“I was very much disappointed because your sales lady decided to pay a price which was never agreed upon. I could not object because my car had already been loaded. I think it is a scam/ fraud perfectly implemented by your company. Up to now I am not happy with the amount I got from you for my car.”

Hi Noel, Sorry to hear that you were not happy with our service. We have looked into your complaint and can see from the notes that your vehicle had damage that was not described by yourself at the time of booking. You were originally offered a salvage price for your vehicle based on the condition that you had initially described to us, so you were then offered a recalculated price based on the actual condition, which we understand you accepted. If you are stating that you did not agree to the reduced offer and the collection driver removed your vehicle without your consent, this would be wrong and is definitely not one of our business practices. If this is the case we would like to take the opportunity to take this very seriously and would appreciate it if you could email us using complaints@scrapcarcomparison.co.uk to provide further information in attempt to resolve this for you and ensure it doesn't happen again. “02/01/2019 Below I wrote on 19/02/2018 - it was reviewed and on 02/01/2019 I received money (£96) back from BMS salvage. so I am changing my review and confirming, that I am happy with service, I was told that I will get £200 for car and at the end I received it. so all good. 19/12/2018 Avoid! Avoid! They arranged my car to be collected by BMS salvage and after BMS arranged car collection through Coppart, so someone called me to book car colection. I told them car is in Ford dealers garage and there is very narrow entrance so send small recovery, they said okay no rpoblem. After one week they are calling, our driver is there but because he is in big transporter he cant go in and we can’t collect car. My car was non runner. They told me sorry about it and we will send you small recovery next week. After one week someone arrived and he said, i am smaller recovery but still big for thi entrance you need more smaller recovery. BMS called me and said, we can’t collect your car because we can’t get to it so if we collect this car we need to charge you £150, originaly we agreed for them to pay me £200. I said bo just leave and before drivers left, he said how much you can pay me and i will collect it. I said £50. He called his office arranged somethin over the phone and they charged me £96 to collect car. As soon as i paid driver siad all good you can go we will collect car. I left but still watching them how they recover it because it was him in first place who said car can’t be collected. When he was sure i left, he pushed car out and draw small recovery to antrance, put car on and he drove away. BMS paid me £200 but i had to pay £96 to copart so i only got £104, Plus before i had to deliver my car at ford garage and i was charged £120 so i did get nothing. So just avoid this company if you can. They will call you evry minute until you book with them and after they don’t care!!! Over the phne when i was asking them to collect and i was refusing to pay because i informed them garage had narrow entrance, BMS girls said, we are salvage company not recovery. So Avoid them or you will loose your money!”

“Although the price offered for the car was not spectacular, the service worked well. The agents that contacted me were efficient and lived up to their promises. At the end of the day, this was more important than the extra £50 I believe the car was worth.”
