“Was refered by NHS to Scrivens to supply replacement hearing aid, Was not contacted by Scrivens telling me this and it was only after 5 weeks and a return visit to my doctor for an update an appointment was arranged. Was told the ear moulds would be ready in 2 to 4 weeks. Its now 8 weeks later and still no sign of them.”

“I was informed by a friend that scrivens did nhs ear testing at Davyhulme medical centre so I booked an appointment.I could not believe the service I received David was so informative and very professional I was hard of hearing and came out of the appointment with 2 hearing aids all set up!! Could hear the birds which was emotional 🤣.I was seen within 2 weeks and the appt took an hour and was local to me. He even told me how to download the hearing app to my phone I love being able to adjust the volume discretely . Just so impressed with the service I received.”

“Very friendly and attentive staff, made the time to help me choose my frames with lots of advice, which I've not had in the past with other well known optictions. Very good value for money. Can't wait to receive my new glasses. Thankyou Scrivens.”

“Awesome experience! We visited Feltham branch. Emma and Dipesh were very helpful, caring and very knowledgeable. Quality of service is much more better than other high street opticians. I would highly recommend them.”

“I have been with scrivens since I was small & I think they are the best ones around, I here the problems some people have with other opticians & I have never had a problem at a all in fact they are the ones that found out I'm at risk of glaucoma so really they saved my sight. I would always recommend them.”

“My Mother is registered Blind and has hearing issues meaning she required an appointment with Scrivens She has waited 8 weeks for the appointment at Langford branch only for it to be cancelled the day before Now she has boon told she needs to wait another 8 weeks and attend a surgery farther away She is very upset at the way this has been handled It is shameful that Scrivens are treating an elderly disabled lady with such disrespect”

“Fantastic staff at the Alfreton branch, I've been a few times due to ongoing health problems, the doctors recommended going for an eye test to rule my sight out and the staff were amazing about it, even when I had to go back a year later for the same problem. Just had my two year eye test and just waiting on my glasses. I get free NHS test and the selection of free frames are great, I did pay £10 for a frame that suited my face but that was my choice and the staff were very helpful when choosing the right frame for my face, telling me what suited and what didn't. Couldn't recommend enough! Customer for life that's for sure!”

“I WILL NOT BE RETURNING TO THIS OPTICIAN, AS I WAS TOLD AN OUTRIGHT LIE AND MADE TO FEEL LIKE A FOOL.THE STAFF ARE FINE, VERY FRIENDLY, BUT THE PARTICULAR OPTICIAN AFTER GIVING ME A NEW PRESCRIPTION,THEN SAID I DID NOT QUALIFY FOR AN NHS VOUCHER, WITHOUT EVEN CHECKING MY DETAILS, SO I WILL NOT BE RETURNING THERE.”

“Usual high quality service from Aldridge branch. Thorough eye test by optician and plenty of help from staff choosing new frames. Glasses arrived within time frame specified. Collected glasses today and staff again very helpful adjusting them.”

“Poulton branch - All staff were very welcoming and Paul helped me by fitting some existing lenses into a new pair of frames. These were not from Scrivens and although i understand this 'may be part of the service' i really did appreciate his time and consideration. I would fully endorse this practise, their professionalism and the all round cheery atmosphere.....and this was at 9.20am! Please give them a try you won't be disapointed.”
