“What a lovely service I received at my appointment. The two girls on the desk were brilliant and so friendly. The optician was really nice and explained things so well. Such a lot of choice of frames and such a good price. Thank you all so much. Will recommend to all my friends and family.”

“Room for improvement/training. Had an eye test and ordered varifocals from the Fordhouses store in Wolverhampton. When i came to collect them the reading area was far too low. Saw a gentleman who explained the issue and remade them. I was pleased so ordered another pair which the same gentleman sorted for me. 3 stars as i had to come back 2/3 times and none of the other staff knew what to do. I think its inconvenient to visit multiple times before you can speak to someone who knows what they’re doing”

“Unbelievably great service from Nina at Clifton (Bristol) branch in accommodating my 93 year old Aunt for an emergency appointment! She very quickly understood the problem that my Aunt was facing and was able to negotiate to move another patient to a different time to accommodate this emergency. My thanks to that patient also!”

“Branch staff in Erdington are lovely. I have always received excellent service from them. However, when a problem arises, don’t expect any satisfaction from customer service at head office. After being a loyal customer for a good few years, sadly I will not be using. scrivens again”

“As an|NHS hearing patient Scrives have not come up to my expectations. The after service I have received has been non-existent, so much so I have now resorted to buying aids privately for the sake of my health and the difference is astonishing. I accept that NHS aids were free, but the hearing test was only satisfactory. In the 12 months that I have been fitted with aids, only batteries have been sent to me twice with no compliment slip or letter, only an envelope with the items enclosed. I have never received tubes or domes which I understood should be changed about every 3 months !! Trying to find an email address to write to them is almost impossible as telephoning is pointless. All in all I would not use them again.”

“Excellent Service, everyone there were so helpful to me as I am dissabled and iI had lost my Husband 4 weeks prior, they took me under their wing. Helping me with my coat, making sure I was OK and helping me to the Rooms for my Eye Tests. Also when all was completed They helped me with the Glasses and the Sunglasses. I was very very impressed, Do not seem to get the attention nowadays as they gave me. Looking forward to going back for fitment and collecting my Glasses. Big Thank you Scrivens Nothing was too much trouble.”
