Fantastic service from Witney team today. They really need some praise. I went in for basic advice and spectacle adjustment and they were all helpful, keen, clear and supportive. Sorry the lady was great. Maybe it's me but I could some days flush the thingm. When I got it I was over the moon. Now it's driving me up the wall. I can hear.OK but I have an echo so some things send my head bouncing. The telephone is impossible. In shops I get all the light fittings and every one conversation but the one opposite I can not hear it's become some day I could just stamp on it. I also have long hair and the whole thing falls out regularly. I won't have to stamp on it soon it will fall off in the loo and I'll flush it.

Room for improvement/training. Had an eye test and ordered varifocals from the Fordhouses store in Wolverhampton. When i came to collect them the reading area was far too low. Saw a gentleman who explained the issue and remade them. I was pleased so ordered another pair which the same gentleman sorted for me. 3 stars as i had to come back 2/3 times and none of the other staff knew what to do. I think its inconvenient to visit multiple times before you can speak to someone who knows what they’re doing

The Gosport Branch were extremely helpful. BUT Head Office was NOT. I was referred 15/12/2023. Was told to contact if I had not heard by 8.2.24. ‘Phoned 9.2.24, told was not on waiting list. Was assured that I would be on next waiting list on 11 May and would be contacted. I was not. Rang again. Was assured the Branch would be contacted that day. I visited Gosport Branch same day and they kindly booked me in a private slot on 21 May for NHS appt. Head Office had not contacted them. The Branch were brilliant and sympathetic and said they were always having this problem with Head Office and that they would contact them. Hence my 3 star rating which you will probably ignore and not publish.

Great service - friendly staff. However. Glasses were overpriced. £69 for frames and £69 extra for lenses. Same frames with lenses at specsavers for £50 which we bought as a second pair. Although staff are great, Sadly won’t be returning to Scrivens.

After a few days of using my new aids i requested that the volume be adjusted, l was somewhat surprised to be told by the receptionist that any adjustment could only be actioned after wearing them for 8 weeks. I explained that i had to turn down the aids by 4 notches to obtain an acceptable level of speech. Volume is much too high and gave me headaches after just a few minutes. Volume is not my main problem, it is clarity of speech !! My previous aids when switched to restaurant mode considerably reduced background noises so that group speech was possible. My new aids when switched to restaurant mode just increases the volume of everything !!! Needless to say l am not over impressed with the delay in service or indeed the new aids themselves.

Unfortunately I have not had a very good experience with the Witney branch. I have been a customer for many years but in recent times the standard of service has dropped significantly. Cancelled appointments and incorrect lenses in new spectacles. My husband is due for an eye test but I will not be recommending him to purchase his new spectacles from Scrivens. Such as shame, after being a loyal customer for many years.

Not very happy. The eye test itself was good, but the optician failed to sign the prescription and I'm having an awful time getting a signed replacement with the staff seeming unwilling to take what I consider to be simple and reasonable steps to provide me with one. Almost a week later and I'm still waiting.....last time I phoned them they said it was because they'd run out of stamps! Unbelievable!

My wife and myself have been customers of your Wallasey Branch for a number of years now and have nothing but praise and good words to say about the staff at that branch each and every one.from manager down. My complaint and critisism lies up the command chain when dealing with repairs out of bramch and warranty dealings. Your consideration and dealing with my issues from day one on problems with very expensive hearing aids for both myself in particular and lately my wifes hearing aids has been far below the standard and service anyone would accept. From day one of purchase my HAs have not been suitable or worked as I had hoped. They have broken in the same place twice, unkown as to why, sending off for repair takes forever to complete and get returned. During the whole period of problems the warranty expired and I am now told that the costs must be paid for by me to solve the problems❓ The same has happened to my wife, one aid is broken and has gone for repair. Now we are told warranty has expired and costs will be around £190 for the repair. This despite being informed the warranty was still valid by the audiologist. Who again has been really helpful. Having spent several £ thousands. Trying to get hearing aids as needed and basically having more issues than not having hearing aids in, is utterly unacceptable. Your customer service leaves lots to question I am sorry to say. How do unsuitable hearing aids from day one run out of warranty if they have not had a remedy found to cure the issues. That us similar to buying a Rolls Royce and for years having problems then being informed your warranty had expired please pay for any other repairs or solutions!!! Also how does one department infom that a warranty is still valid and head office refuse to do the repair as warranty is not valid❓ At the moment my wife has use of one hearing aid which now fails to hold a charge longer than a few hours. The other is still away refusing to be repaired unless paid for!! I do not wear either of my aids as they are not acceptablble for use for me and after what they cost I refuse to be charged again over warranty issues. I am really disappointed writing this review as sadly it is not a local branch issue but purely down to head office/customer care issues.

I found the person that saw to me . Was not interested in what I had to ask talked to me as if I was an idiot in over a year l have been there only twice. Nothing wrong with aids . Thought there would be a follow up to check the hearing aid does not want to be turned up as people get older hearing loss is important to us.

My problem was not with vision but most of the test was done for vision. When booked it was like 10pounds after consultation 30 pounds. Just paid for nothing.

Eye test 20/6, first pair couldn't read , second pair scratched. Still waiting for these to be replaced. Not impressed or happy with service.

I have been very pleased with my hearing aids from Scrivens fitted a year ago. A friend asked me if they gave me good hearing good i said they are that good i can hear what people are thinking.

My criticism is not of my local branch (Palmers Green), which is fine, but of your website. I have just tried to book an earwax removal appointment; I know my local branch do them as the told me so just a couple of weeks ago. There is no way to do it. I'll have to ring them - or I may just go to Specsavers instead.

The in store service was very good, all staff polite and helpful. the problem I've had is trying to get a copy of my prescription. I contacted you on the 24/10/22 about a copy of my prescription, I had a phone call mid November and was told you can't email it as "its a security risk!!", so was agreed to be sent by post. I contacted on the 7/12/22 that nothing had arrived to which I've had no reoly todate. It is now 06/02/23 coming upto 4 months to get a copy of my prescritpion, absoloutly astonishing!!!!!

I recently had hearing aids from Scrivens and they have changed my life as I can hear again .The Lady who sorted my problems out was brilliant couldn't do enough for me so Thank you to all at Scrivens in Fleetwood
