Purchased Schoffel Ptarmigan about 18 months ago (online cannot find old details ) Used it 2 weeks ago in heavy rain which seem to absorb it like blotting paper, with resulatant heavier weight. Pool of water where i hung it to air dry. (Surely reviews should concentrate on the product rather than deliyery speed, and "nice packaging" ? (another matter )

Saxby over trousers are good unless you have a pair that is not waterproof then Schoffel dont want to know!

I was very disappointed to discover that Schoffel's knitware is sourced in China. Garments are not made in the UK but in asia. They charge about £100 for the Chunky cable crew jumper. Bear in mind this jumper is only 50% wool and 50% acrylic. Acrylic is carcinogenic and leaches microplastics into waterways. Ends up being consumed by marine life and eaten by humans. There's talks of banning it. You can buy a jumper, made in the UK which uses 100% British wool (and certified by British Wool which exists to protect the consumer, uphold a certain quality, grade of wool and to protect the sheep from mismanagement, physical abuse and to ensure animal welfare is met) for the same price. The same cannot be said for wool sourced from other continents and this is an unfortunate and very sad issue which upsets many legitimate farmers. I'd highly recommend buyers look elsewhere at more environmentally friendly alternatives. Imagine buying something sourced and made right here in the UK with no need to fly the wool around the world. So that would mean supporting our British businesses, using wool that is sourced from British sheep (so therefore adheres to DEFRA and no chance of mulesing occuring). Your wallet, animal welfare and the environment will thank you for it! Please do the right thing.

Never again would I shop direct with Schoffel. One of the items I purchased was found on another site been sold for almost 50% less than Schoffel direct.

I was given a jacket as a present. Before it had been worn and while still in the original packaging I contacted you to ask if you would swap it for a larger size. You refused as I could not (obviously as it was a gift) produce a receipt. I therefore purchased the right size and kept the gifted jacket which is wearable over a shirt without a pullover! I have several garments from you. My rating relates to your after sale customer service not your product!

I've always really enjoyed Schöffel products, but given I've had two emails to customer support ignored after an issue with my most recent order, I can only give this poor rating.

Terribly disappointed with ladies half zip fleece. I’m a 12-14 but size 16 was too small !!! I suppose I will have to consider buying a small Mens. It’ makes online shopping a nonsense if sizes are not true !!

I was very pleased with my Lambswool 1/4 zip Jumper when I bought last Summer but after six months it has a hole worn through the left elbow. To make matters worse Schōffel refused to replace or refund saying this was wear and tear so I may never receive satisfaction. Perhaps this lack of durability is a feature of lambswool but the label was silent on any such weakness.

Have had gilet over last 6 years and lived and loved it on asking for new one for xamas had to go 2 sieses up when old one still fits also after 2 months and no washes it bubbles on pockets zips not as good and looks old now very disappointed

Bought a cashmere scarf as a gift and it doesnt stay flat, it's rolled up each side like a scroll, so disappointing and it's very irritating as it doesnt wrap properly around the neck due to it being constantly rolled up.

First ordered 5th January but did not arrive. Coat didn’t arrive, contacted Schoffel who arranged to send another one immediately. Over one week from then and still no coat. Would like to review but still nothing received.

I paid good money for what i thought would be a good product - the pocket has come unstitched within a week of occasional wearing !

Returned an unworn £160 merino wool jumper as it was not suitable for my wife but never received acknowledgment- let alone a refund despite it being sent back via special delivery. Pretty poor in my opinion!
