“Wildly inflated prices, hold your car hostage, do not do the job properly, scammers, pressurised selling techniques. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. An MOT which should cost £150 became a bill of £900”

“Avoid Avoid Avoid Wouldn’t give any star’s, absolutely shocking. Picked up late yesterday for service and mot, then had phone call to say it failed and to fix it would cost £840, I said I’d get a second opinion, but they wouldn’t release my car. In the end I told them to do the work on it, he told me we’ll send photos of the work, no photos and my car still has not been returned back to me. Can’t get hold of anyone. It’s joke”

“Extraordinarly bad. Impossible to get hold of on the phone, didn't turn up on the booked day, impossible to get a refund, and if you do go ahead they fleece you for any additional work needed. Cut out this incompetent, outdated middle man and just use a local garage.”

“Couldn't get away with giving no stars. Booked and had confirmation of service for 2.9.21. On 1.1.21 received an email with different date on. Didn't turn up on due date. Spent over an hour holding on phone to speak to someone. Gave up. Had read reviews on their website. Wish I had looked elsewhere to see what a terrible company they actually are. So glad I didn't pay upfront. Do not use this company”

“Most awful experience ever! I sent my car for service and MOT today. The guy gave me price of £45 to fit the two front tyres and £160 for change in engine oil and brake fluid. Bearing in mind I have already paid ~£70 in advance for basic service and MOT. I heard the price as £116 and agreed even knowing this is higher than the street price. Until the text message said £160. Now to tell you the absolute truth I was trying to get whole of the customer services for almost 3 hrs including that useless AI Ada chat service. No one answers! I had the worse experience and after chatting to the guy who dropped the car he added that I wasn't the only one and this is something happening regularly. They add a lot of commission on the actual price the garage they are working with have quoted them. My recommendations- 1. Do not believe in google search popping this website as most recommended. 2. If you want to check for yourself go ahead and try to get hold of the customer service before committing to anything. 3. Definitely compare the prices with another garage”

“This company has no customer service, will take your money within seconds, do not pick your car up with out any excuse, you can’t talk to anyone and then reschedule without contacting you to confirm it fit in with your working life. Don’t Use this company”

“WARNING. DON'T USE THIS COMPANY. I waited all day for my vehicle to be collected and they never came. Servicingstop never called me. I called them it was "busier than normal" according to the auto machine. I used the online chat and waited in a queue for 5hrs only for the company to close at 5pm. I emailed them to cancel. They replied back saying they have canceled my appointment and will refund my money in 5/7 working days. (I prepaid to save £20) No Reason was given as to why my vehicle wasn't picked up.”

“Would give 0 if I could. Car was supposed to be picked up for a service and MOT between 8.30am & 9.00am from my works. Was collected at 11.00am. No contact all day. Tried calling Service stop several times but robot kept telling me to use website. At 16.30 hrs I called the actual garage as I knew where my car had been taken. They said I wasn't supposed to call them but the car was ready and waiting for release by service stop. 17.00hrs , still no call from service stop but garage called to say they had closed now and my car was safely locked away for the night. How was I supposed to get the 22 miles home. Taxi at a cost off £34. Whilst in the taxi I had a text message from Service stop saying the car needed extra work (at quite a cost) even though the garage had already said it was ready. Following morning a colleague gave me a lift to work. I left several angry text messages with Service stop as they still didn't answer my calls . About 10.00 hrs my manager called me to say he had my car keys and paperwork. The car had been dropped off in car park and the keys handed to a Contractor we had on site , who handed them to Site security ,who handed them to my manager. No phone call from delivery person to let me know it was back. What about the extra work it needed.?? How about paying me back my taxi costs. I have tried several times to contact Servicing stop but they just ignore me A complete bunch of cowboys , scam artist who just take your money and don't give a care about you or your vehicle. Use these idiots at your peril.”

“The biggest liars..They charged me massive amount for the service. Initial payment seems minimal but when you get final bill its huge and they will not release your far without paying it. Also I found they charged me fir many things like replacement of anti freeze solutions but then I checked with another servicemen he told me it's not replaced at all and don't know about many more things. So please do not fall prey for these big liars..”

“DONT USE ITS A SCAM Well where do I start Do not be fooled by the reviews on there website they are fake. This company is a joke honestly never in my life experience such bad service They took my car from my house thought it was being picked up on a flatbed but no some young kid, he showed me reference number and details of the booking so I thought fine ok no problem, This was 8:30am by 4pm I hadn’t heard anything so I tried to call 3 separate numbers no answers ended up on hold for 45mins, Finally got an email with an invoice to pay for £450 !! For filters changes & break fluid Unless I paid this invoice my would car would not be released, Couldn’t query it as I couldn’t get through to anyone, so I ended up paying it No response since then, phone switched off & my car was not returned.. I checked my Mercedes App to see where it was & I was shocked to see it was in a garage in Bolton unlocked in a scrap yard.. Even more shocking my car had been driven halfway around Manchester 160 miles later total of 3 hours someone was driving my car.. Can’t get hold of anyone Supposed to be going away on holiday in the morning with the family can’t do that now with no car absolute shambles..”

“Minus 5*- Used Service Stop to book my MOT and Interim Service. ABSOLUTELY HORRENDOUS COMPANY, please do not use them!!! Keen to call you to make sure you're 100% going to use them, then won't answer any call or email. A guy called me to say that my car needed so much work done (near to £800) and when I called the independent garage where my car was the mechanic said that nothing needed doing and it passed with flying colours. As soon as I told Service Stop that I didn't want any work doing to my car the colleague was very rude and told me how I was a dangerous driver. The independent garage had also made me aware of another girl that had used service stop and she had been conned out of £1000!!! Luckily i was strong enough to say no to everything!!!”

They rope you in with a cheap initial quote but then if there are any issues, they charge inflated prices on every thing else. My bill went up from £122 to £725 just to pass the MOT. Also, I've been stitched up. Last year they said I needed the headlights to be realigned. So I agreed. Cost well over £100. This time again they said the headlights needed to be realigned again to pass the MOT. I had no option because I needed the car back. I just called a local garage and asked them about this. They said it was unlikely that headlights need to be realigned 2 years in a row. Of course, it is not something that can checked like having to install new brakes etc. I will never use them again.”

“Quoted £109 and then got the bill of £177! They collected my car and made me put petrol in it as the garage was 80 miles away!!! That’s just the last hour and a half! I’m already disgusted and not collected car yet! I’m now reading the reviews and I’m terrified of what state my car will come back in and what bill will be sent to me. Upset is an understatement.”

“DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY The garage my car went to was fantastic but servicing stop are horrendous you can never get hold of them by phone or email. When they call you to update you on your car you are told you need so much done and are pressured to get it done or you won’t get your back. The prices are horrendous over £700 for mot and service and to have my break pads done which should of been about £500 at the most. I will never use them again please avoid.”

“I thought it sounded great as I don’t have much time to hang around waiting. Should have done more homework on them!! Pick up car between 8-10am………picked up at 1pm!! No communication what so ever all day so had no idea when I’d get my car back. The next morning a list of very expensive things I don’t need as due to Covid and being ill with long Covid I have hardly used my car. Still cost me £45 more!! Feel like I’ve been done!! Never again, prefer In n Out garages I reckon!!”

“Service on a pergeut Boxer, no issues reported, no brakes required, £885 plus vat. 1000 miles later, MOT revealed badly corroded brake pipe. Also fan belt screaming after service. I mistrust filter changes and oil so have booked a service elsewhere for assurance. Trading standards notified. No response to complaints. Suspect a bunch of shysters.”

“Third party who works with independant garages. The garage that did the work was great, great service and apologetic about Servicing Stop (they are tied into a contract with them). Servicing Stop however were terrible, ended up paying nearly four times the amount it should have cost if the garage did the work themselves! STAY AWAY UNLESS YOU DON'T CARE ABOUT WASTING MONEY!”

“I wish i had never used this gang of thieves! They Booked the service which i paid for and then on the day added unnecessary extras like specialist oil i never asked for, Changing the tyre because apparently it had a Nail in it! Also they added a powerflush to the oil change when i never asked for one! Then they threatened to keep the car until i paid the extra £300 pounds!!! What a bunch of thieves! The Garage was Servicing Stop Garage Cromwell Centre Unit 8 Coppen Road Dagenham Dagenham RM8 1HJ Never use these thieves!”
