Visited 5 times and my VDU glasses were still no good for purpose wasting my time and petrol money. They did eventually refund. I found out in the end by attending another opticians that the prescription was wrong! which they never checked! One visit to this opticians and done and dusted and I now have a fab new pair of glasses fit for purpose.

Further to my previous review stating that my spectacles had no arrived Today I received a call from the manageress at the Witney shop a very nice lady called Jen Jen advised me that my order had finally arrived and she agreed to deliver them to me at my home address as I could not leave my disabled wife alone. I must say what fantastic service and totally unexpected Glad to say that as soon as I put on the new glasses everything was perfect. Thank you Jen and your staff

Phoned for an appointment and was told to try again in two weeks. Is this because I’m an NHS patient. If so it’s downright discrimination

Starkey hearing aid batteries not very good. Right ear went faulty c.6 months ago and now left one has gone faulty. Have renewed insurance when reviewed Thursday 19/1/23 but am told by Horsforth branch that faulty left aid cannot be sent for repair until insurance is set up though I paid in full on the day. No criticism of audiologist who is excellent nor the optician who I also use but the follow up and administration presumably from your head office is pretty appalling Bryan David Fletcher Horsforth

I would thoroughly recommend Scrivens opticians of Clifton in Bristol for their dedication in helping their elderly clients. Because my 100 year old mum was unable to get out, Nina from the Clifton branch went out of her way to deliver mum’s new hearing aids to her, so that she could enjoy company as fully as possible. On behalf of my mum and her family we thank you all for your help and kindness in our hour of need. You truly went above and beyond in making mum’s life better.

Having recently moved from to Witney from the Isle of Wight it was decided by my doctor that I should get my eyes tested. I made an appointment for October 23 2022 at the Witney branch Having decided to go to them rather than Specsavers believing that their service would be better. Having waited a considerable time because the optician was running late, I finally was seen by the optician, only to be told that before I could have an eye test I would require to have a blood test. Why I am not sure. Finally one month later I had the long awaited eye test and it was decided to change the prescription, I paid £250 and was expecting to get transition lenses for this price. After one week I received a phone call requesting a further £180 for the special bifocal lenses. In order to keep the cost down I decided to forgo the transition lens. When the glasses finally arrived in December 2022 it was discovered that the bifocals put into the frame were too strong and affected my vision. On January 3 2023 I had a retest and said that as the bifocals were being changed then I would like to have the transition lenses and this was agreed to by the manageress of the Witney branch It is now January 26 2023 and I am still waiting for my glasses . Maybe I should have gone to Specsavers

Today I had a appointment at the ashton and makerfield shop where the lovely lady checked my hearing aids and gave me some advice about them she was so lovely and helpful also thanks to David who is sorting out my glasses a lovely man and not forgetting their lovely receptionist altogether a lovely shop nothing but praise for them

Excellent professional service lovely staff whom are really helpful in finding me the right frames And answered my questions with ease. My eye test was over and done within 20mins at the fleetwood branch Excellent optician who guided me in the right direction with plenty of advice. Highly recommend. !!

Very competent, helpful and guided me through the test. Very thorough examination. The after care is excellent, when I was running low on batteries just before Christmas, Scrivens Reception sent out some batteries straight away, so I was not without any when I was away in Scotland visiting family. I cannot recommend Scrivens highly enough, Thank you all, especially Mrs Amanda Hume and her team in Horsham.

Amazing service! I highly recommend the branch Wolstanton Julie was very helpful from start to finish. The first time I have been to a opticians and felt like I was genuinely been listened too and most of all I wasn't rushed. Heather the optom was by far the best optom I have ever had the pleasure of meeting, the eye test was so comfortable and enjoyable I actually didn't stop smiling. I learnt so much about my eyes that I never knew. After the eye test Julie showed me the glasses and then talked me through the different types of coatings I could have, this was amazing as i working computers and under bright lights- Julie explained what I needed and why. I wont go anywhere else now, such a great experience that I have reccomended my work colleagues and my family. Keep up the great work and thank you again for amazing service

Hi, I am writing firstly to say that the staff and management at your Loughborough store Lorraine and Theresa have always been excellent. They are efficient and caring and represent you well. Sadly , I have changed to Specsavers for my contact lens . I only use one reading lens and was paying around £17 a month with yourselves . I decided i could no longer afford this and stopped wearing it. I then wondered if i could get it cheaper anywhere else and had an appointment at Specsavers who charge me £9 a month for the same lens. I was amazed and have changed to use them. I am on my second health check with them and there has been no increase in price. I also used to have my hearing aids from the Scrivens in loughborough. But when i got to the end of the contract the only package available was one that included quite expensive batteries monthly. I don’t wear my aids all of the time, my need for batteries may well be much less than others and i buy excellent batteries on line for £10 for 60. This lasts me the year. I pay a one off fee once a year to an excellent hearing care service in Barrow . So, in short i will not be using your services in the near future. This does make me a bit sad as Lorraine and Theresa really looked after me , especially at a time when i had a major illness, they made sure I could see and hear !

I recently attended the New Milton branch and was seen by Ms Hannah Jeffery. After being told, for forty years, that I had zero hearing in my right ear. Hannah found that I did in fact have some hearing. She suggested that rather than having a "cross-over" hearing aid I should try an actual hearing aid in both ears. The results are nothing more than miraculous. The additional benefit of an App, which my husband has to use!, saves me having to make any adjustments. All in all a first rate professional service, thank you again.
