Awful experience. Held to ransom by company. A £120 service became more than £350 as they added extras we did not want. When we told them we would not pay for something we did not request we were told "we will not release your car until you have paid". Childish and arrogant customer service as they knew they had us over a barrel - criminal behaviour.

As listed in many other reviews, it feels as though this is a business that relies on up-selling at an alarming mark up. Sent my car for a service and MOT, the quoted price for additional work was near £800, even on existing cars I have physically ran into the ground I have never had such a large bill, particularly as I now work from home and use my car very little - wear and tear seems very unlikely. Interestingly after removing all unnecessary work my bill comes to £300 so quite a difference up at a moments notice, but still expensive to just get my car through MOT . It is helpful they pick up and drop off your car, but I’ve found this a poor experience and the business untrustworthy - take it to a garage yourself.

Do not use this company please do not let the 60% off fool you as once you pay online they add more to it so you end up paying alot more than you think. I paid online and they simply did not bother turning up to collect my vehicle so I cancelled the service and they tell you it takes 14 days to transfer the money back into your account!!!! Why 14 days when they expect payment for the service up front. Am still waiting 9 days after I cancelled so this will be very interesting. Please do not use these. SCAM!!!!!!

This company is legit, but is probably bordering on a scam, and we potentially caught them lying. Attractive initial prices draw you in to paying at least a 200% mark up vs other garages. I'm also 90% sure that they lied to me about when work was completed after they sent me an email saying that I had approved work before they even spoke to me. I booked my motorhome in for it's annual service and MOT and found the initial offer attractive. I knew that extra work was needed and that brake pads needed replacing for the MOT. The van was picked up bang on time, initial communication was good. All good. At around 5.40pm I then got a phone call from somebody at service stop. Simultaneously I also received 4 emails. The gentleman on the phone proceeded to list lots of problems - referring to said emails - mainly problems that they were not going to do anything about out of the kindness of their heart. Whilst listening to this extensive list I was trying to read the reports on the emails - which didn't exist when I clicked on them. I then received two further emails which I was told to look at instead of the emails already sent. These contained a quote for repairs that did need doing. I was staggered at a price of £1700. Bewildered by all of the information (I believe that this was a sales tactic) i eventually caved and said 'I guess i'll have to.' Within 1 minute of hanging up I realised that two of the earlier emails I had been led away from said that I had approved work ... this was before i'd even seen the price. I checked the MOT - this had passed despite the fact that I knew the brakes wouldn't, and none of the extra work mentioned was showing on the advisories, and none of the advisories had been mentioned to me. I tried to ring back straight away - turns out they have no mechanism for speaking to them directly. This I believe is another sales tactic. I quickly rang another local garage to ask for their views on the cost and was informed that changing brake pads should cost £100-£130, not the £300 quoted. I rang another garage who said the same. With three separate garages telling me that they would carry out the work for £600-£650, I began trying to contact servicingstop in earnest. The website doesn't display a phone number. The live chat function doesn't get through to a person. I sent multiple emails, used the resolver app to raise a complaint - there was no way through despite 3-4 hours of trying. Next morning at 8am I began again. The phone number i found online simply went to a message telling you to check the FAQ's and use live chat. Live chat went nowhere. Eventually after multiple emails, I got a phone call at 8.45am. The person I spoke to informed me that 1)the work was more expensive because they do it properly and don't cut corners (more labour hours) and that work was almost finished on my van so it was too late. This is where I have my major problem. It seems to me that those two things are mutually exclusive. IF they do jobs properly and therefore need more labour hours which justifies the huge mark up on their prices, then how has work been completed by 8.30am the next day, when they close overnight? If that is true, then either they have overcharged significantly on labour because it didn't take at all long, they had already started work before my permission (remember I received my approval before giving approval, and this could explain passing the MOT despite needing work) or they were lying and work hadn't yet finished (I didn't get my van back until 6pm that day). There are no alternative options to explain this - and I will never know which it was. TO be fair, they did give me a couple of hundred discount - but this still leaves me paying double the going rate. Overall, my experience of this company was poor. They appear legitimate, and technically didn't do anything wrong as I gave my permission over the phone. However, their sales tactics, customer care, and general operation is questionable. I will certainly be avoiding in future.

I have spoken to Gary on multiple occasions, most recently at approximately 5.45pm on 31/05/2023, before I had the opportunity to speak directly with the independent garage and ascertain the actual cost of the works. During our conversation, Gary assured me, "we are just charging you what the garage charges us, I have no reason to lie to you or to try and pull the wool over your eyes." In this case, specifically, Gary has tried to get me to pay for a light bulb replacement at circa £110.00, while the garage has confirmed that they informed your organisation that this item was £25.00. Upon discovering the significant price difference between the independent garage's overall quote for all works of approximately £700.00 and the inflated amount of almost £1,900.00 demanded by Servicing Stop Ltd, it has become apparent that Gary's statement was both underhanded and an outright lie. Such deceptive practices not only breach consumer protection and rights legislation but also undermine trust and confidence in your organisation, as demonstrated by the numerous negative reviews online that refer to Gary in particular, but also your practices as a whole. Furthermore, upon conducting this research on independent review platforms such as Reviews.io and TrustPilot, it is glaringly obvious that Servicing Stop Ltd has a history of employing deceitful and underhanded practices to extract excessive amounts of money from customers. Numerous reviewers consistently mention the addition of unnecessary services, many of which I recognise from my own case with you, falsely claimed to be required for passing the MOT. This recurrent practice, whether mandated by your organisation or carried out by your representatives independently, misleads customers and coerces them into spending more money than necessary. These practices are both ethically questionable and violate consumer protection laws. As a concerned consumer, I am troubled by the fact that Servicing Stop Ltd engages in questionable tactics, which compromise the supposed integrity of the services you claim to provide. The significant increase of over 170% in the charges compared to the prices submitted to you by the independent garage. raises serious concerns about your practices. I insist on an immediate explanation for the vast difference between the prices quoted by the garage and the charges imposed by your organisation. Considering that you already charge the garage a 15% administrative fee and also profit from their services; I find it outrageous that as merely the intermediary between me, the client, and the service provider (the garage), you impose both the 15% admin fee on the garage and over 170% price markup on me. I would argue this is excessive and unjustifiable, especially as I was explicitly told that you only pass on to me the price the garage submits to you. Overall, the level of service provided by Servicing Stop Ltd has been abysmal, exacerbated by the shock of discovering the price markups and questionable practices employed by the company. Failure to address these concerns in a satisfactory manner will leave me with no choice but to proceed with reporting this matter to Trading Standards, the Competition and Markets Authority (CMA), and the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA). These regulatory bodies exist to safeguard consumer rights and ensure fair business practices within the UK. I believe that the pricing practices employed by Servicing Stop Ltd, coupled with the deceptive behaviour of your representatives, constitute a violation of these regulations, particularly where I have been misled to take out a credit agreement for a large amount of money which is not reflective of the actual works carried out. I am reaching out to both your local Member of Parliament (MP), Mr. Bambos Charalambous, and mine, Mr. Peter Bone, in order to emphasise my concerns and seek their guidance and support regarding the issues of unethical practices and consumer exploitation.

ABSOLUTELY DISCUSTING If I was able to give one star, I absolutely would, after cancelling 2 bookings, taking my money and not contacting me I took it upon myself to contact the garage that I was supposed to be booked in for. I arranged with the garage for my car to be collected, they collected the car and within 2 hours service stop called me and stated that my bill was 1462£, I only wanted a service!!!!!! They reeled off a huge list of items which I new was rubbish, when I went to the garage to collect my car I was informed by the garage that they had some RECOMMENDATIONS and they amounted to 420£ therefore service stop attempted to add over 1000£ onto the bill!!!! I was charged by service stop for "SPECIALIST OIL", A "DISPOSAL FEE" and a "CARBON FLUSH" all of which the garage DID NOT perform, absolute rip off. I paid 128£ the first time round - still waiting for refund and a further 220£ for a service when all the garage did was look around the car and change the oil (service stops guidlines). This company should NOT be trading, they exploit their customers and take advantage. Awful service, awful communication, awful company.

Stay away you have been warned. Want extra 25 quid for special oil as they did not quote for this oil for a Vauxhall 1.4 Mirva with standard motor - when I booked a oil change and service. What did they think Oil Change and Service meant if they did not include the price of the oil????

SCAM...… They need locking up! (Service Stop Rugby) They said my car had failed its MOT and it would cost £800 to fix. Refused to bring the car back "as was unsafe to drive". Eventually they brought it back the next day (I missed work because of this). I took my car to another garage. It cost £60 to get it through the MOT, the garage told me that the other faults they had flagged were all made up. A guy called Gary had originally called me trying to tell me that it was ok because I could pay £150 month instead of paying £800 upfront, he kept saying that he does not see what my problem was whilst holding me to ransom by refusing to bring my car back.

Do not let this business near your vehicle. Paid for a service and was informed more work was required. After finally locating my vehicle to some shabby back street premises and collecting it myself I discover the work I had paid for had not been done. Avoid Servicing stop and find a reputable garage. Believe me it will cost you a lot less and the work you pay for will actually be done.

appalling service, recommended lots of unnecessary work which they tried to convince me was needed when it had already passed the mot they later admitted. also the works they quoted I got quotes from five other garages telling me two of the things were absolutely not needed on a car thats only done 20000 miles and the other works I have five quotes all at a quarter of the price I was going to be charged if I let them do the work which I didnt as I wasn't gullible enough thankfully . they pull you in by offering cheap service and mot then rip you off by lying about what needs doing and charging over the top prices if you let them do the work DO NOT USE

Do not let these people touch your car - I have been battling with this company since January !!!! My car went for a service and within a few days my car had nothing but problems, then my engine completely seized ! My car was a brilliant runner before hand. Disgraceful service - Michael was working with me or atleast pretended he was going to help resolve what had happened , but now iv been ghosted for the last two weeks! I am now taking up a court case to get back what’s rightfully mine - but take my advice , stay away - this company is a third party so when something goes wrong they don’t like to take any responsibility. The garage that serviced my car was called PDL mots and repairs - they did a shocking service and couldn’t even be bothered to fill my service book out correctly , many things were wrong and not done correctly Oh and if think you will be saving Money you definitely won’t be. They will over charge you - take my advice and and use your local garage !!!! I wish I had done

My problem is, I didn't read the reviews below before I used this awful company. A friend told me about the bad reviews online so I when I found out which h garage they took my car to, I phoned ahead and said I didn't want any extra charges. My friend works at a Ford garage over 50 miles from where i live and warned me they would phone me to tell me my car would need an engine flush, brake fluid etc. OMG, he was right. A very rude Gary phoned and told me i needed both these items and spark plugs. I tried to stop him there as i wasn't falling for their rubbish. How rude Gary was though, he told me they wouldnt stamp my service book and I wouldn't get my car back as there was no oil in it because they also wanted me to pay extra 24.99 for oil. Also he mentioned i couldnt drive the car because of safety checks or something, but by then i had heard enough rubbish from him told him I was the customer and I wanted my car back and i would report it stolen to the police if i didnt get it back. Luckily they chose a good and honest garage to take my car to (as they don't have their own garages). The MOT went through no problem and there are no issues with it. I dont know hiw on earth Deborah Meadon of Dragons Den can be associated with these people. These people are con men, don't use them, you have been warned by so many below including me. Sorry for the long message

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY, THEY WILL DAMAGE YOUR CAR - I used these people to get my car serviced and MOT they picked up my car and returned it (after passing the MOT) with a flat tire, when I complained I was advise tires are not under warranty and can go flat at any point even though they just returned it with a flat tire, it took me 4 hours trying to get through on live chat to be told this, yes I'm bitter as now I have to pay for a tire repair caused by the garage they used with no remose from this company,

Avoid at all costs. They told me I needed to have my front brake pads and discs replaced..and wanted to charge me £589! The Peugeot main dealer gave me a quote of £239 for the identical work. What a complete rip off by Servicing Stop..the parts cost no more than £60-70 and it only take 1-1.5 hrs maximum labour to change both brakes. They are a complete rip off. If I had the time, I'd report them to Trading Standards.

Avoid Avoid. They took money for a service to collect the car the following day. Nothing !!!!! Waited but nobody turned up. Managed to track down the garage that was supposed to carry out the work. Rang them... WE HAVE CANCELLED THE JOB. CANNOT SOURCE THE PARTS. What rubbish !!! They just cancelled without telling me. After demanding a full refund I have now been told I will have to wait 14 working days for it. BIG CON...AVOID

Terrible company and modern day con artists. Should be closed down for fraud. They make up non existent issues with your car, charge through the roof with very rude and pushy sales guys pretty much saying you won't get your car back or won't get the service book stamped without it being done and then they dont even carry out the work or stamp your service book. How can a company get away with this for so long and to so many people and still be allowed to trade?
