“I have just had to replace my Schoffel shooting coat. The old one had ceased to be waterproof and in a heavy downpour I would get soaked. It was also beginning to look tired. That is not surprising as it was bought in November 2007 and lasted to 2023 being used very regularly and very hard. The material was resistant to any briars or rips and it was warm and comfortable. I have replaced it with a slightly lighter model of coat and am interested to see if it lasts as long. Mind you, I am not sure that I will as I will be 82 by then.”

“I bought a Schoffel windproof jacket approx 20 to 30 years ago. Apart from having 2 new zips it is still going strong. I think it cost me £120/130. I felt it was time to replace it as everyone gets fed up with me always wearing it. The jacket I purchased from you was terrible. You could see through it and it had no lining and was far too small for me. I could not work out why there was 2 zips which I could not do the jacket up before returning it absolutely disgusted with it compared to the one I have.”
