Always looking to give less for the car. One of our cars was sold as a non runner, so the driver needed our assistance in getting the vehicle down the drive and onto the trailer whilst the driver was doing other things. Not recommended company

Do not deal with them offering £390 .then £200 BUT PAY ME £150. ROBBED BANDIT. NOT HAPPY NO MORE CAR FOR THEM.

Started well but fell to sub zero standards 2 cancelled pickups that cost 2 days wages collected car on then tried to kick me on price service was bad

Didn't turn up on the arranged day. I took a day off work, I'm self employed,so lost a days wage. I received a text at 5pm to say my car would not be collected that day. No apology. Be careful. They also ask for a donation yo charity. And make you feel obliged.

phoned in 3 times to the Car transporter in Corby asking where i was on the schedule , an AM or PM visit ,The company said they would text the driver to give me a call on a update . No call was given and he turned up 15.28hrs after getting a message by text to say he was going to 1 hour 7 minutes and turned up 10 minutes later. dont often give feed back but the service was so poor .with today's tech there should be no excuse on where your driver is and when he will be attending, one good thing is the driver was polite and was dressed smart.

Very good website, excellent sales team, not very good price. Then it get bad, three collection bookings, then payment misunderstanding. Endless contract read carefully you are on your own after the deposit paid. Good collector eventually. Very poor service

Good afternoon. We are so sorry that there were issues with your collection! Unfortunately due to the nature of transportation, collections may need to be rescheduled due to a number of factors. Three times I had a collection organized and three times they let me down. The first two times I got no notification at all. The third time, I got a call to arrange collection on the day I had already arranged collection for. Now, this was Copart's problem, not Scrap Car Comparison, but if you are using a third party, their performance reflects on you, so sorry SCC, you get the one star, not Copart.

Give you a fake price to draw you in then deduct a load of money because a car that's going for scrap isn't in perfect condition (some minor paint flecking around door handles). In the current market, the price they offered for scrap for a car that still drives and was being used daily was poor. Would not recommend. Took 5 days for the actual scrap company they use ( i think they act as a middle man to cut your price down and take their cut) to collect the car

Was quoted 258.00 online & after a very lengthy interview. Was offered 232.00 for no explanation. The delivery driver was totally ignorant and when I rang the call center they were patronizing. Well done. Good job

Shocking service, 3 collect dates waiting in all day didn’t turn up twice! Constantly making reasons to knock more money off the car! Absolute joke would never use again or recommend!

Whilst the communication was very good, I did NOT appreciate the attempt to lower the price from what was initially offered. The car was being sold as scrap / salvage so certain parts not working (in this case the convertible roof) should be irrelevant and the price I am quoted on the search engine should be final regardless of the condition as long as it meets the minimum. This is not clearly stated and it makes the process more akin to a car buying service rather than scrapping. Additionally, I live in a rural area so advised a larger transport would likely have problems. This was not effectively communicated to the pickup driver so arrangements had to be made for a different vehicle. In the end all was fine and it arrived on time, but the process should have been smoother. One HUGE problem I have is that the driver had no protective equipment or face mask, and did not properly abide by social distancing rules. This was very dangerous and considering I have a young family has made me very concerned about contracting COVID-19. Whilst the phone based customer service was generally good, this is rated low because of the end to end process having the failures mentioned above.

Scrap car comparison,Bms salvage and Robin the driver that finally came to collect the car were all excellent, however really disappointed with Copart they made a easy job very difficult and acted as if they didn't care should be grateful that they collected it Had it not been for the fact that my wife works from home, I would have had to been of work all week to sort something out that Robin took 10 minutes to do eventually

Really bad service from the team member, Andrew T who was dealing with me. He kept hassling me for a pound to give to a “charity” and tried to make me feel guilty and mean when I said no, because it sounded vague. He also lied and said the cars are always collected within 48 hours of contact, which I later found out to be untrue.

We do work with various charities, which you can see more information about on our website, but our staff should not be hassling you for any donation. Quite often vehicles are collected within 2 working days (sometimes even the next day!), however this is dependent on how busy your local collector is at the time. I was very much disappointed because your sales lady decided to pay a price which was never agreed upon. I could not object because my car had already been loaded. I think it is a scam/ fraud perfectly implemented by your company. Up to now I am not happy with the amount I got from you for my car.

We have looked into your complaint and can see from the notes that your vehicle had damage that was not described by yourself at the time of booking. You were originally offered a salvage price for your vehicle based on the condition that you had initially described to us, so you were then offered a recalculated price based on the actual condition, which we understand you accepted. If you are stating that you did not agree to the reduced offer and the collection driver removed your vehicle without your consent, this would be wrong and is definitely not one of our business practices. Very disappointing. When I rang to state that my car had 135000 miles on the clock instead of the 120000 I originally estimated, the money paid to me fell by more than 20% from £85 to £65. Why? What extra costs did you incur? There was half a tank of petrol in the car, worth over £20. No payment was made for this. Somebody at your premises will have used that gift of free fuel, I am certain!!

Hi Derek, Sorry to hear that you were not happy with our service. We offer all our customers their highest possible prices based on the information that you provide us with. If a vehicle has considerably higher mileage than the customer has originally stated, our collection agents are entitled to renegotiate the price with you, regardless of the fuel level. In the case of scrapping a vehicle, the fuel must be treated as waste and is disposed of correctly, not reused, in order to prevent risk of fuel contamination. Hi Javed, Sorry to hear that you would not recommend us to anyone. This is definitely not the way we aim for customers to feel after using our service! We have looked into your complaint and have found that the reason the collection agent renegotiated your price was due to the vehicle originally being described as a drive-able vehicle, but at the point of collection it did not start and parts were removed from the engine. In this situation the collection agent is entitled to renegotiate your price as this does make a difference to the scrap or salvageable value to them. Sorry if any inconvenience was caused. Hi John, Sorry to hear you had issues with our service. We have found that your vehicle was collected and paid for within 4 days of booking your vehicle in. Any extra days waiting may be due to your bank which unfortunately we cannot control. We understand a third party driver collected your vehicle and you should have been advised that you needed to call the office for instant payment without delay. We are sorry if you were not correctly informed on this occasion. Nearly all of our customers are paid within minutes (or even seconds) of their vehicle being collected, via instant bank transfer.
