“The product is very good and the initial delivery and subsequent exchange were very speedy. However, I think charging for returns is somewhat poor for a product that carries a considerable price tag.”

“Ok, so I have bought a total of 5 of the Schoffel gillet. But... I bought one for my wife and sadly as I’m no expert in these things I bought the wrong size, Schoffel, to be fair asked me to return the said item and I was immediately refunded. But I needed a replacement urgently, because I only have 2 faults in my wife’s eyes, everything I do and everything I say. Schoffel wouldn’t oblige, even offered to return the item and collecting the new one from their main depot in Grantham. Their operational address is in Oakham and they referred me to an associate store who could supply my with what I needed at the same address!!!! Sorted in the end, product is expensive, but worth it. Quality product, quality made..and happy wife. She loves the gillet. Wears it all the time as I do in these wintery months. .”

“I was surprised that Schoffel could not offer me a gift option in the process of purchasing...i.e. a greeting and security about cost not being displayed to recipient. I did request this via email and they never got back to me to say whether they could or could not include a greeting and it is pretty standard for retailers to offer this as an option in the online purchasing process”

“I have many scoffel coats and waist coats. So I was a little disappointed when the waist coat I ordered (Same size as the one I have and live in!). Is about half an inch smaller all over compared to the one I have. Just thought I would make you aware.”

“Husband bought me a lovely jacket as a surprise, but my usual size twelve was far too tight across the bust, so had to send it back at OUR cost for a 14, which is of course a little too big, shame as its a lovely fitted shape and far more slimming than any other tweeds I’ve seen. I mentioned this at a shoot recently and all the ladies complained about the less than generous sizing. The other complaint is that it arrived so creased it looked like wet dogs had slept on it and I had to painstakingly steam it all . This was annoying for my Hubbie, trying to make a grand gesture, as the jacket is not inexpensive and had to send one back at further cost then spend 40 minutes making the new one look presentable. Nice coat shame about customer service!”

“The gilet I purchased was superb quality & extremely well made. But sadly I had to return the item as it was very skimpy in sizing & bearing in mind these items are worn in chillier weather, i felt it was very short in length. For these reasons I have only awarded 3 stars. Please Schoffel, be a bit more generous in your sizes.”

“Not so much a problem with schoffel but the delivery company that they use is terrible I pay extra for next day delivery and over a week later I’m still waiting and after speaking to DPD I won’t be getting my product which I needed a week and a half ago won’t be here for at least another 5 days”

“This fleece is a very small size. I ordered a size up from my usual size to fit a jumper underneath but it was still very tight. I haven't put weight on and all other purchases recently from other suppliers have been fine. Can't be bothered sending it back.”

“I have for years had several Schoffel products. I like them very much. Online I ordered a fleece in your biggest size, 54. When it arrived it transpired that the new garment was 17 cm less in circumference than the older one. On the telephone you have confirmed that you have indeed shrunk the sizes. I find this strange. Also,why stop at size 54? It would take a lot for me to buy from you again.”

“Super fast delivery and great packaging. Lovely brochure included. However, disappointing that returns are not paid for - I had to pay the original delivery fee of £4.99 for my first item then the same again return adding £10 onto the cost of something that I did not purchase. I ended up exchanging this item for a more expensive item but had to re order - also disappointing that you cannot exchange directly via post.”

“Item and speed off delivery was good BUT when you spend £180 on something and am not in delivery for it to be left with a neighbour and nothing put through my door to say that was not happy what if you don't get on with them and they kept it”
