I walked Into the Scrivens In Grantham to look at glasses and was told to come back tomorrow as there wasn't anyone In the shop who could help me so I questioned why the shop was open If there wasn't anyone who could help the customer with the purchase of glasses as Instead of getting a valid reason I was requested to leave the shop, not Impressed with the customer service and will never use Scrivens.

I had my new hearing aids for one week. Then they stopped working I spoke to Scrivens, after a couple of questions they advised I would need them retuned. However I would have to wait over 2 months for this. They then said it could be the tubes, they sent new ones. My daughter fitted them and they still do not work. Very poor service and a shame as I did enjoy my week of decent hearing!

I have been very pleased with my hearing aids from Scrivens fitted a year ago. A friend asked me if they gave me good hearing good i said they are that good i can hear what people are thinking.

Outstanding customer service from Carina Kelly at the Rotherham branch… I bought my 94 year old neighbour in having had a few disasters with opticians.. Carina, went above and beyond him helping my neighbour and making sure he had everything he needed! Fantastic service.. thank you

Great customer experience at our Crewe Branch with eye test. The staff were 5 Star. Well Done the customer was "Coloured Happy".

Very expensive, a pair of reading glasses, 350 pounds absolutely ridiculous went to spec savers and got them for 69 pounds!

Never been more angry. I do have early corneal dystrophy and explained my eyes get very dry. I asked if my prescription had changed much and the optician said that she couldn't see my previous prescription in the examining room and marched me out to the reception for new glasses. I explained that the last 3 eye tests (over 9 months as optician said 3monthly tests) were all different and he said quote... you could have another test in 20 minutes and it would be different by 0.25. IT'S JUST NUMBERS!!!!! I explained that my glasses were 7 months old and I couldn't afford to change them twice a year. He must have taken me for a complete fool if he thought I believed eyesight changes every 20 minutes. Absolutely furious. Shall not be returning.

I've just had my eyes tested with Caroline Helmsley at the stamford branch. Honestly this is by far the best eye test I've ever had. She explained everything to me clearly before proceeding any examination. She made me feel very comfortable and answered any questions I may have. Fantastic service. Thanks

My existing hearing aids were over 6 years old. Despite trying they could not be adjusted to an acceptable level. I was shown a selection of replacement models with excellent information on each with no pressure to buy. I returned after deciding to renew and had a couple of choices. After very patient explanations the choice was made. On picking them up and being given help to understand its features the change was incredible. I cannot thank Jolanto Baines from Midsomer Norton enough for her knowledge and patience. Incidentally all the staff were friendly and upbeat.

told new lens would be marked as urgent...within 7 days....went in after 10 days...told next delivery would be over 2 weeks...very poor

I had my eyes tested today at Newark today. For reasons I don’t really understand I hate having my eyes examined. The understanding and care I received were exemplary. Thank you to all your staff who saw me.

Having paid £70 upfront for a replacement hearing aid at Bradleys Penzance somehow my order seems to have been lost despite going in a week later to enquire. The response today 2 weeks later from the shop was that nothing could be done as someone was on holiday until Wednesday! I have arranged with headoffice to have a replacement sent direct to my house 7_10 days . Why couldn't the shop have done this for me Leaving me to arrange myself. My worry is that alot of elderly patients would not have been able to do this for themselves and would have needed the shop to have helped instead of being vaguely told I would have to wait for the audiologist to return from holiday next week ! And I paid £70 !! Very poor uncaring service . Head Office were excellent. Thankyou.

Went to Scrivens in Swadlincote today. I had the most helpful and caring staff, from the receptionist Sarah when I entered, to Natasha who got my hearing aids sorted via a very prompt and caring audiologist. Thankyou.

Wimborne Branch/Amazing - saved my sight! Thank you for picking up sight loss and potential retinal detachment af my recent visit and referring me to hospital. It was a detachment and apparently if left a few days longer central vision would have been lost. You are amazing as this was missed by an NHS consultant who said the dark patch would clear!!! Thank you so much to the Canadian optician and the lady who carried out the sight test. David

Staff always friendly and helpful. Have had regular eye tests at local branch for nearly 20 years. Glaucoma first diagnosed at Scrivens also cataracts. Had cataract surgery but many problems. Awaiting a lens replacement from hospital. I will then go back to Scrivens for advice and another contact lens.

1st pair were not what i was looking for, possibly my fault, but they changed them for free and i was very happy with the results, the staff are very polite and professional.

I have regularly used Scrivens since I moved back to Norwich 2006. I was referred to have cataract surgery at N&N hospital. Since January I've had 4 lots of surgery . I have one good eye and one minus a lens. July earliest appointment. I have found Scrivens staff always friendly and helpful. Eye tests have always been comfortable and informative. This is probably not the review you require. I will be returning as soon as N&N hospital makes my eyes comfortable again.
