1. The price was inflated with non optional extras after receiving an initial quote. 2. After I booked well in advance for a full service at a price of £143, no one turned up at the appointed time. I was called a half hour after this time and informed someone would attend another 1.5 hours later. Again, at the promised time, no one turned up and no one called me either to explain what was going on. 3. I tried to find a number to contact customer service but they have none. 4. I used the chat feature on their website and was simply told my car could be rebooked another day. No mention of a goodwill gesture for having waited at home all day, only for no one to take the car. When I mentioned a goodwill gesture, it was flat out declined and I was told to contact customer service via email. This company was quick to collect money in a deceiving way (with hidden mandatory costs added at checkout) and then terrible at keeping me posted when they failed to collect. A whole day was wasted waiting for someone to come and they couldn't even offer a small refund as compensation.

If I could give 0 stars I would. This company is a disgrace, over charging for extras that should be included in a full service, and not a small amount we are talking £356 for "special" oil and engine flush. Then £396 for a new coild pack, local garage has now done this for £150. They held the car for another 24 hours as they said I owed them money...disgusting service and company

Do not use Servicing Stop. An absolute scam. They up-sell for problems with your car that does not need doing. Servicing Stop told me I needed brake fluid replacement - even though the garage NEVER even mentioned it to Servicing Stop. I did not get a full service - just an oil change and filter. Servicing Stop should be investigated by BBC Scammers programme. If there was an option to give zero stars, I would.

I wish I had read all these reviews. Fool me once.... I feel totally ripped off and overcharged for services, signed up for a full service and MOT that should have cost 150 pounds and ended up paying over 1000 pounds for service and breaks, plus charges for "special oil", 3% mark up for environmental charges (not passed on to the garage but charged by the company under the auspices of some bs about how they are trying to help the environment). MOT didn't pass on a seatbelt and I was quoted a stupid price to repair that after research proved to be double and not needed. I am so upset about this company and how they are overcharging people and talking them into services they don't really need. They sweet talk you into needing certain services but then you find out they are really only advisory services. And for the services you need to pass the MOT you are charged double and triple! I feel like a fool! If anyone would like to group together to lodge an official complaint, let me know.

Complete rip off. I was massively overcharged for two jobs, one of which I suspect was not even carried out. I am currently looking to take legal action to recover part of the £2k they charged for a 'service' and MOT, fuel injector replacement (don't think they did this) and drive shaft replacement. Don't touch them with a barge pole.

Failed to turn up in the time frame 8.00 to 10.00 allotted today by you 29/08/23. Emails sent requesting update, text message received confirming pick up within the time frame, this has not happened. Responded to text message, respond not delivered. Called the number, response indicated you have tried to contact me, that is a lie. I have no missed calls and no email response. I have requested a refund of my prepayment within the next 24 hours or I will take legal action to recover costs. Noted on the internet a plethora of reviews indicating poor service and excessive charges and indicating potential fraudulent payment requests. ADVICE TO PEOPLE CHECKING REVIEWS DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. Note the questionnaire provided below is not relative to the level of service contracted to provide

Avoid at any cost!!! Used the Service Stop last week as the price for full service was only £108. I've ended with a £630 bill for the work I could have done somewere else for £200. Total scam.

Absolutely horrible ! It is a biggest scam. NEVER EVER USE THEIR SERVICES. We booked their services in a good faith and convenience that someone will collect the car and do the MOT and Services and return the car same day. 1)They charge me for full services in advance and on the day of the collection, they call and say, they only do oil and filter change in the full services. They will not return the money. 2) They write in fine print, if your car needs special oil, they will charge additional 25GBP. They will charge this regardless. They will call you and tell that you car needs special oil. a big lie. 3) They have a massive margin in this. The garage who does the work gets only a fraction of money. So, they first fail the MOT and call you with very scary/threating tone and give you a massive cost to fix the problems. 4) Since our car was with them, we had no choice but to go ahead with the cost as they can intentionally damage the car so you end up with car breakdown on road. 5) THEY WILL FAIL MOT. I spoke to the mechanic and he himself suggested that they only get a fraction of money from the total amount. Servicing stop takes a big cut and hence the massive cost to a small repair. We paid £780 for MOT, service ( only oil + filter change ), break pad, break fluid and Wishbone front arm. This should all cost no more than £275. Instead we paid £780. DO NOT USE THEIR SERVICES.

** AVOID AT ALL COSTS! ** I don't normally leave reviews, but after my experience i feel compelled to tell as many people as possible what utter scam artists they are so you can avoid making the same mistake I did. If I could leave no stars, or even negative ones I would. I fully intend to follow this up with trading standards and take their advice as far as possible. The TLDR: of it all is that they won't let the garage release your car back to you until you've agreed to pay extortionate costs that they have made up based on the garages 'recommendations'. The cost for these recommendations are roughly triple what the garage would charge you if you went directly. I know this because the garage pre-warned me before the service what SS would try to do. SS will even lie about what status your car is in in order for you to agree to said additional costs even when you've liaised directly with the garage and had the contrary confirmed. SS are essentially holding your car to ransom and trying to defraud you on the assumption you're in the dark and don't know better as you're going through a third party and not the garage directly. They'll tell you you need to pay additional for the specialist oil too (when the garage confirms they didn't use it, nor are there extra costs to cover.) Oh, and they'll leave it until late in the day until they call you, lie why that is the case, and then hope that this additional pressure adds to you agreeing to the costs as you desperately hope to get your car back before the garage closes. I cannot state clearly enough that you need to avoid these fraudsters.

Was supposed to have someone come and collect my vehicle for a service I scheduled online and no one turned up! No phone call, no text message or email. Good thing I hadn't paid before they came out otherwise I'd really be cross. Avoid at all costs l, time wasters and scammers as far as I'm concerned!

My car was collected. I was told that the work would cost £1600 to get through the MOT. I declined the work and the garage said they could do it for cash at £550. I still declined and when my car was left without waiting for me to check it , I noticed the milage was down by 120 miles. I complained and was refunded £15 as a good will gesture. Three days later I received a parking ticket in a location that was not the garage but in front of a cafe! I again went to service stop who asked me to pay it then they would refund the money back. Totally incompetent service from start to finish. I have doubts the service on the car was even done. The problem is you just don’t know what type of garages they are using to look after your car . Steer clear of the company and go to a garage yourself so you can see who is looking after your car.

Please, please, please. Do not use Servicing Stop. They have lied and lied and told me the I need to pay extra for everything. Absolute shocker. I have a voice recording of the person and you should listen to this. Please go to your local garage or go to Halfords. You will be much better off.

Stay away! The "service" is just a 101 point check looking for things to add to your bill, and then pressurising you big time to have the extra work done.

I don't have to write a long review as everything written here happened to me. I was quoted an initial price then later that day a phone call came from a man talking very fast so I didn't understand telling me other things needed doing to my car and needed another £411.00. Anti roll bars is what I remember him saying, this is a repair I have had not long ago , and was all checked out as ok. He said my car won't pass it's MOT unless fixed, I asked 3 times, which I found out was a lie. Also, an engine flush, long life oil, I was too distressed to take this all in. I was not informed during the day or rang to ask if I wanted this work to be done I didn't pay this money, it came down to £108 which is still too much but I felt so upset and abused by these people I wanted to just get rid of them. Do not use this service.

Do not use Servicing Stop or you will regret it!!! Do not trust the positive reviews – I’ll tell you why: Servicing Stop make you pay before any work is carried out, and before you can pay, they make you leave a review. More on that to follow. I decided to use Servicing Stop for convenience, and in terms of picking the car up and dropping back it was convenient there, but that’s where the convenience ended. I also chose Servicing Stop due to the advertised price of the service -BIG MISTAKE. I’ve not had a car for nearly 4 years now, so was a bit out of the loop in terms of car servicing and pricing. An hour or so after my car was picked up I got a call from Servicing Stop telling me what needed to be done to the car. The guy mentioned a few things which I knew would cost a lot of money, but added that he was not worried about those things and didn’t ned done right now. He then told me the car needed ‘specialist oil’ which would be extra, a brake fluid change, an engine flush and a new bulb. He said that would cost me £314. He said “that would get the car legal” That didn’t click with me at the time, but the car was already legal having a long MOT left. I was at work at the time, plus being out of the loop re car stuff, so I told them to go ahead. He told me he would send a link to make payment and no work would be carried out until I made payment. Also would I mind leaving them a review. I received the link expecting an itemised bill, what I got was a link to leave a review, and I could not progress to make payment until I clicked to leave a review. Bear in mind – no work has been carried out yet, and I haven’t even seen my bill. So, being at work, I just wanted to get it done. I clicked some stars and only then was I able to view my invoice and pay. {I have since found out that Trust Pilot have been investigating Servicing Stop and have given them a Cease & Desist notice for their review practices. Do not trust any positive Servicing Stop reviews.} This is when I realised that the price quoted on the phone was excluding VAT – which he didn’t tell me about. So my bill ended up being £377.00 for the extra work. The total bill for the service and that tiny bit of work was £500.73 !!! I immediately knew I had been scammed. I got the car back several hours later. When I switched on the engine, the ‘service the vehicle’ light was still on. I was furious and wondered if anything had been done. Emailed them and they gave me the name & address of the garage that did the work – something that according to their website should have given me before any work was done. So I drove to the garage (remember that so-called convenience?) and asked them why the service light was still on. They told me that additional work would need doing and to find out what, an electronic diagnosis scan would need top be done. I asked why it wasn’t done during service. They told me that they had advised Servicing Stop that it should be done, but they said that I had refused it! I told them how much Servicing Stop had charged me and they were totally gobsmacked and they advised that I shouldn’t pay it (they didn’t know that I had already paid) and they said that it should be a fraction of that cost. They said they only get work from them and that’s where their association stops. The guy there, realising I had been scammed then did the diagnosis scan for free for me which would normally be about £40. I had a quote from Halford's – a more thorough service and the work that I was charged for would be £279.98 all in – not £500. DO NOT USE SERVICING STOP, they are Rip-off merchants and scammers!!!

Booked van in for service. Was collected early in the morning, was contacted later by a sales person trying to say that extra work was going to be £800 on top of service charge! Was told would be delivered back by 6pm … van has not been returned yet at 6.30pm! Absolutely no means of contacting them at all. Had to give 1 star to write review but really give no stars as appalling customer service. AVOID AT ALL COSTS WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!!!!

Just a one big scam, you will better off going directly to the service garage. The customer service team think themselves as Jordan Belfort from the wolf of Wall Street selling unnecessary things for your car and even things like oil change and brake fluid should be done with the specialist price it seems. But the are just bunch of people sitting g in the office trying to scam people out there booking a service with them. Made it to the things to avoid places in the UK list.
