“SCAM...… They need locking up! (Service Stop Rugby) They said my car had failed its MOT and it would cost £800 to fix. Refused to bring the car back "as was unsafe to drive". Eventually they brought it back the next day (I missed work because of this). I took my car to another garage. It cost £60 to get it through the MOT, the garage told me that the other faults they had flagged were all made up. A guy called Gary had originally called me trying to tell me that it was ok because I could pay £150 month instead of paying £800 upfront, he kept saying that he does not see what my problem was whilst holding me to ransom by refusing to bring my car back.”

“Please, DO NOT USE TJIS SERVICE. Contact local garages. NOT TRANSPARENT!! They didn’t inform me the car had to stay in the garage for the weekend and OVER charged me (600 pounds) . Some of the work wasn’t finished and they will only refund me 70 pounds, which they haven’t done yet and hung up the phone on me. You can’t call them, they call you if u email and wait. REAL SCAM!!!”

“Do Not Send Your Vehicle To 1 Car Service located at Auto City Sin Min. Crazy mark- up of fees/ charges like 400% above other car workshop's labour charges. Dishonest mechanic and pretentious/ arrogant shop boss whom thinks all car owners are all morons.”

“Do not let this business near your vehicle. Paid for a service and was informed more work was required. After finally locating my vehicle to some shabby back street premises and collecting it myself I discover the work I had paid for had not been done. Avoid Servicing stop and find a reputable garage. Believe me it will cost you a lot less and the work you pay for will actually be done.”

“appalling service, recommended lots of unnecessary work which they tried to convince me was needed when it had already passed the mot they later admitted. also the works they quoted I got quotes from five other garages telling me two of the things were absolutely not needed on a car thats only done 20000 miles and the other works I have five quotes all at a quarter of the price I was going to be charged if I let them do the work which I didnt as I wasn't gullible enough thankfully . they pull you in by offering cheap service and mot then rip you off by lying about what needs doing and charging over the top prices if you let them do the work DO NOT USE”

“Do not let these people touch your car - I have been battling with this company since January !!!! My car went for a service and within a few days my car had nothing but problems, then my engine completely seized ! My car was a brilliant runner before hand. Disgraceful service - Michael was working with me or atleast pretended he was going to help resolve what had happened , but now iv been ghosted for the last two weeks! I am now taking up a court case to get back what’s rightfully mine - but take my advice , stay away - this company is a third party so when something goes wrong they don’t like to take any responsibility. The garage that serviced my car was called PDL mots and repairs - they did a shocking service and couldn’t even be bothered to fill my service book out correctly , many things were wrong and not done correctly Oh and if think you will be saving Money you definitely won’t be. They will over charge you - take my advice and and use your local garage !!!! I wish I had done”

“My problem is, I didn't read the reviews below before I used this awful company. A friend told me about the bad reviews online so I when I found out which h garage they took my car to, I phoned ahead and said I didn't want any extra charges. My friend works at a Ford garage over 50 miles from where i live and warned me they would phone me to tell me my car would need an engine flush, brake fluid etc. OMG, he was right. A very rude Gary phoned and told me i needed both these items and spark plugs. I tried to stop him there as i wasn't falling for their rubbish. How rude Gary was though, he told me they wouldnt stamp my service book and I wouldn't get my car back as there was no oil in it because they also wanted me to pay extra 24.99 for oil. Also he mentioned i couldnt drive the car because of safety checks or something, but by then i had heard enough rubbish from him told him I was the customer and I wanted my car back and i would report it stolen to the police if i didnt get it back. Luckily they chose a good and honest garage to take my car to (as they don't have their own garages). The MOT went through no problem and there are no issues with it. I dont know hiw on earth Deborah Meadon of Dragons Den can be associated with these people. These people are con men, don't use them, you have been warned by so many below including me. Sorry for the long message”

“All I can say is DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY picked the car up heard nothing for days then all of a sudden phone calls needs work done but it’s going to cost 2000 pounds and then heard nothing again then we found number for garage told them we wanted our car back got it back after paying the bill with missing parts of the car but garage has said we will not send the car back like that but GUESS what you did send the car back like it so to everyone DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE”

“DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY, THEY WILL DAMAGE YOUR CAR - I used these people to get my car serviced and MOT they picked up my car and returned it (after passing the MOT) with a flat tire, when I complained I was advise tires are not under warranty and can go flat at any point even though they just returned it with a flat tire, it took me 4 hours trying to get through on live chat to be told this, yes I'm bitter as now I have to pay for a tire repair caused by the garage they used with no remose from this company,”

“Avoid at all costs. They told me I needed to have my front brake pads and discs replaced..and wanted to charge me £589! The Peugeot main dealer gave me a quote of £239 for the identical work. What a complete rip off by Servicing Stop..the parts cost no more than £60-70 and it only take 1-1.5 hrs maximum labour to change both brakes. They are a complete rip off. If I had the time, I'd report them to Trading Standards.”

“Avoid Avoid. They took money for a service to collect the car the following day. Nothing !!!!! Waited but nobody turned up. Managed to track down the garage that was supposed to carry out the work. Rang them... WE HAVE CANCELLED THE JOB. CANNOT SOURCE THE PARTS. What rubbish !!! They just cancelled without telling me. After demanding a full refund I have now been told I will have to wait 14 working days for it. BIG CON...AVOID”

“Terrible company and modern day con artists. Should be closed down for fraud. They make up non existent issues with your car, charge through the roof with very rude and pushy sales guys pretty much saying you won't get your car back or won't get the service book stamped without it being done and then they dont even carry out the work or stamp your service book. How can a company get away with this for so long and to so many people and still be allowed to trade?”

“I had my car serviced here a while ago & an email service reminder has promted/reminded me to leave a review. I was Quoted and paid £120 for service & MOT. Received an email stating my car was ready for collection with an Invoice for £440. For starters the guy that collected my car had only just left my house about 30 minutes prior the garage was about 25 minutes away, so they managed to do the service & MOT in 5 minutes! Service Stop claimed my car which was only 3 years old needed an engine Flush and Fuel Jet Clean in line with Nissans recommended period. £55 each. I phoned Nissan who didn't recommend doing this until 50,000 miles and my car had 19,000 on. They also said Brake Fluid was contaminated £77 charge. There was a £66 charge for Anti Freeze Change and £30 for a special Oil. I told them I didn't want any work doing after speaking to Nissan, they said that's fine but special Oil has been used and I need to pay an extra £30. I spoke to Nissan again and they advised my car didn't use the Oil they quoted. Servicing stop refused to release my car unless I paid the extra. I found out which garage they used and Iwent down to the garage. I spoke to the owner who confirmed the car didn't need anything doing which they quoted, no engine flush, no fuel line clean, Brake Fluid wasn't contaminated and he said looked fine. (Was only changed 12 months prior). Anti Freeze wasn't extra was included in the service and he had used standard oil included in the price. He told me not to use Servicingstop again and to come direct as there Is always problems. I confirmed I had paid the original £120 and he gave me my car back. RIP OFF COMPANY AND SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN! AVOID!”

“I find myself being ripped off. Once the car was collected I received a call and they listed a number of things mostly common what others are also saying that has to be done for an unreasonable price. My car is still held as I haven't yet paid.”

“Very poor. Unable to contact ServicingStop by phone, only email and they take 14 days to reply. If you have a modern mini or BMW do NOT have it serviced here. Their garages cannot reset the dashboard service indicator light and every time you start your car it tells you that a service is required immediately. They also did extra work I didn’t ask for and would not release the car until I had paid. You cannot argue with a computer so the only way was to pay to get it released.”
