It's 9.55pm and I am still waiting for my car to be returned. I have already missed an appointment tonight and will not be able to get to work tomorrow morning unless it is returned. I have visions of it being ragged to death or used in some criminal activity. I have reported it stolen to the police. This is beyond acceptable. I keep wanting to give the benefit of the doubt but everything is pointing to the proverbial wee being taken here. I hope my car is ok. Avoid using these! I feel like a fool.

Shame I couldn't award this company zero stars! Absolutely appalling and shocking service, please DO NOT USE! I actually thought my car had been stolen and I was on my way to the police station as the lack of communication and professionalism seemed dodgy from the start. From some stranger turning up at my house to collect who couldnt provide ID or show proof he was from the company to not getting any updates on the progress of the car service. Then I was told by the chat bot that it would be delivered at 6pm and at 7pm it was no where to be seen and I couldnt get in touch with anyone. I thought the worst and thought that this could be a SCAM company and my lovely range rover was on a cargo ship somewhere! So I head out with my partner to go to the police and here was the same guy who collected the car in the morning outside of the estate, parked up by a road with the bonnet/hood of the car open looking in at past 7pm. I jumped out and asked him what the hell he was doing and he couldnt really answer. He said he was trying to manually turn off a warning light on the dash. I still dont know if anything was done to my car but I have never been so relieved to have it back. Lesson learnt, dont cut corners with dodgy companies and only use reliable sources that you trust!

Failed to show up. Lack of communication - bombarded with emails until I paid in advance, then, - nothing. I’d asked the person on the phone to call me back by 3pm to confirm the car was booked in - nothing. The next morning I was up early for the pickup, however no one turned up and no communication from Servicing Stop. This has left me in the lurch as I won’t be able to go away for the weekend without an MOT. If I’d known, I would have booked elsewhere; but they don’t tell you, they just don’t show up after taking the payment. Also, the quote they first give you had added extras when you actually go to pay. I’ll never use them again. I’d rather give the money to a local business anyway than a bunch of call centre cowboys. If you do use this company, book well in advance and have a backup plan, also, be prepared to have to pay twice if they let you down. I had used them before and was quoted a ridiculous amount for the repairs. I declined and got what was necessary, (NOT everything they added on!!) for literally 1/4 the cost at a reputable local garage. I’d forgotten about that, (it’s my age! 🙄) till I read the reviews here.

Save first, overpay later Wouldn’t recommend using them unless you know your car stuff or want to be a mug like me… I booked an MOT and interim service. The car was picked up as arranged and a few hours later I received a link to the report for the interim service (a list of checked items that were done during the service). A short time later, this was followed by a phone call by one of the service reps from Servicing Stop. In the call I was told that there wasn’t anything major, that my MOT had only failed because of one light bulb (a bulb that, I was told, “doesn’t do anything much other than fail you on your MOT”, which we both laughed about) but that obviously I would need to have that fixed* and surely I wouldn’t want to pay for the MOT again (I did not). I was then told that there were a few suggested works and since I knew I wouldn’t understand the details just asked for the total, which I understood to be about £65 (which may sound low but fit the overall tone of the conversation which was “nothing much to do”). I agreed to that. Imagine my surprise when a few hours later I received my final invoice which wasn’t for £65 or even £650 pounds … but for £790! (*Since then, I looked up the MOT on the official government website and was again surprised that no failed MOT was logged, nothing about a tiny bulb, just a passed MOT with advisories that seem to be in no relation to the work allegedly needed or recommended.) Looking at the details on the invoice I realised all the optional works (beyond the alleged MOT fail and service advisories) were not only majorly overpriced (roughly £400 for items included in a major service by other companies that charge £220 for the entire service!), but apart from the amount I certainly hadn’t been told that it was WITHOUT VAT. And of course, looking at the whole business model, it makes sense to try and coax money out of you once the car is at one of their garages: The garage is chosen centrally and you’re only told after you made your booking – mine was 1.5 hours away, they sent two people and one of their cars, between the petrol and their time alone my initial payment would probably have been used up before they ever got to the services I paid for, let alone any profit for the garage or Servicing Stop. Furthermore, most of the communication throughout the whole process is through automated system messages and done online, notably NOT the step where you are told about and asked to agree to more work. Why not send a link to a form where you can check and uncheck options? Everything else is done that way … But, of course, then people would have time to think and not feel like they have to make a decision on the spot like I did. I begrudgingly paid the invoice to get my car back, got a call from the garage shortly after saying their driver wasn’t available anymore that evening (no problem), and then the next day – radio silence. After midday, I emailed Servicing Stop to ask where my car war – radio silence. A bit later I used their online chat system and was told the car would be back that evening. No calls, no messages, finally just someone at 9pm knocking on my door handing me back my keys. Seriously – don’t use them. It might work out for you if you’re car-savvy – the upfront costs are low and they seem to make more dates available than other MOT services (in fact, I only booked with them this time because none of the garages in my town could have done my MOT before it was due). But if you’re like me and your yearly MOT is already a source of trepidation and anxiety, learn from my mistakes and STAY AWAY.

Would never use again. Used as I needed my service/MOT done at short notice & they offered the convenience of collecting the car from home, and the basic price was very reasonable. The car was collected & I was told I'd get a call later that day with updates/an eta & the car would be returned "within 24 hours". When no call came I tried calling the company repeatedly with no reply. I emailed requesting an update. With nothing by the end of the day I contacted the mobile of the man who collected the car - he didn't know what was happening. Late the following day I finally got an update from Servicing Stop saying they'd had "system problems", but by car would be done imminently. There was no further contact for another day when they again blamed "System problems". They said the car needed new brake pads (work still had to be done!), but it would "feel like a new car upon return"! The price for work was obscene! It was yet another day before the car was returned. It's true, it did feel like a different car... it felt like the brakes had been put on backwards!! The car juddered an insane amount at the slightest touch of the brakes! Rather than take it back to them or their chosen garage (which I wasn't able to find out until after the car was returned with an advertising flyer), the lesser evil was to take it somewhere else for correction. (The comment from the new garage was "which cowboy fitted these!!) No, I wouldn't touch Servicing Stop again. Poor service, poor work, poor communication.

Twice cancelled booking on day of service. I would not trust this firm to organise anything and if they now think they would ever get their hands on my car they are very much mistaken. A really shoddy experience with this useless firm. Do not make the mistake of using these incompetents.

DO NOT USE this service. They had the car for 2 full days with no communication and when you call its impossible to get through. Car returned with 18 miles extra on the clock. The garage is less than a mile from my home! Also had £20.00 vat added for collection and delivery when it suppose to be free!

AVOID AT ANY COST. I have booked my car for a service and MOT , despite reading the bad reviews. To start with they have changed my booked date to the next day. Car collection was on time on the day. Later on the day I have received a call from the customer service. He said that my MOT has failed because of light failure and they charge £27.00 for each light, I have told them that I will do it outside and he has advised me to upgrade my oil to fully synthetic for£30.00 , which I have refused and he has agreed to return my car. After 5 minutes I have received a text to pay extra £29.99 for the oil upgrade, which I have never agreed to do. I was trying to contact them since then. Only 2 option to contact the customer service is online chat or only one phone number. Phone line is always busy, I have tried more than hundred times. The chat room is very busy too, after waiting on the que for more than 30 minutes the page will refresh and send you back on the que. I have send them emails , which has never replied. Worst customer service ever experienced. Be careful, once they have your car, no reply or nothing. I am really stuck at this moment. Try to avoid this company at any cost.. SCAMMERS.........

Where to begin .... I travel 600 miles a week as a Mental Health Practitioner and so the convenience of a service like this, I thought would be great as I wouldnt need to use my rest days to sort my car out. I logged on to the 60% off service deal and prepaid upfront ( huge mistake ) for the full service on my Nissan Juke. I was quoted £91.00 and received messages that they would contact me the evening before the service ( 15/10/ or on the morning of the service 16/10 . I waited until 0930 this morning and no phone call and the only way to contact them is via chat facility. After nearly an hour my query was acknolwedged - why was my car not collected .... during the time of waiting on a response I found myself researching the company ( why didnt I do it first ?) and yes i would expect a couple of disgruntled customers but not the extent to what I was reading !! So I then went onto other review sites and found Trading Standards/Watchdog were already on to them. So armed with this information - i let them know that using my rights under Part 1 Chapter 2 of the Consumer Rights Act 2015 , i wanted a full refund. No explanations or nothing as to why the company had contacted me and they did send me an email to say i will receive a full refund in 10 days ... watch this space !

My car went for a regular service but was not returned in the evening as expected. Their T & Cs show if there is a delay they’ll let you know…which would have been fine. But I heard nothing - no update, no email, no phone call. Car didn’t end up coming back until mid-morning the next day. As there is no-one to call after 6pm, I had no idea where my car was or who had it. I was tempted to report it stolen but waited until the chat opened at 0800 (they’re very cagey about giving out a phone number so I was forced to do online chat). They confirmed they still had the car but no information as to when it would be returned until it was actually dropped off. If only they’d let me know, it could have avoided lots of issues on my part. To top it off, when the car came back, the log book had been signed & stamped with an Interim Service, not a Full service as I booked and paid for - you’d expect the garage to know what type of service was done. Servicing Stop say that a Full service was done but who knows…they sent no further details. When I fed everything back to them, their very brief response was a further example of bad customer service. A sorry for the delay and have £20 as a goodwill gesture. That was a month ago and still waiting…they ignore my emails. Disappointing to say the least.

Servicestop SCAM On the internet Servisingstop, Servisingstop.co.uk, advertises a special deal of up to 60% of car service and MOT. It even gives you the option to enter your car details and get a quote. Like many others I entered my car details and got a quote of £132.94 for service and MOT. Having had the car serviced and MOT they are billing me £466.52. Until I pay I don’t have a car nor do I have house keys because they are with the car key. I never removed them has the car was being take and delivered back the same day. Don’t go near them.

Please avoid this dodgy company. I saw them online and hope they will provide good service. The fact that they will pick up your car from home was so good and convenient for me. They said online that the service would be £95 however, they will call if there are other issues. They told me that there are other issues apart from full services and I agreed to repair the car. they gave me a quote of 800+ however they put me through to payment assistance which couldn't go through for some reasons. Fine, they were calling me every minute to pay the money so that the car can be repaired and returned to me. Initially, someone called Aki was dealing with me and giving me feedback. He advised me to repair the important things in the car and I can do the rest later. I was told to pay £609 which I didn't hesitate. I actually borrowed half of the money from my colleague to get the car out from the garage. I thought they will do a good job for me. However, when they brought back the car it was raining the idiot that drove the car to me decided not to wined up the mirror of the car and all my passenger seat was damn wet. I was so angry that all my trousers were wet. He didn't even apologise for it. Rather, he said I should call the company to do what? the next day, I took the car out to work but to my surprise there was an annoying noise coming from the car. The car is shaking, stopping, jerking. Giving signs on the dashboard. I have been calling their no but always busy. I have sent several emails but no acknowledgment. I went on the live chart I was no 10 later put me back to the end of the queue 20. I was there and decided not to leave the chart so that someone can attend to me. I was surprised that I was no 2 and they closed at 6.00. Aki told me I have a 1-year guarantee at least someone should pick up the phone. The number of emails I have sent to this company is more than 20. I also regretted not reading the review on this company/ service. Please is either your refund part of my money or I destroy the reputation of your company. you cannot get them on any of their communication channels. They are fraudsters and fake company squeezing money out of people. PLEASE PAY ME BACK MY MONEY. You did nothing to my car than spoiled it. Hope someone will get back to me.

My Mum's car was put in for an MOT and Service. All fine until a phone call about a non-existent engine diagnostic fail, still being told the same story after questioning if it was wrong and a scam. An invoice was sent over with an incorrect job on, only changed later once a family member looked over and realised the mistake. Almost a 2 week wait for a response. Overall a truly terrible experience, feels like they took advantage of an older lady and would not use again.

In a rush, i made a big mistake not checking online reviews first. You book a 'full service' online, but it doesn't actually include the necessary steps to carry out a full service (like changing the oil !!), it's essentially just a 'spot check' and you have to pay extra after they have your car. Massively inflated prices and the guy on the phone was well trained in the subtle, scripted art of applying pressure with wording, you could tell a mile off that they try to pressure you into compliance, almost trying to hold you to ransom. Couldn't wait to get the car back to go local (Servicing Stop took the car to a garage miles away, in a different town!). Never again and the sooner these scam artists go bust, the better for everyone. Lesson learned. Avoid like the plague.

Extortionate price quoted for MOT pass work that "needs" doing. Went to another garage for a quote, 3 (!!!) times less! We're talking small change away from £1.5k!!! "Advisor" tried to shout me down on the phone for daring to question and contradict those prices. Absolutely atrocious 😞

The same as everyone on here!! Please do not use this company unless you stick to a service or MOT.. Do not be taken in by the service advisor ringing you, reeling off “essential” work needs carrying which will cost x amount then saying we can do the essential work now then book in for the rest!! This essential work turns out to be specialist oil, brake fluid & engine flush at a very extortionate price! You cannot contact anyone only by email, the service advisor won’t answer the phone & there is no other number to call! My car was gone for 2 days and not one phone call to update me! I have complained and was offered a £20 refund! They mislead you with information, ask you to pay the fee (which you think is for the essential work) then they can release your car!! I am emailing but getting nowhere so will now contact trading standards… wish I had read these reviews before I booked it!
