Normally exceptional experience with shoffel but the trousers I received had a split down the seam and for the price you should normally expect better.

The problem is the product (Merryn 1/4 zip). I have a navy one a year old made in China. The forest one by comparison has forearms which are significantly tighter and overall the material feels thinner (= cheap). The new one is made in India. I'm hoping the new Merryn will 'relax' ... but the sense from new is of corners cut fit-wise, and in quality. Overall I'm disappointed as my navy Merryn is a wardrobe staple. Both are washed at 30c on delicate programme, spun but never tumble dried, so it's basically down to cut and material. Happy to compare a replacement if I've got a rogue 'bedding down production' cut.

I brought this jumper as a gift for my son and was really disappointed with the quality and sent it back immediately. It was very thin and when you held it up you could see through it! You could even see the stitching of the inside lable on the back it was so thin. The jumper was also too long in the body. Not the quality I would expect from Schoffel.

Every time I’ve tried to buy something recently the sizing is so different to other manufacturers many to large and quality gone down hill

I sent the waterproof overtrousers back because they were too small. I called to ask advice on sizing and was assured that the small size would fit. Well, they would have done if they were NOT over trousers. Based on your size guide it seems one needs to go up a size for these garments.

Bought a fleece gilet for my husband for Christmas. I decided to purchase from Schoffel direct as I thought it would be nicely packaged etc as opposed to buying from shops as I have previously. It turned up in a collapsed cardboard box - all the circular seals had failed - it was basically open. Inside was the gilet - no paper no plastic cover - nothing - just the gilet unwrapped inside an open spoiled cardboard box. Amazingly the gilet in undamaged. So dissapointed in the service.

You should not be advertising something that has the larger sizes advertised when you then tell me you will never be sticking them again. Take them off the size bracket.

Spent over £150 on a Schoffel and it arrived in the cheapest possible cardboard box all crumpled up. They need to do something about packaging.

Very dissatisfied that a parcel was left on view on a front door step, I poor weather, when a request had been made via the delivery system for the parcel to be put in a greenhouse.

merino Gilet. The garment bobbled all over within a month, after light wear which I assume is due to low quality material. The zip is also very difficult to lock in at the bottom due to the frayed wool threads in this area. When buying the item I was assured that the difficulty in getting the zip in was normal and would loosen up over time. For the money I expected a lot more. On the positive side it is warm…

My review is regarding returns and refunding. I returned items on December 30th using the suggested methods of Collect Plus. I did not get refunded until January 25th. Following the tracking they seem to spend a long time on a pallet awaiting return to Schoffel. On contacting Schoffel they assured me this was normal ?? I know of no other company that takes so long to receive it’s items back. I would not order direct again, and would look for a retailer selling Schoffel clothing. To me, your returns system is archaic in an age where parcels can be delivered in hours.

Size 12 fit perfectly in regards to the fit, and being able to zip up the schoffel comfortably. However, as a 5’0 women the length of the schoffel is awful on me and looked ridiculous. I really wanted to be able to sinch in the waist to make a nice fitted style, however it looked silly as it didn’t sit on my waist, but rather on my hips due to the length. Sadly had to return.
