“I visited the store a few weeks ago. And had a eye test and purchased two pairs of glasses. I'm so happy with them I will be coming back for a third pair. All the staff are very professional and I would like to mention Precious who looked after me, she has such a warm personality whilst being professional at the same time. All the team members were great and deserve recognition.”

“Was seen & helped today by Patrycja, she was lovely , friendly & very helpful. She also replaced screw in my glasses & helped me choose new pairs, frames are a good price, lenses are always the expensive part, but thats normal.”

“Kingstanding Scrivens - Myself and my son use this branch regularly for eye tests and glasses prescriptions. The staff are friendly and helpful. Also, they have a wide selection of frames.”

“Had a great experience at the Market Deeping branch. All the staff were very helpful and friendly and helped me to chose a nice new pair of glasses. The amazing branch staff is definitely what will be making me come back again and recommending Scrivens to all my friends and family.”

“I purchased a hearing aid worth 2000 pounds from you, no one told me that it was a waste of money and that it was actually a scam, because it is impossible to replace the batteries in the device, I came to you to replace the batteries but you did not agree to do so, claiming that a full treatment was needed, and you also did not agree to give me a quote, how much it would cost. Well, I intend to contact the authorities for lying and selling products without the possibility of replacing the batteries and without being told when I purchased them.”

“An utterly useless company. I received a pair of NHS hearing aids which ceased to work after only a few months. Trying to get replacements has been an nightmare. First they failed to respond to a helpline request within their stated timescales so I had to chase this up. Then, when instructed to return them, I received replacements after about two weeks only to find one of them didn't work at all. On my subsequent trip to the Scrivens audiologist I found her brusque, unhelpful and not in the least apologetic and was told I'd get a replacement in 3 weeks. Well, that 3 weeks has expired and I still don't have working hearing aid although an appointment was made for me today only to be cancelled at short notice. So that's over two months I've been within hearing aids! Dreadful customer service and an appalling service to the NHS. Avoid if you can!”

“I had worrying problems with my distance sight. Although it was too soon for my annual appointment, I was able to have an eye test at my local Kings Heath branch. The problem was quickly sorted out and I had new lenses fitted within 7 days. Fantastic service from Jo and the team, and perfect vision for me. I am very grateful. Thank you.”

“I've tried to make two bookings of an appointment. Have had no response to either of them. I received a written reply confirming my third booking. When I arrived for the appointment they had no knowledge of me. How do I get any service from Scrivens?”

“The staff at the Witney branch of Scrivens are very caring and helpful particularly Paris who was very patient, kind and patient with me as she guided me through the difficult task of choosing 2 pairs of glasses even though there were other customers waiting for her attention. So lovely to have such pleasant individual attention and I will certainly continue to have my next eye tests in the future there.”

“I’ve needed hearing aids since 2018 and the first pair I received were excellent the service I received was also superb, when covid arrived and things were more difficult I received a replacement pair in the post and again had no problem. Then in 2024 having heard nothing from Scrivens I booked for a repeat hearing test as I was aware either the devices were failing or my hearing had deteriorated, I was issued with replacement aids however I needed to book a further appointment as not only could I not hear as clearly as I could with the old ones but they randomly and constantly kept on whistling (loud enough for other people to hear) at that appointment they were tweaked to fix the problem, the problem wasn’t solved so I have been wearing the old aids and I’m just waiting until until I qualify for NHS aids from another provider.”

“Terrible after care service for Hearing care. Had my Hearing aids in 2023 from Alsager branch & since then they have been sent away at least 3 times to be repaired & then break again within a week. Getting an appointment is none existent. Spent almost 9 weeks without aids as appointments kept being cancelled. Will never go there again”

“I had an aye test and order glasses on prescription, though I found them very expensive but I ordered glasses. I recieved one pair out of 2 I ordered in almost two and a half weeks and second pair in almost three weeks. My experience of using their glasses is not good unfortunately. There is smoething wrong as my eyes are not relaxed after wearing them. I told them about this but they insist on wearing them for atleast two weeks. Two pairs of glasses cost me about £430 and results are not good. I don't know what is their return or refund policy. Does any one have any idea?”
