Husband had a hearing test, told he needed aids and that someone would call to arrange an appointment for fitting. No one has bothered to call so now he has been to Boots and collects them next week. Would not recommend Scrivens.

I had my usual eye test and all went well. I bought some varifocals and had extra coating along with insurance. Later and within the cooking off period I realised I did not take to varifocals and made an appointment to change to separate glasses. In the meantime I lost them and was told I couldn’t get separate glasses as by the time I had them replaced it would be outside of the cooling off period. It’s not my fault you take that kind to replace and knowing I actually did not want them replacing, just changing for separate glasses for creating and distance, I’m dismayed at this ridiculous position you put me in.

Visited the Radcliffe branch and from the first time you walk into the branch the staff who are John and Sue made you feel welcomed and at ease, also nothing was too much trouble. The optician was Hamza who was very thorough and really put me at ease as I get quite anxious with the eye pressure test. They really do care about people. Would definitely go back again.

I have always been very pleased with the eye tests I have had and the help I get to deside which pair of glasses to buy. I love the hearing aids that I got from you. I recommened your hearing aids to 2 of my friends and the difference they have made to both of the is ingredable!!

My first appointment 1st February 2022, cancelled by Scrivens but no-one thought to let me know. Second appointment 14th February, again cancelled by Scrivens but this time I was informed. Third appointment 19th February for consultation. Forth appointment 28th February ordered £2,695.00 re-chargeable Bluetooth hearing aids, paying £404.25 deposit, to expect delivery in 2 - 3 weeks. After 4 weeks, 28/03/2022, I received a call from Scrivens HO asking me why I had missed my appointment, which I had not been made aware. The caller offered me a new appointment on 25th April at which I became somewhat annoyed. An appointment was subsequently made for the same day, 28th, at 4pm. Unbelievably an hour later I received a call from HO again informing me that the hearing aids could not be located, apologised and cancelled the 4pm appointment. (How could I have missed an appointment earlier in the day if they had no hearing aids to supply!!!). an appointment was made for 4th April and everything seemed OK except we were not able to connect to Bluetooth, only to find that they had not specified Bluetooth on the order although I had paid for it!!! The hearing aids were returned and "expressed" for collection on 11th April. I collected them on the 11th thinking AT LAST, but no, we still could not connect to Bluetooth or the APP. We thought it was the wifi in the small surgery so I said I would try at home and let them know. At home I tried and tried but no good, connect to my ipad, yes, so what was wrong. By chance my grandson, who is a wizz at IT came to visit, he immediately checked the phone's compatibility with the APP, not compatible. At no time during the whole process of purchasing the hearing aids was a specific phone requirement discussed. If I am to keep the hearing aids I have to buy a new phone and will Scrivens make a contribution, yes, £100.00. I returned them on 23rd May and asked for my deposit to be refunded, which only took two weeks. As you can expect from my experience I would not recommend Scriven Hearing Care to anyone.

Tried to book an appointment at Hebden Bridge through NHS referrals. No appointments. Apparently they are only there once every two weeks and only book appointments for a month ahead, which is only two sessions so no wonder there are no appointments! Poor service I think. Clearly I have to look elsewhere.

I was not a customer at Scrivens in Wimborne, but my GP required an urgent referral for sight and pressure readings The staff were excellent and could not have been more helpful The optician was extremely kind as she realised how anxious I was Once she had finished all the tests and explaining everything to me, she contacted the eye hospital and arranged an emergency appointment for that afternoon I cannot rate this branch highly enough Thank you to the whole team

Have attempted six times to contact you by phone, no response only dreadful music, are you there??? do you care about customers??? I think not!! Customer service, rubbish!!!!

Went to WSM branch Greenslades. Helpful staff except for a lady, then met the rudest Optician I've ever known. Arrogant, male who humiliated me. Made me and my husband wait for hours.

Tried to book appointment at M&S vanguard centre York. No reply on several occasions as per previous comments. Sort your phone out. Spec savers here I come.

Had my ears tested this morning in Witney branch. Excellent service explained fully what would happen. Was worried about going after bad experience elsewhere showed the readings from my test. I was given NHS hearing aids so pleased much better than my other ones. Please pass this onto the lovely gentleman that put me at ease while having the test.

I've had a fantastic experience with the Chipping Norton branch. The optician was thorough but very friendly and he understood my needs, which resulted in two prescriptions rather than varifocals. These have worked out perfectly. The ladies who helped me choose frames and processed the orders were brilliant. A very professional but friendly and relaxed experience. Highly recommend!

Do they actually take calls? Tried THREE times today and just get banal music. I've been a customer for three years 9NHS and Private) - not any more! I'm going to take my business elsewhere. Appalling Customer Service.

received letter to arrange a hearing aid check waited on the phone for hour just listening to music!!" Also wanted to arrange for new tubes to be sent to me. Althtough when ordered previously they take 10 /14 days to arrive .

I recently lost my hearing aids and rang scrivens on Upper St Giles and spoke with a member of staff called Matthew. After explaining my situation with him he said he didn’t have any of my hearing reports and that he will would have to call head office to get them, he explained that it could take 24hr and said he was making me his priority and would call me back the following day. Without fail that what he did. After explaining that he had spoken to the audiologist they can send me a new pair in the post as my mobility isn’t that great. This man went above and beyond with his help and even had time to have a chat with me as a man who doesn’t get out much meant the world to me. He explained that he was new to the business after changing careers after 20 years in another industry. Well done Scrivens for taking him on, I hope he has a long and fruitful career with your company what a wonderful young man with great customer service.

A masterclass in going the extra mile. Mildenhall and Brandon staff cooperated to solve two unrelated but urgent problems. They listened with patience and good humour then got things done with skill and common sense. Kim and her colleagues set the bar for customer service very high indeed.
