I don't have to write a long review as everything written here happened to me. I was quoted an initial price then later that day a phone call came from a man talking very fast so I didn't understand telling me other things needed doing to my car and needed another £411.00. Anti roll bars is what I remember him saying, this is a repair I have had not long ago , and was all checked out as ok. He said my car won't pass it's MOT unless fixed, I asked 3 times, which I found out was a lie. Also, an engine flush, long life oil, I was too distressed to take this all in. I was not informed during the day or rang to ask if I wanted this work to be done I didn't pay this money, it came down to £108 which is still too much but I felt so upset and abused by these people I wanted to just get rid of them. Do not use this service.

Do not use Servicing Stop or you will regret it!!! Do not trust the positive reviews – I’ll tell you why: Servicing Stop make you pay before any work is carried out, and before you can pay, they make you leave a review. More on that to follow. I decided to use Servicing Stop for convenience, and in terms of picking the car up and dropping back it was convenient there, but that’s where the convenience ended. I also chose Servicing Stop due to the advertised price of the service -BIG MISTAKE. I’ve not had a car for nearly 4 years now, so was a bit out of the loop in terms of car servicing and pricing. An hour or so after my car was picked up I got a call from Servicing Stop telling me what needed to be done to the car. The guy mentioned a few things which I knew would cost a lot of money, but added that he was not worried about those things and didn’t ned done right now. He then told me the car needed ‘specialist oil’ which would be extra, a brake fluid change, an engine flush and a new bulb. He said that would cost me £314. He said “that would get the car legal” That didn’t click with me at the time, but the car was already legal having a long MOT left. I was at work at the time, plus being out of the loop re car stuff, so I told them to go ahead. He told me he would send a link to make payment and no work would be carried out until I made payment. Also would I mind leaving them a review. I received the link expecting an itemised bill, what I got was a link to leave a review, and I could not progress to make payment until I clicked to leave a review. Bear in mind – no work has been carried out yet, and I haven’t even seen my bill. So, being at work, I just wanted to get it done. I clicked some stars and only then was I able to view my invoice and pay. {I have since found out that Trust Pilot have been investigating Servicing Stop and have given them a Cease & Desist notice for their review practices. Do not trust any positive Servicing Stop reviews.} This is when I realised that the price quoted on the phone was excluding VAT – which he didn’t tell me about. So my bill ended up being £377.00 for the extra work. The total bill for the service and that tiny bit of work was £500.73 !!! I immediately knew I had been scammed. I got the car back several hours later. When I switched on the engine, the ‘service the vehicle’ light was still on. I was furious and wondered if anything had been done. Emailed them and they gave me the name & address of the garage that did the work – something that according to their website should have given me before any work was done. So I drove to the garage (remember that so-called convenience?) and asked them why the service light was still on. They told me that additional work would need doing and to find out what, an electronic diagnosis scan would need top be done. I asked why it wasn’t done during service. They told me that they had advised Servicing Stop that it should be done, but they said that I had refused it! I told them how much Servicing Stop had charged me and they were totally gobsmacked and they advised that I shouldn’t pay it (they didn’t know that I had already paid) and they said that it should be a fraction of that cost. They said they only get work from them and that’s where their association stops. The guy there, realising I had been scammed then did the diagnosis scan for free for me which would normally be about £40. I had a quote from Halford's – a more thorough service and the work that I was charged for would be £279.98 all in – not £500. DO NOT USE SERVICING STOP, they are Rip-off merchants and scammers!!!

Booked van in for service. Was collected early in the morning, was contacted later by a sales person trying to say that extra work was going to be £800 on top of service charge! Was told would be delivered back by 6pm … van has not been returned yet at 6.30pm! Absolutely no means of contacting them at all. Had to give 1 star to write review but really give no stars as appalling customer service. AVOID AT ALL COSTS WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!!!!

Just a one big scam, you will better off going directly to the service garage. The customer service team think themselves as Jordan Belfort from the wolf of Wall Street selling unnecessary things for your car and even things like oil change and brake fluid should be done with the specialist price it seems. But the are just bunch of people sitting g in the office trying to scam people out there booking a service with them. Made it to the things to avoid places in the UK list.

Do not use this company! Wish I had read other reviews first. The quoted price will be the best around but then they will charge extra for required spec oil and any other extras they can get out of you eg brake fluid etc. These extras then cost double the price you can have them done at a dealership! Threatened with putting this down as a part service then! This is how they make their money, lesson learnt here, hope others read this review before being sucked in. To finish off car was returned really late in the day and was no way of contacting them for any information. Avoid!

Decided to use these for convenience, and in terms of picking the car up and dropping back it was convenient there. I also chose them due to price. All I had done was the service, oil and filter change, brake fluid change, engine flush and a bulb change. So that ended up being £122 for the service and another £377 for the above work! If I’d gone to Halfords it would have been £208 which includes oil & filter change, the break fluid change only being another £39. When Serving Stop phone you with a price, they give you it ex-VAT, so you think it’s cheaper than it ends up being. In their website, there’s a list of things they will do such as show I’d when picking up the car, you can view what happening in the app, they will be transparent with the pricing- none of this happened. When you go online to pay your bill, you can’t pay it until you have left a review on their website and in my case this was before the work had even begun. And back to the convenience bit - got the car back, and what greets me on the dashboard? “Service the car soon” message. They hadn’t cleared the service messages which obviously makes me wonder, did they actually do anything? Now I have to drive to this garage that I’ve never heard of ( they only told me what garage it was after I complained about the service message. Another fail on their list of promises) I have to drive to them to get the message cleared. So not so convenient. Wish I’d gone to Halfords. Will not be using Service Stop again. Edit: just back from the garage that did the work - they were astounded at the price I was charged. The garage also showed me what they sent to Service Stop, which included an advisory to get the vehicle scanned which is why the service light is still on. Service Stop did not include or tell me about this. AVOID SERVICING STOP at all costs - cowboys

Awful company, was supposed to get a service and MOT. Once they had my car they rang me with loads of extra charges totalling £700. I told them not to do the work just to pass MOT and was given a charge of £300 which is extremely extortionate for the work they did. Just do to a garage directly which you have heard good things of. The online system is just a scam, no reputable garage needs to get business this way just scammers.

I would not even give this company 1 star! They still have not resolved an issue. I paid for a service and the service indicator light was not reset which makes me believe the service was not carried out in the first place. And that's just the start, they returned my car late, try to charge exuberant costs for additional work and have still not rectified the situation despite this being an ongoing issue and part of their 'guarantee.' DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!

Please do not use this company, they are a con and I suspect any good reviews are untruthful. I paid upfront for a service and MOT as the price for both seemed very reasonable. Upon payment I requested my car to be collected between 0800-1000 however collection didn’t happen until 1130. At 1530 I then receive a call informing me that my vehicles MOT has failed on 4 things and am advised for additional costs for the service, for a total price of over £1100. I informed the garage to return my car as I was shocked at the cost when my car has never had any issues previously. Funnily enough I took my car for an MOT the next day at my local garage and it passed. The customer service is also a big issue, I tried calling and live chatting multiple times but no one answered or got back regarding my query. Do not use this company!

Servicingstop --- avoid avoid avoid Scammed me with attractive quote and then there was a message with discount if payment is made before collecting the car for mot and servicing. You'll receive a call with huge bill. The proof is that my car dipped beam head lights were fine before leaving my drive way as I've Ring video recorded. But MOT gets failed with replacing this light and charging 45 pounds. This is just example as they have come up with 450 pounds bill. It's a hell reach out to them. No response after that if you want to suggest anything. You will endup with the payment to have the car delivered back. https://www.reviews.co.uk/company-reviews/store/servicing-stop

This company are fraudsters and liars, as mentioned by other dissatisfied customers. They advertise very affordable prices for car servicing and MOT. They then charge vast amounts for extras that probably don't need doing. I recently booked my car for an interim service and MOT for £118. Unbeknown to me, they performed a full service.A list of 14 extra jobs was added and communicated to me on the phone by the agent. The total was next to £900-1000. Needeless to say I was flabbergasted! I only authorised work up to the value of £540, with a repayment plan over 6 months . The garage promptly collected my car and it was returned the next morning. Servicing stops are masters at ripping unsuspecting customers off with unnecessary work and they then charge inflated prices for it to stay in business. In short, avoid this company like the plague.

There is no option to leave 0 stars so 1 it is. The worst service provider ever!!! I'm in a new town and naturally went online to look for garages to have my car MOTed and serviced. My car was picked up yesterday morning then senior sales person, Gary Needham, contacted me in the middle of the day to inform me that it had failed with one of the faults being a fire hazard and could "blow up". I drive an old 2007 vauxhall corsa that has it faults but thought this was an exaggeration. I knew what he was getting at so I asked for the bottom line - total of £746 to fix the main faults. In hindsight, very ridiculous. He offered a monthly payment which I accepted with so much regret now as what I should have done is asked for details of the garage to get my car. My car was returned the next day, I immediately went to garage with Service Stop's invoice that included a charge for "special oil"...I didn't ask for special oil whatever it is. They also clearly overstated and added a few extra nonsense to the invoice. The garage had a laugh because....to be fair, it felt like Service stop was playing a joke on me. It was confirmed that the total cost was no more than £350 including the service and MOT! I now have called my bank to cancel any more payment to this company, changed all my banking details and happy to take this matter to court or anywhere if it comes to it. The moral of the story....DO NOT ENGAGE THESE PEOPLE!!!

This company is another one of those car maintenance companies that lure you in with cheap prices and then sting you with exorbitant repair costs and once they have your vehicle. *** If you don't read any more of this review, read this: DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. Use a local garage instead, who will be more accountable and hopefully not rip you off as much. *** Despite booking a month in advance, when it came to the day they claimed they couldn't fit me in and needed to reschedule to the day after. The day after came and again they couldn't fit me in. It transpired this was because my local garage 2 miles from my house did not have someone who could pick up my car. They agreed to book me in at a different garage to get the work done. They did not effectively communicate to me that this garage was 33 miles from me. I only discovered this the day after they had my car. They gave me a long list of work to be done, a lot of which I am doubtful was required. It was all relayed to me on the telephone in a manner that was too quick for me to properly write down and analyse, and then I was pressured into paying it so I could received my car back by the end of the day. It's now the day after and I'm still waiting for it to be returned. Of the work the did: They replaced two tyres at a combined cost of £420. On the phone when this was mentioned he gave the individual unit price of £210 and made it sound like it was for both. I had recently replaced a tyre myself at a cost of £95. They performed an engine diagnostic for £150. They can't even explain to me why it costs that much to just plug it into a computer. They originally wanted to also replace the front brake pads and discs at a combined cost of over £700 but I asked them not to as I couldn't afford it. I've seen quotes elsewhere for this work and it is closer to £500. Furthermore, they do not have a telephone number to allow you to speak to someone, it is online chat only. So if you have problems like I did, it is very difficult to get adequate help. Please use a local garage instead. Be prepared to pay more up front. It will be worth not getting ripped off later.
