yates the Senior Sales Executive, he is a real credit to the garage. We had an idea of what we wanted which we had enquired about online then had a follow up call from Ray to confirm they still had it & did we want to view it. We went along to the garage viewed the car & looked at other cars too which we were left to have a good look around at our pace without anyone bothering us which was lovely. Ray made us feel at ease he didn’t pressurise us at anytime, had good product knowledge & was very friendly with great communication. A deal was done with no stress & the car was ready for us to pick up after a few days. Thank you so much Ray We love our beautiful new car (Jaffa)

Not sure I've ever left such a poor review for anywhere, but cannot recommend SG Petch for car maintenance any less. In 2022, I was booked in for a 2 year service as per the manufacturer schedule. They changed it to a 1 year service without consulting me, and after I raised it they went ahead and did the 1 year anyway so I had to bring it back a few weeks later to finish it. Today, I was booked in for a 3 year service and MOT. I had a confirmation email, but it wasn't booked in properly and I wasn't on the list. I now have to spend a fortune on taxis so I can go to work on Tuesday when I bring it in again, and it'll take the whole day instead of just the morning. For the messing around, I was offered my MOT for free. Except my MOT was already supposed to be free after they messed me around last time. Now waiting for a manager to call me, which if previous experiences have taught me, won't be until next week. Additionally, I had to have a warranty repair and was messed around with when it would be ready. Every time I was promised a call, they wouldn't actually call. Spent the week chasing them up for updates and confirmation of a collection date. For my next car, I'll be choosing a brand that doesn't require me to use SG Petch as the only local approved centre.

Service was amazing, dealt with Connor who could not have done anything better he was excellent at all points. The only disappointment however was a week later receiving a letter inviting us to buy a new car and offering 3 years free servicing and 5 years warranty which stuck in the throat!! Not great at all!! Could be better service if advised of upcoming offers!

The purchase process was very good and I am happy with the car. But I do feel let down by an error on my GAP insurance. Nine weeks after purchase this has still not been resolved. To pay £300 and not get the cover is really disappointing, hence I am considering my options on how to get my £300 back

After spending over £20K with them, I have had zero aftersales care. Initially when I had issues with components missing from my key fob I had zero response from the person who sold me the car. Recently, my car went in for an MOT and Service and the guy who was "Looking after me" was terrible. Nonchalant attitude to when my car would be ready and when I asked to give me an educated guess he would ramble on about getting parts in and not knowing the ETA or how long it would take to work on the car. I have lost all confidence in SG Petch Durham Mazda. All they care about is getting money in their pockets and not for their customers. A lot of sales training needs to be done in that place because as someone who worked in sales, I am embarrassed that there are people like that who treat customers like we're nothing.

Absolutely no doubt Roy Cook is an absolute god send. He worked above and beyond to help us with our new car. He needs a promotion or payrise as he is a massive credit to the S G Petch Sunderland garage. Thankyou Mr Cook for being a superstar and putting our faith back into Kia again

The purchase of my brand new Mazda CX-30 was a breeze from start to finish. David Shield was most helpful and explained in detail each step of the purchase. The new vehicle handover was very comprehensive and he made me feel at ease with the new technology. This was the second purchase from David within a month as my wife had previously purchased a used Mazda 2 with the same ease and efficiency.
