Disgraceful and unprofessional outfit run by cowboys and clowns Constantly cancelling appointments at a moments notice or no notice at all Travelled half an hour with a distressed 89 year old cos never even bothered to inform us this one cancelled Taking our service elsewhere

This morning I called into my local branch of Scrivens Opticians in Princess Victoria Street, Clifton, Bristol. Nina, the Manageress greeted me cheerfully and asked how she could help. One of the nose pads on my glasses had come off and they were causing me discomfort. Nina asked me to take a seat and, promptly and efficiently, took my glasses and replaced both nose pads. I am very happy ! The glasses no longer hurt my nose and I can continue wearing my Scrivens glasses contentedly. This attention to detai, replacing both pads to match, is another example of Nina’s professionalism and reputation in Clifton Village. In a world of mediocrity and basic service, we are very fortunate to have in Nina, a person of knowledge, expertise and integrity. A person of high standards and excellence. This reflects well on Scrivens, as I am full of praise for such a service and cheerfully recommend this branch to all my friends. Full marks!

Long standing Scrivens Tewkesbury Customer. I like the quality of your products. My visit this year unfortunately wasn't up to the usual standard I have become accustomed to. Positives from my recent visit - Optician fantastic, he was knowledgeable and kind. I didn't feel rushed, overall a great eye test and full explanation given. Appointment was easy to arrange. Negatives from my recent visit - Shop floor staff did not have a clue, frosty atmosphere between Laura and the new male manager - note to you both, do not bicker infront of your customers it makes us feel particulary awkward. Shop wasn't very clean - carpet a mess, glasses to try on smeared / greasy, crumbs in free hearing test area - this area also smelled. I was quoted for extras I didn't want or feel I needed yet Laura didn't want to take no for an answer (I hope she hasn't been pressured into selling things people don't want or need) The shop seemed to have lost its spark, there was always laughter and chatter and a warm feeling being there - this was definitely absent. Overall it wasn't a terrible experience (although I think your optician saved it from being one) It was just not the experience I have come to know and love. I was told Lindsey and Kirsty have recently left - please bring them back to create the magic I have become accustomed to! You had the best service in Tewkesbury and probably Gloucestershire! You really need staff that care about what they do and the people they are supposed to be looking after. I haven't decided if I am returning next year yet, my wife is due to visit you in February, I will see how her visit goes. Can you redeem yourselves?

Picked my new glasses up yesterday, Kim was very helpful and made numerous adjustments to my frames until they fitted perfect. I have recommended Scrivens to all my family and friends so they can experience the same level of professionalism and care this establishment provides. If you have tried the rest, then it's time to try the best. Many thanks most sincerely.

My date of birth is 29/03/54,you don't recognise thus date, I assure you it is I,my sight test was excellent, optician was kind and patient

staff polite in mood & manner , make you comfortable , when picking new frame Not rush you , give you advice on best frame to suit you They take , make sure frame fits Not got as yet , in approx two weeks

I found everything at ScrivensHavant branch to be agreeable and efficient. I underwent a serious hearing test. more intensive than before on NHS, with a charming and friendly audiologist. and was presented with a new pair of hearing aids on the spot1 instructions on care, maintenance and use quickly followed. I left the shop feeling very satisfied and my new hearing aids are performing well.

Not seen an audiologist yet just got my appointment letter in two male first names and my first name spelt wrong as my surname bit nervous how my treatment will be

Disgusted with this company. I have trouble with my hearing aids and a decline in my hearing. Cannot get a hearing test for 6 months as told every 2 years for a test. They are not now doing a test at my GP Surgery and the nearest town do not have anyone to do a hearing test. Further more, Cannot book a test through a local centre, you have to go through the free phone number, waiting an hour today and received a negative answer. I will be pleased when my nhs contract is finished with this company. I did phone another centre of the same company and they had no record of me.

had an appointment at Scrivens, actual hearing test etc was well carried out and I felt the audiologist was very thorough and did not rush. Had NHS hearing aids fitted, the fit was not the best as they did not rest on my ears there was a gap between hearing aid and ear and I had trouble getting the right one to fit into my ear properly and at times it was painful trying. Went back and they fitted a new dome to the right one (she seem to have trouble getting the dome to fit onto the hearing aid), that night when I took them out the dome on the right ear came off and was left in my ear, luckily husband got it out. Went back to explain the problems I was having about poor fit, explained about fitment to ear etc, they tried another few ideas but nothing was suitable, so in the end I left the centre with a variety of domes and wires and told to go and play with them (I think she mean't try them). So I'm back off to my original hearing centre to see if they can once again help me out.

I went to the bury st edmunds for my pre booked appointment and was told they had no record of it. I showed them your letter to me. As I live approximately 1 hour drive away, you can imagine I wasn’t best pleased. Please take me OFF your listing as I now go to a local, more reliable company. Regards Andrea Ellis

I had a hearing test and a review of my hearing aids on October 27th 2022 at Cloth Street, Huddersfield branch. A warm welcome by the lady on reception. A lovely lady, Alana, attended to all my needs with patience and meticulous attention to detail. She has a wonderful calming presence. 💖 Thank you Alana.

NOT HAPPY AT ALL, HAD MY APPT 6TH MAY 2022. HAVE OLD HEARING NHS AIDS,, NEW MOULDS WERE DONE SENT TO YOU. NEW ONES CAME 16TH Sept 2022. ear moulds are too big make my ear lobes soar. reverted back to old hearing aids. my appts were at Portsmouth St Marys Treatment Centre, Echo room.
