“When I enquired in the shop if these aids had Bluetooth I was told they did have but when I was fitted with them I was told there was no Bluetooth so I returned them to the store. Most disappointed at being told untruth.”

“I had cause to visit my local branch, on Hawthorn Road, with one of my hearing aids which I had purchased privately. A very professional young lady, Lily, examined my Right Hearing Aid and advised me that I needed a new part. This would be delivered to the branch and she would fit this, and retest my hearing, once the part was delivered. I was aware that she was on annual leave and was quite happy to wait for the new part. There was some delay in the order being delivered so I rang and spoke to Alliyah Keane who said she would chase the matter up for me and get back to me after the weekend. With age comes a degree of cynicism, but I was presently surprised when I received a call, on the Monday as promised, from Alliyah advising me that, not only had the part been found, but she had made an appointment for me on the Wednesday for both the repair and retest. Wednesday came and the hearing aid was repaired. Lily retested and slightly reset both hearing aids which improved my hearing and reduced my awareness of my Tinnitus. The service I received was excellent and I cannot recommend each young lady highly enough. They were both friendly and professional and a credit to your organisation.”

“Excellent service from start to finish, Louise was my contact she was extremely helpful and knowledgeable, she didn’t rush me and put me at ease, Aboobar Siddeeq the Optometrist was thorough and helpful, all the staff staff all offered advice and assistance so Thankyou very much Louise, Tracy and Carina the Manager xx”

“I am an NHS customer of the Alsager Branch of Scrivens where I attend for hearing tests and to receive my hearing aids. I can not praise highly enough the excellent service I receive at this branch. The staff are friendly, helpful and extremely professional and always make me feel that I'm their most important priority. I can unreservedly recommend the service they provide.”

“Terrible service from Scrivens in Didcot. Paid over £400 for varifocals that never gave my mum good sight. They would not offer a refund. She went in to Specsaver and they provided a prescription and glasses that provide excellent vision, with no problem, at half the price. My mum’s 79 and her experience was most terrible with Scrivens. I’d suggest avoid at all costs whatsoever.”

“I enquired if a part for my Polaroid sunglasses could be replaced. This was done for me very kindly and with no charge (except a donation to the Alzheimer's collection box.) I will bear this company in mind for future services. Thank you.”

“The gentleman was very polite, kind and understanding. He was very thorough, he seems perfect at putting one at ease. I would highly recommend Scrivens in Bilston. Thank you also to the receptionists, who were helpful to me on my mobility scooter.”

“I had a sight test at New Milton today. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. The optometrist Sayyida was excellent and very professional. She also recommended some drops for my dry eyes which I have found difficult to find elsewhere. Great service all round. Very happy.”

“I popped in recently to see if I could get some assistance with my hearing aids which I was having some issues with. I spoke to a nice young lady called Kelly, who very kindly not only sorted my hearing aids out but also installed an app on my phone which enables me to enhance my hearing experience. I have had my hearing aids for over a year and this was the first time I was told about the app. Kelly was extremely friendly and patient with me when showing me how to use the app. It has made a real difference to my hearing and has stopped my son nagging me for not hearing him!!. Thank you”

“Great service - friendly staff. However. Glasses were overpriced. £69 for frames and £69 extra for lenses. Same frames with lenses at specsavers for £50 which we bought as a second pair. Although staff are great, Sadly won’t be returning to Scrivens.”

“After a bad experience with expensive glasses (£600+), that I wore for a total of two hours over a 2yr period, I popped into Scrivens on my way to somewhere else, to check when I could get my eyes retested. I was impressed by some very personable staff that were helpful in the extreme & duly booked an appointed to have my eyes tested. The optometrist was brilliant, taking real care to ensure that my next prescription was exactly right, whilst the optician had no problem in setting up the prescription to fit my existing, but unused expensive frames. I collect my old frames with new lenses that are lightweight, anti glare varifocals etc... later today & at last I shall be able to throw away glasses that have had to endure four years of abuse. I can't speak too highly of the staff at Scrivens & once again apologies to the customer kept waiting because my eye test took so long.”

“Excellent from start to finish. Very thorough and personal service, tailored to your individual needs. Lots of expertise, guidance and time taken to answer questions. All staff were friendly and professional and nothing was too much trouble. A special thank you to Mehvish and Dee, who are a credit to Scrivens.
